“Some Answers”

If you don't think the website you looked at has "enough" or the right kind of information, call and order PE's catalogue. I guarantee it will have all the information you can handle, including all the titles of the PhD/MD level research papers where PE got the information they use. Just beware, these papers will be very "scientifically dense" and you might not be able to interpret them as they are not written for the general public. Please note that their products are not intended to be for general good health — most of them are actually intended to be used as definitive medications prescribed by doctors to that specific diseases or maladies. That's why (for the most part) you have to purchase them from a health care professional. It would be easy to take some product and get way too high a dosage of some vitamin or other biological and damage an organ (examples could be B6, potassium or Vit A). Their prices are high because they test each and every batch of product for potency and purity, they do not contain any fillers or binders that could be harmful, do not contain any of the common allergens such as nut tree products and are verified by every organization that does so. But here's the best part — without any prior appointment, you can show up at their plant in Sudbury, Massachusetts and physically check/inspect the place. All of the research, development and manufacture of their products is done there in Sudbury. Inside looks like bio containment lab with everyone walking around in space suits! Go see it yourself. By the way, the testing of their products is done by third-party agencies. In my opinion, they are the best provider of medicinal supplements on the planet. Nice to know we can trust something made by a company again. Talk to your doctor before taking any product from any supplier! Some people could injure themselves taking even something like a multivitamin. No joke. Use care and medical advice.

“A 15% Restocking Fee”

I've been ordering supplements from Pure Encapsulations for more than 10 years. When I recently inquired about returning an item I had ordered by mistake and had not yet received, the customer service rep promptly informed me that not only would I incur the shipping cost, which I expected, but also a 15% restocking fee, which is another way to discourage returns. Many third party vendors resell their products, and none charge a restocking fee. I'am very hesitant to ever order from the manufacturer again.

Lack of follow up and bad customer service. Sent an email almost a week ago at this point with no communication on their part.

The return policy is such a scam. Narrow window, no return shipping and restocking fee. Ortho Molecular here I come.

I recently received a major discount on Pure Encapsulations (PE) products from my credit card company, so I shopped for PE supplements for immediate use and also for storage. Considering the high cost of PE supplements a large discount justified my large purchase that I ordered from Pure Encapsulations directly. Out of 9 supplements 5 had only one year expiration dates. When I purchased those same products before from authorized vendors they had at least two year expiration dates. When I contacted PE they informed that their products are not intended to be store! So beware if you purchase from the manufacturer with a discount code they send items with undisclosed short expiration dates. Their customer support is unsupportive and unconcerned.

This capsule has the worst smell ever. I tried to take it but I could not tolerate the smell. Did not help with diarrhea and gave me heart burn.

Pure Encapsulations may have some good products but they are not unique. They are over-priced and one may accept this. However, their customer service and social media teams are unprofessional and may also be cons, too.
They advertise some products along with an opportunity to win them. This has been a scam all the way. They never reply and once asked a question about it in public, they close the discussions and the ability to post. Shameful and disgraceful attitude.
Once contacted by email, again, they chose to ignore. An unprofessional approach to promotion with an aggressive and dishonest marketing strategy.

There are other supplements manufacturers that honour their words and do respect their clients. I can name a few Thorne Research ( absolutely trustworthy products and customer service); Biotics Research (also spot on), Kirkman (faultless and high quality products). All of them are highly recommended.

I am avoiding from now on Pure Encapsulations and I shall not spend a penny on their products.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid them period

My physician sold me the pure caps pure lean supplements for weight loss and they have helped tremendously. I like how pure encapsulation includes all of the ingrediants recommended for weight loss such as chromium all in one pill. Good thing is that it doesn't have caffeine in it. I also like that they included evidence for every single supplement. The only thing I don't like about the pure caps pills is the coating of the actual pill. It sticks to my throat when I swallow it. I also do not like how much more expensive the pills cost over generic CVS pills. Their website is an amazing wealth of anti aging and supplement information. I just wish I could buy their pills online rather than through my doctor.

Well... they have one of those websites that looks like a pharmaceutical scam, or an overseas pharmacy ready to take your money and send you fake products. They aren't though - they do actually make and send good stuff. I really recommend that they tone down on the generic medical imagery on the site though - total turnoff!

I really liked the neuro supplements on purecaps and I like how they even sell a low dose lithium pill which many other companies do not try and sell due to toxicity at high doses. Works well for me.

The problem with vitamins, herbs, and supplements purchased at drug stores is that customers do not know the quality control over them. This company has quality ingredients at the proper doses. These products are sold through physicians which does limit their availability to the general public, however that also means that they are giving doses and ingredients that are of higher quality and contain pharmaceutical grade ingredients.
