“I love this website”

I love this website. Where else can you get a $25 gift certificate for a great restaurant for only $10. We recently purchased one for Aviles in St. Augustine, FL. It was a very upscale place that we normally would not be able to afford, but when you only have to pay less than half the bill it makes it easy to check out places like this. I will continue using this site for future discounted gift certificates, it is great!

“Complicated and Inconsistent”

Bought from two different restaurants. I spent more money than I would have had I not had any coupons (a $50 restaurant.com gift card cost me $90 combined at two restaurants). The restaurants do not follow the rules, say one thing on the phone then another when you arrive. Items are not included from the menu but you only find out when you get there (did I mention that I called the restaurants before buying the coupons?). One restaurant charged me a $5.00 tip right on the bill - that was Ali Baba on Forest Avenue in Staten Island, NY. Total rip-off. Don't even bother, it is more work figuring out what each restaurants rules are. Use Groupon.

Tip for consumers:
Don't bother with this coupon site - the restrictions are so individual and inconsistent that it is impossible to work this out to your benefit (in my limited experience but it was two for two).

We went for function dinner to the Conrad Restaurant in Sudbury. The food and service was below average. We're not coming back.

I don't recommend restaurants.com period! Did you know that the "vouchers" you pay for aren't worth the paper you print them on? The merchant never see's one dime of your money, restaurants.com keeps it. They basically screw small merchants out of revenue by keeping the money under the guise of "advertising" which is also a falsehood. They don't actually advertise or promote these merchants.
Just a bunch of greedy ba$tards!

Green chile mac and cheese was so good of Restaurant.com. Service was great and very accommodating at lunch with kids. Can't speak to how things would be at dinner. I came across this place by chance and so glad I walked in. I love this website Restaurants.com. My best advice, If you are looking for a gift, stay away from restaurants. Com and just give them a gift certificate to their favorite place to eat. And If you are looking for a bargain yourself, don't waist your time which is worth something and try and save your money else where.

When I looked into ordering the deal ($40 for $300) I fould two restaurants in my area so decided to give it a try. Once I purchased the deal, both restaurants were no longer on the list and others within 15 miles were either out of stock or not someplace I would care to eat at. When I brought this to the attention of Restaurants.com they would not reimburse my money. Very disappointed and feel cheated out of my money. Would not recommend!

Big problem is there is no one to talk to at Restaurant.com
The restaurant we went to said they never had anything to do with Restaurant.com and they never gave permission and wouldn't give discount.

I have used many of the coupons and they were all accepted with no problems and I got exactly what I expected. They are a GREAT deal but you have to understand the restrictions for each coupon and decide if it works for you. I am not interested in going to the vast majority of their restaurants but there are a few we like and a very small number that we like a lot. For those we love the savings are big and it works great. I have never used the "specials", a lot of which are combo theater / dinner deals, because they don't work the same way as the regular coupons. They are much more restricted in where you go and what you get and other reviews confirm they apparently misleading and disappointing.

BIG JOKE! Do not waist your time. And it is my suggestion that you DO NOT purchase this as a gift to someone. Restaurants on the list of choices are not always restaurants that accept the coupon. I called one restaurant to make sure that they would accept the coupon and they said no. Prior to my call, they have already had customers come in with the coupons and had to turn them down and the owner called restaurant.com to have his business taken off of the list and restaurant.com has yet to remove them. Also after a year of trying to find a place to use this coupon, I find that many good places to eat ( that would make it even worth it) are no longer on the list and good restaurant choices are very far, few and between. This certificate was a gift to me, so I am not at a lossmoney wise but have spent a great deal of my time ( which is valuable) trying to find a restaurant that would take the coupon or that would take it during the time frame that I could go. And I am giving up, as this certificate is about to hit the trash can! I most certainly will not waist any more of my time on such a scam. I would rather go where I want and pay $100 rather than waist my efforts on some restaurant that I could care less for just because I have this coupon and that is all there is to choose from on the list... and with that said, remember, just because they are on the list does not mean they will accept the coupon. My best advice, If you are looking for a gift, stay away from restaurants. Com and just give them a gift certificate to their favorite place to eat. And If you are looking for a bargain yourself, don't waist your time( which is worth something) and try and save your money else where.

I bought 4- $25.00 coupons for a restaurant in Whittier, CA called "La Pescadora" which means The Fisherwoman in spanish. We bought them because we wanted to eat Seafood. However, when we went to the restaurant to eat we were told that the coupons do not cover Seafood, which is about 90% of their menu. Imagine buying coupons to a steak house only to find out that the coupons do not cover steaks?

OMG! My current favorite site! Get this:

I have become slightly addicted to using web coupons. If you go to the "Restautants.com" link you can pick out certificates for about 210 restaurants (I limited my search to within 15 miles of my house... so if you live in Manhattan... well... I can hardly imagine the possibilities!) So for a $25 coupon it costs $10 and for a $50 coupon it costs $20…etc, etc. I bought 2 coupons: one for $50 to one of my favorite restaurants: Mona's. And a $25 certificate to a pub that looked good on both City~Search and Yelp. It's super easy to cross reference. So I was totally prepared to spend $30 for $75 worth of food. Most coupons have some type of restrictions like "we will add 18% gratuity to your bill before the coupon is factored in" or "can't be used for Happy Hour" or "only one coupon per table" or "dine in only" or "must be used within one year"… totally reasonable things like that.

So as I was checking out I saw a little box that said "do you have a promo code?". So I googled the words "restaurant.com promotions" and found a code (the word MOM) and put it into the little box. I ENDED UP PAYING $9 FOR $75 WORTH OF FOOD!

I am SO blown away! So I am sending this out so that you, too can have this amazing experience. David and I have stopped eating out quite a bit because it's so expensive. But now we get to go to 2 great restaurants! YAY! Date night! This particular code ends tomorrow, but they had tons of different codes… so even if that one expires, you will still be able to find more. It looks like they have them in all major cities.

News like this is just too good to keep to one's self. So I am sharing it all with you!

Bon Appitit! (in Julia Child's voice, please!) And Bon everything else :)
