Wasn't even able to sign up. And I did so correctly. I don't want to end up paying someone else's rent. Problems right off the bat to me are indicative of major issues down the road. My rent is too important to trust these clowns. They don't seem to grasp the importance of that. The reviews that are all over the internet speak for themselves. My landlord suggested them. No thank you.

We run a small boutique hotel and realized we were paying rent payment monthly for a service we were no longer using. When we started to ask about cancelling, they informed us it is 18o days notice to cancel or an outrageous fee of over $1,000. We gave our 30 day notice in writing as requested. 2 months later they are saying we never requested to cancel and we have been wasting time fighting them via email, since every phone number they gave us to call no one answers! BAD BUSINESS! WE DO NOT RECECOMMEND!

Tip for consumers:
We normally don't take time to do bad reviews, but this is so bad that others should know to avoid the time and money we have wasted.

Wasn't even able to sign up. And I did so correctly. I don't want to end up paying someone else's rent. Problems right off the bat to me are indicative of major issues down the road. Well, as with most, our apartment complex forced us to use this option to pay rent. I paid as normal, early in fact, and at least me and one other tenant were charged double. I spent a few hours on the phone with this site and was hung up on. My apartment sees only one transaction, but the bank reflects two. They can't help me, the site doesn't even answer, so it requires a bank dispute and up to 10 days to get my money back. If you're at all like me and don't have extra thousands set aside for a rainy day, this can cause some major problems. 100% don't pay from this site cause from the reviews, it seems they're consistently double the trouble!

This business is yet another division of Yapstone.
Stay away at all costs.
I filed complaints with the AG offices of Georgia, California, Arizona, the SEC, the BBB, and a few other places I can't recall at the moment.
Yesterday they finally released the rent payment they were holding for ten weeks. Their reasoning that was ublished was they could not validate that I was landlord.
Ten weeks of holding the rent and deposit.
Ten weeks of not managing to get the sent in documents to their "underwriters"
This caused real damage.
I'd not even feel secure in sharing my personal information with this company.
Avoid. Just avoid.

Tip for consumers:
Rentals.com is okay, so is the tenant screening division. AVOID the RentPay or PayRent division entirely.

I rarely go out of my way to write a review, but I would be doing my fellow Americans a disservice if I didn't warn you about the HORRIBLE experience you will have if you use Rentpayment.com. As a property manager, I literally have thousands of dollars withheld or delayed in being deposited in my account (which is supposed to happen in 24 - 48 hrs).
This happens even after they debit the tenant's bank account. So where the heck does the money sit for weeks at a time? When you contact the company to find out, this is what you'll experience -

1. They RARELY answer the phone (no lie, I've been on hold for nearly 6 hours as I type - check the photo).
2. HORRIBLE customer service - after long wait times, a non-helpful representative will place you on multiple holds and hang up on you!
3. They NEVER answer emails - you can submit a help ticket online but don't hold your breath on getting a response. I sent multiple emails 3 weeks ago. No response.
4. They will try to get you off the phone as quickly as possible by telling you someone from the "tech team" will call you back. LIE. You will not receive a call.
5. If you insist on waiting on the phone while they resolve your issue, the call will magically "disconnect"; i. E. THEY HANG UP ON YOU. Even though they have your phone number, don't expect them to call you back.

I encourage everyone who encounters these issues to launch a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, the BBB, and other Consumer Protection Advocacy Groups. Perhaps they will respond if enough of shared experiences grow traction for another Class Action suit against them.

We have used RentPayment for our business for many years with no problems until now. Several weeks ago, they made an incorrect deposit into our account (which was less than a 3rd of what it should of been). We called them twice and sat on hold for 2 hours and again for 3 hours before getting disconnected. We also left a callback number and were never called back. We sent an email telling them about our problem with documentation showing them what happened and two days later they got back that they had received it. Numerous emails later, we have heard nothing back and have still NOT received our deposit. They, of course, have charged us their fee for it. Anytime you try any kind of communication with them, there is either silence or high call volume and no one will call back. The lack of communication and disregard for their customers is UNACCEPTABLE. We are a business too and have bills to pay. We need our deposit that WE earned. We would NOT recommend using this company if you are a business owner!

I paid rent through the services and their system reported "payment reversal". They did not reverse my payment. I provided my bank statement to prove it. They now claim my landlord was paid. Landlord never received payment. They call it a glitch and they still won't resolve the issue.

I attempted to pay rent through the service, receiving confirmation that payment was received. A week later, after due date crossed, I get an email that it had been reversed. I spent half an hour on the phone to talk to somebody only to get transferred to another department. Another 20 minutes and that rep informed me she had to call another department. All of that, only to find out that it didn't go through because I entered my current address in the field "Address" instead of the address I had just moved from. Doesn't say "Billing Address", just "Address." Now I have extra fees because their system is about as user friendly as a virus. Couple with that, I have been blocked from my online account.

The absolute worst payment service. Sadly, if any property is using this service, then you should AVOID THEM AS WELL. I will never rent at any property using this broken payment "service." MRI payment is the absolute worst in support and functionality. Call or use the online support system they state is open 7am to 12am 7 days a week! That is a bold-faced LIE. Your account will regularly be de-activated and they will direct you to your property and guess what? They cant do anything about it either. You wont be able to see any charges on your account on the site or the app due to the broken functionality. This system is an absolute scam and property management that refuses to use a different system should be avoided like the plague. I asked for copies of what my charges were and it took 3 months to get anything back from the upper management system, THEY HAVE BEEN OVERCHARGING. Obviously this is an issue and the property uses the broken functionality of MRI payment as an excuse but continues to use them. There is a scam in place where both parties can benefit as few renters will go through the trouble of trying to look at their bills instead of just paying what ever charge is sent to their phone.

Again raise awareness of these scammers, be loud. Its hard enough to survive in this economy.

Their 'bank' presented a request for payment and Rentpayment said it was denied. My bank said they never got a RFP. Then Rentpayment stated the funds were on hold at my bank. Again my bank knew nothing of their requests.
Their last 'excuse' was that my bank was adjusting the balance in my account and denied payment when in actuality the overdraft protection kicked in.

Instead of following standard banking practices of submitting the RFP a 2nd time, they did not, they charged me a $45 NSF fee.

Phone agents know little and speak as much english. Customer service is not willing to help and only enforces managements directives of collecting fees. That department should be renamed, management service.
Website transactions were erased so I can no longer prove what happened.

This company is not making business with. The people do not speak proper English. The payments never gets posted and they charge you a fortune. Never again.

I used rentpayment to pay my rent for a year at one property. When I moved I got everything switched to the new property and for three months it the payments were right. Then for some reason my fourth payment went back to the property I had moved out of. Mistakes are OK, but I have opened multiple tickets and sent several emails with nothing but an automated response to say my ticket was assigned. In the meantime my rent is officially past due and I either have to pay rent a second time or risk fees and credit reporting. The site is OK although not terribly user friendly but your risk if anything goes wrong is that they have no support at all.
