It is always a pleasure to work with the agents and staff at RE/MAX Real Estate Center in Ames. The agents work so hard to represent both their buyers and sellers. We can always count on the closing department to ensure a smooth closing. Thoroughly enjoy being teammates in this industry.
Recently I enquired an appraisal for one of Remax realtors. To my surprise he came to the conclusion that my property should be sold about 200000$ under the assessed value. He claimed that the price suggested is based on his market analysis for 2 weeks period. I smelled that he is incompetent and I fired him the day I got my assessment from the government which was 200000$ over the previous year value. I suspect that the crock was looking to make some of his friends happy with my property.

Mr Chris Van Kraayenburg was for me the worse possible experience with Estate agent. Arrogant, not supportive. Showing no respect. From very first moment interested ONLY in money and fees collection. Real Shark for money. Judgemental. Sharing his unfair opinions about the tenant with landlord. Should never deal with customers! Putting people off this business.
Tip for consumers:
I would never ever recommend Mr Chris Van Kraayenburg if you want to deal with Estate agent

As a.mother and a wife I can not stand by their " Dad splaining" commercial. Dad's are there to guide and help others and they're own through tough situations and this commercial just proves how self conscious your company is to put down father's doing their best to appease a "generale audiance" and a s**** company. Professionals are amazing but to have to put down family members to promote business is absolutely atrocious. Great Job sucking.
I wrote an earlier description about how I was robbed by a real estate agent and her husband. This is an update. In February 2024 the Washington State board of licensing for real estate agents picked up my investigation. It is still in progress. It definitely met the threshold for further investigation. I also found out that the Realtors partner in crime died of cancer in 2022 and I was delighted because that's far more severe punishment and the state would ever administer. I'm still out thousands of dollars. I hope to find out in the near future when the investigation is complete just exactly what the state intends to do to these criminals. I hope they get a heavy fine and I hope that their license to practice real estate is revoked permanently. This is grand larceny and they should not be allowed to make a living as real estate agents in the state of Washington.

I hired a real estate agent who was a thief.
I sold my home in March of 2020 due to medical reasons. This was at the height of the covid crisis. I was unable to put my belongings into storage and I only took what would fit into a small apartment in a retirement community. The agent promised to put my possessions in a rented storage facility. 3 years later I was able to recover from a bad health condition and when I went to get my belongings out of storage I discovered thousands of dollars of my property had been stolen. They were only two people who had access. The real estate agent and myself. I filed a complaint with the State board of Realtors. Contract law has a six year statute of limitations so I'm easily covered. I also filed a stolen property report with the police and they have signed a detective to investigate but that investigation was closed. I'm still waiting for the state to begin their investigation but they did accept my complaint which is a good sign. Remax apparently has a very bad reputation for screwing their customers. I think the agent thought I was going to be dead in a month or two so it wouldn't matter if they stole my property instead of putting it safely into storage. I was told by the police detective that they denied stealing my property. I hope karma gets them. If they got a punishment fitting the crime their hands would be chopped off. It's too bad we don't have Sharia law here. Hard to believe that this is business as usual in the 21st century in America. I'm out easily a couple thousand dollars and I have no way to recover. Apparently remax brokerages across the country are all run like little Mafia enterprises. No doubt the owner of the brokerage is a willing participant to commit criminal theft of personal property whenever the opportunity presents itself. I can't believe I'm the only one. It's unfortunate that the state board that issues the licenses is toothless when it comes to disciplining agents who act in unethical and immoral ways with their clients. The only other recourse I have is to file a civil suit. I'd like to see someone take matters into their own hands the next time they are exploited and abused by a greedy real estate agent. It was a devastating experience and not one I ever hope to repeat. I also posted a true account of these same events on the brokerages website for all to see. It's still there and I do not intend to remove it ever!
Kiffany Ray was my agent to Remax through Zillow. She was absolutely fantastic with what little information she could provide and gave me the Realator to whom this property was listed under. She had an outstanding, upbeat attitude, and a positive outlook great for Monday morning.

Be sure to get a home inspection on this home this agent is not honest about the condition of this home...
They refused to give the deposit of my daughter back without a valid raison.👎😡
👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
Facts: We made an offer on a property, which was accepted. So, following the RE/MAX Buyers Guide, the next step was to pay for the inspection. There is no mention in that Guide or somewhere else about the possibility to lose the property at this point, and, as consequences, to lose the money on the inspection. My husband & I are new in New York and first buyers. We lost the property because someone made a better offer after we paid for the inspection. I'm wondering how much money we will lose that way? There is no law to protect consumers in New York State?
My experience with Remax has been unsatisfactory. The real estate agent assigned to me seemed disinterested and lacked proactive communication. There were delays and miscommunication during the process, leading to unnecessary stress. Overall, the service did not live up to the standards I expected from a reputed real estate company like Remax.
A business without no moral compass. Their adverts raise major concerns encouraging the killing of innocent Palestinian children. It's both inhumane and racist! Trust is built on the foundation of ethical behavior and treating others with respect. If they don't have this fundamental principle I wonder how they'd treat their clients.
Racist and insensitive agents such as Vlad Vilensky. Disgusting company. I can not believe i worked with remax to get my home. Definitely not using or recommending going forward.
Not a fan of MN games. My wife and I are on our fourth child, and I was looking for a place to harbor my 19 year old daughter, lol (harbor). Can't answer questions, can't meet you there. And NEED to know your agent, wow.

I recently had an extremely unpleasant experience with Remax and felt compelled to share my thoughts to caution others. I have been receiving persistent and harassing phone calls from Remax agents despite clearly informing them that they have the wrong number. This behavior is not only invasive but also completely unprofessional.
On multiple occasions, I asked the agents, whose numbers are *******638 and *******991, to stop calling me as they had the wrong person. Unfortunately, my requests fell on deaf ears, and the situation escalated to the point where I was subjected to name-calling and derogatory comments during a phone conversation.
What is particularly alarming is that my children were present and overheard the entire conversation. Such an invasion of privacy and unprofessional conduct from individuals identifying themselves as Remax agents is entirely unacceptable. I never provided my number to Remax, yet their agents continue to harass me.
This experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated with Remax. No one should have to endure such unprofessionalism and disrespect, especially from individuals representing a reputable company. The fact that Remax agents resorted to insults after being informed of the wrong number is beyond comprehension.
I want to emphasize that I would never consider utilizing Remax for any real estate needs based on this appalling experience. I am determined to share my story across social media platforms to alert others about the unprofessional conduct exhibited by Remax agents. No one should have to tolerate harassment from a real estate company or its affiliates.
In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering Remax for their real estate needs to think twice. The behavior I have experienced is a clear indication of a lack of professionalism and respect within the organization. There are many other reputable real estate companies out there, and I encourage individuals to explore alternative options to avoid the distressing experience I have had with Remax.
I was contacted by Tina holdbeck told me she had people from out of out of our country that were buying property all over I was hesitant because of recent scams your agency set up.told me they would not let me get scammed well I did the work and you tell me to collect from someone I believe is a scam artist and now remax realty won't even step.in being part of.scam.a contractor from UK thank s remax you took my guy s and I on jobs where'.no one getcl s pay
What a rude man. I have posted about selling my house in the Highlands and this dog faced pony soldier told buyers to beware because I haven't listed with a realtor. Money hungry unethical clown. LISTERS BEWARE! What a clown! I wouldn't list a dog house with him.
Greg Harmon wrote on my timeline listing:
"In all my years of buying real estate, any seller taking this position is a red flag. Buyer beware."
I could say it was please, great to work with minimal issues. It was the complete opposite to the point I felt it was on purpose. Every thing was challenged and when I ask who her legal expert was, crickets. This really even tried to get me sign documents after closing; however, I refused and told her where to go. Then I seen the reports that people of color were treated worse than their seller counter parts, that's when I realized that this could have been true in my situation in Ohio.

Very suspicious transactions from this office. I put an offer in on a house on 18th Street. Was listed for $335,000, my offer with no contingency was $34,000 OVER asking. Was told my offer was 3rd highest and solicited for more money, only to find the house closed for $309,000 2 months later? $60,000 less than my offer, very suspicious! How do sellers walk away from 60k (20% more money)? I just can't imagine, except for market manipulation by agents. I wonder if the sellers even knew. I think situations like this happen more often than we hear about! Very suspicious!
Remax is selling the home I'm living in and has been very inconsiderate of our home and family. They assured us we'd get a 48 hour notice before a viewing and after the very first viewing they didn't honor that. They were setting appointments with no notice or even asking us our schedules. They would set 3-4 appointments a week. They would walk right in without knocking knowing there was a family living here. Just very rude and inconsiderate. I can see why they have a 2 star rating.
Contacted Remax Gozo from overseas as looking for rental property.
Jolene said there was little availability due to high demand.
Agent obviously wanted to make a quick money commission from fees paid by both myself and the landlord - she took advantage!
There was much availability / choice - agent lied to scare into making quick transaction. Was all about the money, not what was in the customers best interest.
Found something much cheaper and nicer with a different agent.
Would never trust Remax again!

Lost deposit and fees paid.
Agent only interested in closing fast and making money, not honesty, efficiency, awareness or serving the buyer. House had several problems that were not addressed by agent prior buying. Very disappointed someone would even think of selling this house without seller and/or agent making repairs but downright hiding or avoiding necessary faults. Property should have been inspected properly and if so, these issues would have been caught and taken care of. Would not recommend Michele Gutting or Re/Max. Re/Max apparently approves of such behavior.

After reading all the reviews, I just realized mine is just one of them. My realtor Gin Lian Thang, I would say is incompetent. There were so much disastrous communication broke down. All his best own interest was to earn his best money skipping all our concerns of our unknowns. He just rather plays twist and turn where a simple conversation could have been resolved the the problem. He has too much rooms to improve seriously.
So thankful to this real estate agent I used her before when I purchased the house in 2003 I remember how dedicated she was. I used her again when I was ready to downsize and sell my home and she was absolutely awesome. Experience matters —had a lot of bumps in order to get the house sold and she was with me every step of the way. Very knowledgeable and supportive. Great communication skills. I would definitely use her again to buy my forever home. I recommend Mrs Jeaneth Pino.
Remax is falsely reporting important information about my home on its website. I have owned my home since 1997 but Remax is showing that it sold in 2020 which is clouding my title and causing me irreparable injury. I have reached out to them and sent tax documents and other proof that I own but they do nothing. Horrible company.

This realty company is absolutely the worse, I've dealt with section 8 that had better services, they put notices on your door if they think your late without even checking, they don't get back to you fast about maintenance. They are inconsiderate, disrespectful and not worth dealing with especially Solon offices
