“Paid over $5,000 and can't use.”

Rick C.

I was recently charged over $5,000 for my annual subscription to Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions. It's Sunday, I have accounting work I need to take care of because I will be too busy tomorrow to work with it. Like before, Quickbooks will not open, the software is telling me my payment lapse. They have my credit card number on file, they managed to charge me for the year. How could it lapse? Yes, this is an error that has been going on for over a year and happens about every other month. No one at Quickbooks is smart enough to fix it and it takes hours for a tech support person to work through it so Quickbooks will open for another 2 or 3 months. Until then, your business is place on hold. No weekend support for their awful software. Been a QB customer since 1993. I think it's time for change. They don't give you any credit for issues either.

Tip for consumers:
Find different software. I have heard this from many competitors that there is much better software out there.

Verified purchase

I am trapped in a sophisticated and malicious loop that I cannot escape. After attempting to cancel my subscription, I was locked out of my account. When I tried to log in again, I was told that I had engaged in suspicious behavior and was unable to do so. I followed the steps to unlock my account, which involved receiving a code via email and entering it into their form. However, I was then told that I needed to provide additional information, but no form or platform was provided to do so. The customer support is inaccessible, as attempting to contact them simply redirects me back to the login page, where my account is still locked. This pattern repeats, with the same request to send a code to my email, with no resolution.

To resolve this issue, I will instruct my bank to retrieve the funds and request a new credit card, in order to end my association with this greedy company.

I advise against signing up for Intuit. A good product and proper customer support are essential components of a successful business, and it is clear that Intuit lacks both.

You may not believe me, but take a look at the other reviews and you will see the same concerns I am expressing.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid any Intuit product at any cost!

I would just like to thank QuickBooks for lying to us, to make a sale. We downloaded and installed the Wix connector and were told it WOULD sync and import the inventory no problem! As well as adjust inventory levels no matter if it was the store or online that made the sale. Well guess what, it does NOTHING! Going on 2 weeks of manually inputting inventory again as you lied to us and have absolutely no clue on what the connector does. Where do you hire these people? Or do you just hire some scam telemarketing company to give the answers? You have cost us large, in time and money I think we may have a lawsuit if we decided to go that route for fraudulent business practices. It is sad when we know more than any of your hired help goons. I was excited for this but now I am stuck using software from a company that does not give 2 s****s about their customer and their needs, at least we still have sage 50 with all the inventory if i do decide to dump your program. This also serves as a warning to any body thinking about QB, BEWARE they will tell you anything to make a sale. Sage 50 is the superior choice.

I've been a customer for over ten years. I love the QuickBooks online product. It has everything I need to run my business. However, I don't like the customer service. I have never seen such a horrific service. I dread having a problem with anything related to QBO because I know it will not get solved for 14 days or more. I have called close to 6 or 7 times to solve one issue. Your customer service is the worst I've ever seen. The hours are horrible, the agents need to be more knowledgeable, and the follow-up needs to be more present. I have a problem right now that has been unresolved for six days.
My merchant account is on hold. I can't touch any of our money. I own a small business, and our working capital needs to flow. We can not operate with a service like this.
According to Nerdwallet, Quickbooks Online is the best accounting software 2024, followed by Xero, Zoho Books, and Freshbooks. I agree with their assessment regarding usability, product offerings, etc., but god forbid I have a problem; the resolution time extends beyond a day or two, aggravating, unexplained, frustrating, astray, and unsatisfactory.
Since I started my business, I've only used QBO for accounting, but it's time to go. I can't use a company that does not value their clients. I'm frustrated to no end, and this is very stressful. Adios, QBO! Zoho Books or Xero, here I come!

If you do book keeping this is not for you, it is hard to use has very low functionality and if your not very careful inputting your data you WILL lose a lot of money when invoicing. When you realize that something doesn't seem right about the program you will call them and if you are lucky enough to get some one who speaks your language you will find out that you actually know more about the program than them. You will also find that you spend an exceptionally long time on hold while they look for the answer in the help menu that you can access yourself.
