I love NPR. For the most part it's an unbiased news outlet. However, from time to time there might be some articles published that seem bias. It's still my go to site for news. The website is easy to navigate, it's not a jigsaw puzzle layout like some news websites.
Mary Louise Kelly is the worst. Her voice is like nails on chalk board. She interrupts guest all the time after a question. Ari Sharipo is not much better.
NPR used to have the refreshing tones. It was more objective in reporting news... until it turned into just another network outlet spreading propaganda for its sponsoring mega corporations. Yet it still have frequent pretentious "fund-raising" as if it still needs individual donations.
Furthermore, it also recklessly instigate/spread Asian-hate (especially Chinese-Hate), which is the final straw took me away from listening to it.
Strongly suggest Houstonian to ditch the pretender FM88.7, and switch to the true community radio: FM90.1 KPFT.

They fear monger, race bate, children programming has become disturbing. My tax dollars could be better spent and I told my wife not to donate anymore!
NPR has always been my favorite station, especially 1A to listen to during my morning commute. Sadly since Jenn White took over it become inflammatory full of confusing and tendencies in presenting host personal point of view especially feministic and politically inflammatory and one sided programs. NPR is loosing its unbiased source of information and becoming like other stations one sided point of view trying to manipulate listeners into the host agenda. Also the guest are selected to fit that ideology and not to have opposing opinions which stimulates pertinent conversations and slowed a discussion and thought producing.

Tip for consumers:
For unbiased news, I recommend NPR.
National Peoples Radio is the official voice of New Bolshevism/Democratic Party elites. It is the one place a fellow traveler can go to hear how awful America is, how terrible tRump is, and how whites must pay for their past sins and crimes. If you need to indoctrinate your kids, then switch that dial to any of the tax free, Non-profit communist radio stations currently operating on tax payer funding in every major city in the US.
Too many commentators/interviewers on npr mumble and speak too quickly...many, not all. This is very annoying.
Thankyou
NPR has become the radio for anti-white propaganda. Biased towards black nationalism. Politically one sided for the democratic party. Hates everything republican and pro-America. Pro destruction to the USA and dividing the country. I listen to NPR daily to know what the enemy is thinking and what they are thinking is destruction to a great country. They want the USA to become a third world nation apologizing for anything and everything of our history. They use "White Supremacy" more often than any station but never Black-Nationalism. I would never give my $$$$ or cars or volunteer for them.
Tip for consumers:
Listen to NPR to know the truth about this anti american charity
Since NPR is plagued by financial problems and lost its independence by becoming a mouthpiece for the the Whitehouse and has to avoid friction with the abundance of corporations it advertises for, this medium is in a free fall.
This development already started years before the Covid Pandemic. I have been listening to NPR on a daily basis (not anymore for quite some time which I will explain later). First from 2005-2009 to WDET Detroit MI/ Wayne State University. From 2009-2015 to KPBS San Diego CA/ San Diego State University. When I am in New York NY I listen to local NPR station WNYC.
I presented and made radio documentaries myself for Dutch Public Radio 1987-1994. We learned a couple of skills and do's and do-nots that nowadays radio 'journalists' and hosts and reporters never seemed to have brought to their attention. (has there been any training or correction at all?)
I will not elaborate too long, but here are a few skills today's NPR voices are clueless about:
1. When you are on AIR, pre-recorded or live you have to have a clear voice, have a distinct 'dictie' and breathing technique.
2. Speak loud enough for the mike to catch your mumbling.
3. Control the 'sing-song' of the lines you speak. E.G: do not let your voice go down in tone at every line you finish.
4. TAKE YOUR TIME * This has to become a second nature if you think you should be on radio. Listeners will lose you quickly when to speak too fast or breathless or with you mouth half open. (most of the times these days I can't UNDERSTAND (physically) what is being said, so you l,ose me.)
5. I hear this now all the time over the last 5 years. Especially in hourly (really?) News Reals. 90% of the time a sound bite or a quote from someone is utterly unnecessary. It makes a forced non-informative ridiculous impression and adds nothing. To the information the newsreader wants to convey. The editors who edit these quotes should know better and act accordingly.
6. The people who compose the news bulletins at NPR seem, to put it mildly, of a questionable journalistic competence. Plus they coerce the news reader to go through the topics at a constant maximum speed. By the time the stock market is being mentioned, you know the news real is over. (do you have money to invest in stocks and bonds? I think 99% of the NPR audience has not.)
7. The NPR station for San Diego, KPBS, has a habit for as long as I have tuned in to come up with local items about non-issues that are next to impossible to identify with. Besides that the station is packed with endless commercials to an extent you want just one thing and that is switching off your radio.(which by the way is not the case at KCRW from Santa Monica CA. It is way more relaxed to listen to and has 50% less commercials.
All in all my choice for the NPR station with the highest all over news, debates and cultural information is WNYC in New York City.
Nation wide I think NPR is losing their mission statement to inform their listeners adequately and for me it has arrived at an unbearable quality referring to my local station KPBS.
VANESSA ROMO did a heck of a hit piece about the story of Bobbi Wilson.
This story was repulsive and Race baiting Nonsense!
An older man calls the police because he sees something odd and the Wilson family jumps to Racism and the Police racially profiling!
NPR and V. Romo, be ashamed of yourselves
Tip for consumers:
That this was a Leftist Hit piece on White America
NPR has become a biased, gaslighting machine for the far left. Nothing but anti conservative hate speech.
Tip for consumers:
NPR news is just a conservative hate outlet. Another tool of democrats to gaslight republicans and fill liberals and youths bellies full of hate so they can push social communism ultimately enslaving and controlling citizens. This will destroy any chance for peace and annihilate freedom for future generations.
Hindu temple will be consecrated on the grounds of destroyed historic mosque
JANUARY 19,*******:13 AM ET; on HEARD ON MORNING EDITION by Diaa Hadid.
NPR outdoes itself again. The Indian supreme court after due consideration of evidence determined that the location of the Babri Masjid was an earlier temple for the birth location of Shree Ram. The Islamic invaders that came to India to loot and destroy temples and force conversions. If NPR took time to research the story ( Ref: Indian Islam, the religious Quest of India by Dewick & Titus); she would have known that thousands of the important temples were destroyed by Islamic invaders and looted. Instead of the biased stories, research the story and put honest facts in the front of the audience. Do not spread falsehoods using half true stories. Request to all Hindus that contribute to NPR, unless they publish truthful stories, stop supporting them.
NPR consistently spreads false news about the current Indian administration. Today in 9 am east coast news, they repeated that BBC offices were raided. This is known to be a falsehood where BBC admitted wrongdoing and paid back taxes and penalties.
I was a dues paying member at one time like many other educated Indians. I strongly recommend NPR to be truthful or Indians should stop supporting it financially and critique the accuracy of stories.
Tip for consumers:
Stop supporting financially news stories that have been proven false
NPR - National Public Radio is great on the web too! - Not only is NPR a great source of news on the radio in the car, it also has a reliable, objective, professional website. Anyone who values the preservation of journalistic integrity should support NPR. Down with FOX news!
I used to listen to NPR religiously because they seemed unbiased and fact-driven. Currently, they seem to just be pedaling propaganda, making Fox seem only mildly biased. I'm really glad I didn't donate my old vehicle to NPR before they became biased to the extreme. I can also avoid contributions for the foreseeable future.
Too much racial tension when listening to the station these days. The focus seems to have shifted. I often change the station when the start separation of race.
This website has it all. News, podcasts, art, music, entertainment... what more can you ask for? There is also none of the click-bait other websites have.
This needs to be stricken from their promotion. The number of far left "interviews" is astounding and unacceptable. OPINIONS from 'unqualified logicians' are the rule-people who understand a microcosm of the big picture intellectually, blather on and tear on emotional heartstrings with pointed interviews. How about creating balancing program with real numbers and costs connected to unintended consequences.
I do love a lot about NPR 3
An outstanding none biased media company.
Love them. Cry and laugh out loud with some of their reporting.
This site has it all. Live Concerts that you can either stream or download. They have a great podcast that is weekly called All songs Considered. In addition the music/interview show World Cafe is a must hear as well.
I am unabashedly an NPR nerd. Listening on the web allows you build playlists of news stories you would like to hear. Three hours of Fresh Air anyone?
NPR delivers breaking national and world news. Also top stories from business, politics, health, science, technology, music, arts and culture. Subscribe to podcasts and RSS feeds.
