“Great and Problem-Free Rental”

I had a great experience renting a car from Record Go in Valencia in October 2024. I couldn't be happier, and it's not often I can say that about a car rental company. The pick-up was easy, the car was good, and the price was excellent. Everything went smoothly, from pick up to return, with helpful and friendly staff in the rental office. We especially appreciated Pavel. I would definitely use Record Go next time I'm in Valencia.

Missed a transfer in London and contacted Record Go. Arrived with no pick up, and at Thessaloniki outlet was told it was the booking agencies fault, they do not modify a reservation (all I wanted was them to do was to hold it for 24 hours, at my cost!). I contacted the booking agency, they blamed Record Go. That's the con! Same story for the weeping woman the next line over. My lawyer is suing them both for all costs and damages.

Please be aware of their mal practice, I have been told at drop off that no charge will be made by one of their staff member or a dispute over a tow service.
Victoria, the staff member assured me that no charge will be made and let me leave. Once back in England my CC was charged twice and refunded once. Be very careful not to trust choose a different company for your rental

My wife reserved a car for me in to pickup in Marbella Spain for the week of Dec 29 thru to Jan 05 2017 with RENTALCARS.COM and prepaid all the costs for the week. They in turn placed the reservation with a company called RECORDRENTACAR.com. Arrived at airport, went to pickup my prepaid car and was ushered into a clerk to do an unreserved car. There the clerk started filling out document information as if it wasn't reserved or paid for. In her doing this she showed me in type 2 mm high (see sample) a comment regarding age. It says if you are older than 69 years of age you may not use the standard insurance package and are obliged to take and extended coverage insurance in addition for a MERE 140 Euros extra. Plus, they added another 24 euros for the booking thru another company and then I had to pay in advance 51 euros for fuel. Well needless to say it was impossible to cancel and get my money back so I took the car. Wasted nearly one/half hour with the them. My wife wouldn't tell me how much she paid but indicated it was quite a bit more then what I paid the following week with AVIS and that was without all the add-ons.

NOW the following week I went straight to AVIS without a reservation, and was rented a car bigger better, and newer, for 265 euros, insurance included, and it took no more then 10 minutes to complete the order and have the car keys in hand.

We suffered a disastrous experience with Record Go Mallorca
€871 of our deposit has not been returned to us since we returned the vehicle
They claim that the vehicle was damaged, but this was absolutely not the case.
We will launch a legal procedure

We booked a small category vehicle (Seat Ibiza) via Booking.com with full cover through Booking.com. In the meantime, before the trip, my card was stolen and then cancelled. Since this was Christmas time, the bank took longer to issue a new card and it didn't arrive on time.
At the airport we paid for the second driver, who had all his cards, but the lady at the counter said she couldn't give us the car then. I asked if she could change the main driver. Of course, but only if she charged us extra 275 euro for full cover. She also said she had no problem showing me where it said so. Pretty rude, I'd say. Especially since that was the very card that paid for the booking. Nobody minded then.
There was no "Just a second, I'll talk to my manager and see what we can do". Nothing. It was like her sole goal was to squeeze out all the money she could. She left the wrong address and email and phone number in the system and on the document (mine). I checked it before she changed the driver, but she never asked us to recheck the data after.
Nothing really mattered any more as soon as she took money. And we got C3 Aircross, which is twice the size we wanted. Why did we choose the vehicle category if they give us whatever they want anyway?
No manual, of course. We had to look online for all the initial issues.
We travel a lot and frequently rent cars. Sometimes there are unexpected problems and in such cases all the companies so far have tried to help or find a compromise.
Record Go apologized. They are thankful they can benefit from my experience and improve. They'll forward the complaint to their staff manager. However, the lady just did her job. It was all in accordance with the company rules.
Of course it was. Which tells you a lot about the company. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to help them improve. Cost me a few, but helping companies to do better is... priceless?

I had a great experience renting a car from Record Go in Valencia in October 2024. I couldn't be happier, and it's not often I can say that about a car rental company. The pick-up was easy, the car was good, and the price was excellent. Everything went smoothly, from pick up to return, with helpful and friendly staff in the rental office. We especially appreciated Pavel. I would definitely use Record Go next time I'm in Valencia.

RecordGo staff was very rude and did not provide the car (or same catagory). We had made a reservation for a car (a SUV size) at Malaga Airport to hold 5 persons with suitcases and hand luggage. They said they only could offer a smaller 4 person car (lower catagory). When we explained that it would not fit 5 people and luggage and we had to go to a funeral the next morning, they said that was not their problem and they did not care. When we complained, they did not want to serve us anymore. They were very rude and insulting. It was 22:45 hrs and they closed at 23:00 hrs. They said we are closing and you better go and get a car from another car rental company. So, we had to go to across the hall to EuropeCar were we got a car that suited 5 people.
BEWARE NOT TO EVER RENT A CAR FROM RECORDGO. They also now refuse to compensate us for the extra cost or pay back the money we paid for the reservation when we did not get a car. This company should be boycotted for cheating customers.

Tip for consumers:
Do not ever rent a car from RecordGo Car Rental Company. You will be treated rude and cheated and you will carry a very unsatisfied and anoying feeling during the remainder of your travels.

We had to go to another car rental company because RecordGo did not want to provide a car that was paid for. They were very rude and inconsiderate re the delicate sitaution we were in, as we had to go to a family funeral.

Nightmare this experience it's a nightmare, first we get to the airport RECORD GO asking for our car and the men tells us that our car RESERVATION is NOT THERE (I can't find you here) we start calling the record go and we find us in THE ATOCHA SUCURSAL, the lady Noir let us know that we NEED TO TAKE A TAXI €30 to get the car, (ridiculous) why someone will get a Taxi to get a rental? They never let us know when we bought the days.
Noir,Record go clerk tell us will be good to buy the full guarantee,will have EVERYTHING COVERED,"if you guys need us at any time will be there "she said, we drive the second day and we have a flat tire, we LOOK FOR THE SPARE TIRE to change it ourselves and THERES NO spare tire! We call Atocha Noir Record go and SHE / they NEVER ANSWERED, we kept calling another sucursal and Carlos answered we tell him we have a flat and there's no spare, he said he'll send someone to fix the tire, 2 hours later Luis (tow truck)men, look at the tire and said "I can't fix it " the tires are old I tell him we don't have spare and he tells us NO RENTAL HAS SPARES,we ask don't you have another? He said NO,2 hours waiting and he didn't have a tire! He tell us he'll take the car to the company and I ask if we go with him he immediately said NO! "Call the office they tell you what's next.
We called Carlos Perez Gonzales again and again and again and another clerk Stephan answered we tell him we are waiting for the taxi and he says Record go will send someone to pick us up they are working on it we called every hour after they took the car and Stephan answered letting us know that It's OUR FAULT BECAUSE everyone should check for the extra tire we WAITED FIVE HOURS 5hrs for the taxi to pick us up, it was cold it was raining and we where outside in the road waiting for Record go people to do the job they promised they will
Taxi take us to Barcelona sucursal Francisco is there we get our luggage and backpacks INSIDE THE OFFICE WITH HIM, and one second after my BACKPACK IS GONE, from inside the office by the record go desk, I panicked and ask him to LOOK AT THE CAMERAS, that it was a woman that was sitting there when we walked in and he Tells me, that HAPPENED ALL THE TIME, I kept asking (Francisco) to look at the camera he explain only THE POLICE CAN LOOK AT THE CAMERAS, I called the police and 20 minutes after my banks let me know they have transactions we obviously didn't do so we cancel my cards but still the THIVES GET ONE TRANSACTION WITHOUT PIN, we go to that liquor store and ask for the cameras video and same thing they have the video but ONLY TO THE POLICE they will show it, we go to the POLICE STATION AND ask to go see bot cameras they ask us to make a statement and then they will go check,today we check the trunk and there's NO SPARE TIRE IN IT!this is unforgivable we lost money personal jewelry and so many other irreplaceable articles and still No Spare in the Truck.

During our recent trip to Spain my wife and I rented a car through an on-line booking site, Discover Cars. We purchased full coverage insurance through Discover Cars, in addition we have a rider on our veicle insurance here in Canada which will cover us for rental cars. The car was rented for from the RecordGo office, Valencia Airport. When we arrived at the counter at RecordGo, the agent tried to use every high pressure and scare tactic he could to try and sell us his company's own full insurance policy. When we refused he alluded to the fact we would likely be charged for something when we returned the car. When he printed off the rental agreement he stated that there was NO damage whatsoever to the vehicle. When we inspected the vehicle we notices scratches and rub marks. We went back to tell the agent about them and he told us to just take pictures of the damage and we would be fine. A couple of days after we picked the car up we noticed that the back up/tail light, which is mounted on the Citroen C3 on an angle under the rear bumper. As the vehicle was parked, backed in. Close to the fence and low brick wall at the rental site, we missed it. When we returned the vehicle and told the agent about the tail light, the stated, very loudly and rudely. I DON"T CARE! IF YOU DON"T HAVE PROOF YOU WILL PAY! We were charged $343.49 for this broken tail ight lens and are putting a claim through Discover Cars to recover the money. This is a very underhanded and dirty company which no one should ever rent from.

We flew to Majorca on May 8 and right at the airport ordered the car through the booking.com.

We took the confirmation that the car will be from the company record 90.
And at the same time confirmation from the company Rentalcars.com.

Then we took another confirmation with a contract from the company Autografus.com.

In short, I'm confused, 1 car was from 3 different companies, or these three companies are the same company.

I took the car at the airport of Majorca in the company Record 90.

The deadline was from 05/05/2019 time 18:00 to 05/05/2019 time 4:30.

We were going to return to Paris on the morning flight.

We were charged 103,99, of which - Car rental price 41,74 Prepayment was made
Full protection 62.25. Prepayment has been paid.

Autografus.com sent along with the contract an invoice of 108.53 (FUEL TANK - 74.85 + SERVICE AND REFUELLING CHARGE-33.68) + EXCESS / FRANQUICIA- 1400. 00.

Since I did not have a credit card, but a debit card, they did not block 1,400 euros, but were removed from the card and said they would return it as soon as we returned the car intact.

On May 10, our plans in Majorca changed and we decided to stay there for one more day and return to Paris not in the morning of May 11, but in the evening.

Because we decided to contact the rental company and extend the lease.

We wrote to Rentalcars.com and booking.com, they answered that it was impossible and they would have to call and find out from them.

We called and they told us that it would be a fine of 40 euros.

We agreed, then we were told that it was impossible and better to return the car ahead of time.

In the end, they upset us with all the plans and we decided to take the car to the airport ahead of time and passed it on 10.05 at 19.00 with a full tank.

In the office, record 90 at the airport, we were told that the previous contract cannot be renewed, you need to either return the car or get a new contract, but then again pay all the payments for the second, including the EXCESS / FRANQUICIA 1400.

Part of the money for fuel came to us on the card the next day, you can see this amount in green with the sign: +74.85.

However, the EXCESS / FRANQUICIA 1,400 was not returned.

A week has passed, there is no money(TODAY IS 17.05.2019).

Rentalcars.com and booking.com responded that there may be a problem in the bank, but it is not clear why the problem is in the bank?

They returned a small amount, why would they freeze a large amount.

It seems to me that the problem is in the rental company, as I wrote in Rentalcars.com and booking.com.

Then they replied that the refund will take 20-30 days.

It is not clear why if I returned the car in the same condition, I can not get my money back?

It turns out that if I take the car a second time, they will again withdraw the 1,400 franchise from me, and if I take it 3 times, then 4,200?

What kind of moronic system?

And I remembered that 3 years ago we took a car in Mallorca at the hotel, there were not such famous companies as the record 90 or others, but they didn't take a deposit of 1,400 euros, but only 200 or 300 euros, and when It was to extend the rent, went to meet the client.

I have not received my deposit back, imagine if such rental companies as a record 90, sixt, avis, will take 1,400 euros of deposit every day from 1000 customers and return in a month, and at this time to turn money in banks through operations Overnight, can you imagine how much money they will earn?

In addition, their employees impose their additional services on you, they have hidden payments.

Therefore, I advise you - do not rent a car at the airport, but take it at the hotel from some signor Pedro, he will treat you 1000 better than rental companies.

DON'T TAKE THE CARS FROM THIS OR OTHER COMPANY IN AIRPORT!
Take the cars in your hotel, it will be cheapers then in airport

Record in Spain is the worst car rental. They framed us because they wanted to charge us for a scratch that was already on the car when we picked it up at 12 midnight after queuing for over 3 hours in the terminal. As soon as we dropped off our car, a lady thug rushed to the front of the car to start taking a picture of the scratch! What baffled us is she didn't look round the car apart from the front. They knew what they were doing as my children too were shocked at their attitude and behaviour. This is day light robbery. Please I'm begging you all if it's the last car rental in Spain DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM RECORD. If you do you have yourself to blame. They deserved minus 0 start not even 1 star.
