They sent the wrong part and wouldn't refund my money because they could only refund it to the card that I used to purchase the part. But I lost that card, and canceled it, after paying for the part. Giving them the replacement card number wouldn't do. A curious business model.

My car is a Mini Cooper S R53.
I live in Japan, and if I can get the parts domestically, I don't have a problem, but if not, I often use Pelican Parts.
Pelican parts have a wide variety of products, and you can choose from genuine parts and aftermarket parts.
Shipping is fast, and it's a great help when I'm in trouble.
Also, the Pelican Parts website and YouTube explain how to replace parts, and I enjoy using them as a reference while maintaining my own car.
From my experience, I can recommend Pelican Parts.

The Sales Engineers and Customer Service/Help Desk folks at Pelican Parts are great! Easy to work with, technically astute and completely up-front about their products and policies. They handled parts exchanges, shipping updates and advice on using the tools they sell, from the mundane (Brake Fluid management when bleeding the brakes on my Syncro Vanagon without a Helper to pump the brake pedal) to the esoteric (Proper sizing and bend radius on offset wrenches for ignition and fuel injection component replacement). These folks know their stuff!

Thanks for stopping by to leave a review. I could not look up your order based on the name of the review. My apologies for the confusion on your order. Unfortunately, we are only able to refund the credit card used during the purchase of the order. If you cancel the card used on your original transaction, the card issuer is still under obligation to return your refund to you. In many cases I have seen the card issuer provide a check for the refunded amount if the account had been closed.

Pelican Parts was amazing. I had blown my head gasket in my 1989 Mercedes. The car is over 30 years old and I was not only able to get the parts needed, the ordering was easy and the service fast. I am totally 100% a big fam of Pelican parts.

I have been a user of Pelican parts for my two early european cars for some time now. Over the years I have always experienced prompt and efficient service. This has covered tech queries, advice regarding left and right hand drive anomalies, and even using their tech knowledge pool for help on doing things. I am not one to right reviews but given the service has always matched what they said they would do 'on the box' I thought I would put my views into print. This has not always been my experience with online suppliers. I will be using Pelican for the forseeable future.

Delay in shipment of the product is at it's worst, Tracking number provided has no update after shipment. You can not tell what is happening with your order. Email from the customer service does not help at all as they appear to be making pandemic as an excuse. Be very aware of this company better stay away from them.

Thanks for stopping by to leave a review. Thank you for your over three years of business with us. Our small team does appreciate all the support.

My apologies for not living up to expectation on your recent order. I know when you are in the middle of a build any delay is painful. I am so sorry to be the cause of that pain. I reviewed your order, and it looks like this order was placed on September 19 and shipped out the following day on September 20. It appears that the packages were leaving our facility in Harbor City, California headed to Australia. With the shipping method being USPS priority mail. It is extremely frustrating on our end when we do everything right to get the order out the door only to have a carrier flub the delivery. Unfortunately, with USPS I have seen some instances where tracking is missing or not updated. When we call our rep to get more information, they inform us that it will eventually update and to remain patient. Not the answer either one of us want to hear. Personally, I think USPS’s care factor is zero.

I just shot you an email. If you have time, I would appreciate a note back. I’ll work with you to see if we can make up for this flub.

Fantastic company and prices that no other companies can beat it, I've order original Mercedes-Benz filter and paid $16 when same exact filter sells on EBay in Italy and Germany for $500, thank you Pelican Parts.

Excellent service! Had a very hard time finding the correct part on my own so Sales helped me choose the correct part. Delivery was fast! Price was more than fair for Genuine Parts and I'm very glad I called Pelican!
I tried to take pictures of the installed part and the invoice- but there was a lame error about file size being over 5.

Tip for consumers:
My import had parts not even NAPA could find.
But Pelican knew.
Sorry NAPA- all my business goes to Pelican now.

I order six items on Oct. 6,2020 and, while the shipment arrived on time, there were two problems.
1. My order for CHF 11S synthetic oil was not included, even though it said it was on the invoice.
2. I ordered 4 hose clamps 40-60 mm, what was shipped were 4 42-48 mm hose clamps.
I had to use my old clamps, and wanted to return the ordered clamps of the wrong size.
I called the toll-free number on thr bill of sale to complain, they said all well be taken care of.
Nothing happened,
I then emailed my complaint, and still nothing happened.
Then I got on this website and found The Vice President of eCommerce for Palican Parts LLC.
Michael Morita. I emailed my complaint to Michael. Now I got their attention.
I received an email from Michael saying Stacy Williams, the Consumer Service Supervisor, will take care of my complaint. She emailed me saying my CHF 11S fluid will be shipped and to keep the hose clamps.
I did receive my fluid promply.
Thank you Michael for your handling of this situation.

I have a 1997 993. I do much of the maintenance work myself. I recently needed the screw that secures the left rear taillight and was able to find it at Pelican. It's excellent that I can get not only "major/expensive" parts but also little OEM items like that screw. Pretty much everything that I have ever needed for maintaining my '97 993, I have been able to find at Pelican. I highly recommend them.

My package has been stuck at customs because these "geniuses" wrote a different amount in declared value for customs from what I paid so when I sent the invoice to DHL because they asked for it it didn't coincide with what was declared. They wrote down a higher amount which means I will pay higher import fees! The only option for customs is to send them an invoice that has the same amount as the one declared. When I talked on the phone with Pelican Parts they just acted like nothing. Not even a sorry for the inconvenience! Word of advice if you care about customer satisfaction: in declared value for customs write down the amount that was paid including whatever discount that was given for whatever reason and don't include shipping and handling in the declared amount. If you don't do this you're making your client pay more! Import fees for Mexico are very high so thank you for screwing me and not caring about it.

The website said free shipping, and when I went to check out, the cart added 16.99 shipping. I called and they said I did not order enough. And if I did not like it to buy somewhere else! So I did. I feel like they tried to cheat me and really dont care... BAD customer service...

Engine light comes on and read what is wrong. One #2 oxygen sensor bad. Replaced #1+#2=both of them The parts are tons better than last car owner used. A+

I have been using Pelican Auto Parts for several years now and the service has always been great! Five years ago I purchased a rebuilt 5 speed manual Transmission for my 2002 Mini Cooper due to the tranny shop not honoring their own warranty. The Transmission came with a 2 year warranty which I have never had to use which is Great!
I will not, in the foreseeable future use any other supplier for my Automotive needs.

I was having trouble finding a replacement turbo for my MK5 GTI. I found pelican parts on the third page of my search. All of the East Coast supplier we're out of stock, and I would have to wait three months for a drop shipment from Borg Warner. Pelican had my turbo in stock. My sales rep Gene worked with me to verify that the turbo was correct for my car. He was very patient and helpful and made sure I got what I needed. He also pointed out all the tech articles for working on my MK5. I received my delivery in four days which is way better than the two weeks it takes from the East Coast. I have since placed multiple orders for hoses and brake parts and I received the same great quality, service and fast shipping. Pelican is now my first stop for GTI parts I wholeheartedly recommend pelican parts for your European vehicles.

Ordered parts and paid for priority shipping so I can receive the second day, oh well they decided to cancel the order after payment. Why! Because they can only ship the to the address on the bank card. I never heard of that in my life. So my promise date was compromised. I purchased the parts from the dealer at a much cheaper price. And less aggravation.

Cyber fraud is increasing on the rise. Fraudsters get more and more creative in ways to commit credit card fraud. At Pelican we are aware of this and take every precaution to keep our customers safe.

We currently take into consideration several points of information to verify the security of a transaction. If we are able to verify enough information we can ship to any address a customer requests. On occasion our customer protection team has an order that for several reasons they cannot be validated back to the credit card holder. Cases like this are extremely rare as 99.71% of all of our orders are processed without any issue. That includes orders not shipping to the billing address. If for some reason information cannot tie back to a card holder our team may ask if you would like to ship to your billing address or other additional information to help verify an identity. This helps us to protect card holders and ensure that it is a legitimate transaction. This is for our customers protection in the event that a credit card may have been compromised. I can fully understand how this can be frustrating. Unfortunately, in these times we must take every precaution to ensure transactions are safe. I hope this explains a bit on why our team asked if we could ship to your billing address. My apologies again.

Ordered a cai for my bmw that was supposed to take 3 days to get to me but i didnt receive it till 2 months later. I personally will never shop with this company again. I Had one person in customer service that actually could get me info on my order. Very on composed company!

Since buying my 2003 Boxster Base in July of 2021 I have used Pelican Parts several times. I have bought hood struts, a hood release actuator, a complete brake kit and a few odds and ends. Every part has fit perfectly. The few times I was uncertain about fitment I was able to talk to a REAL person who invariably steered me in the right direction. I have been more than satisfied with the assistance I have received, delivery times and of course, price. It is a comfort knowing that when I need Porsche parts Pelican has my back.
