This site describes itself as providing free ebook downloads. I read their terms of service and any similar descriptive links before starting. I tried to download a book, but it said I had to be logged in to download. I created my account with my email address and a password. It showed that I was logged in, but the download told me I was still logged out. When I logged out and back in it took me to a dialog that asked me for a credit card to charge my account for $1.00 "to verify the country in which I reside". This is where I quit the site, although there was no obvious way to delete my account. They had caused me to divulge my email address on the pretext that I could then download books for free. Then they said I had to provide a credit card for it to work. To a sensible person, this has "scam" written all over it. My email could get spammed, but much worse my credit card could be misused by them or by another party they sold it to.
