I have been visiting Redlion Harrisburg for about ten years and always have had a great customer experience. I recently had an issue on one of my stays and Randy, the manager rectified expediently and graciously. I will revisit. Also food is good!

“Scammed by employee at front desk”

On 06/12/2023 We checked into The Red Lion hotel in that Goodyear area (AZ). That evening someone from the front desk called our room. Stated they made a mistake and owed us money back on our credit card. My husband exchanged information and by morning our account was wiped out. Scammed by someone working at the front desk however no one took any responsibility for it. Nor apologized, nor investigated it at all. We also had two rooms and neither we're cleaned during that week

I was told they would not and could not cancel my reservation and that the hotel had to call them not me. Completely asinine and a waste of everyone's time. I will make sure to NEVER use their site again. They made me go full Karen. FULL. KAREN.

Booked a room using the Priceline Express Deal. When we checked in we found out why they were willing to book this room on the express deal. It was smoke saturated to an extrema. Price line blames the hotel and the hotel blames Priceline. The fact is, both have my money for 2 nights of a room I was unable to stay in. For a family trying to have one weekend at the beach, this hotel took all we had.

Canadas Best Value Inn is operating under the umbrella of Red Lion.!
We booked two nights in Langley BC Canada at the Glover Road Best Value Inn by using HotWireVacation, com. For April 30 and May 1 but our plans changed and I called HotWire to cancel! This was done 60 hours before our first night arrival.! The operator put me on hold in order to ask the Langley motel to authorize the cancellation (her words)! Coming back on line she confirmed the transaction just like that. And said to check my mail for a number.!
I went into my mail and got the confirmation with the caveat of a penalty charge of $ 46.52!
(one night rent PLUS all taxes.!) When i questioned that charge, Hotwire told me that they got nothing and that Canadas Best collected the whole amount.! Upon arrival I visited the property on Glover Rd. And was told that Canadas Best Value Inn didn't do the penalty thing either and so, put the whole rip-off on Hotwire. Vacation who, when asked, totally refuted this assumption.!
Now for the best part... the property was booked solid and thus, they are NOT losing one red cent.! They are only being greedy and, I suppose splitting the penalty!
Red Lion denied any knowledge and washed their hands of the matter.!
I also contacted Discover who said that only AFTER the transaction has posted will they investigate.!
What is obvious is the will to screw the customers, big time, by a bunch of greedy people.!
1)hotwire is NOT emphasizing enough to its online clients that the cancellation policy is VERY restrictive. And the writing very small.!
2)Red Lion should get involved about the nice little gimmick going on.!
3)Discover should NOT wait until after the dirty deed has been posted, BUT help its
Customers to avert bogus charges.!
4)finally the main culprit should be ashamed to refuse a credit when there is no loss for them.!
SHAME on Canadas best value inn.! And shame on the "manager" who dismissed me and lied to my face!
