“Treasures of Tuscany tours”

We have just returned from the Treasures of Tour (booked throught Shearings) But every driver and coach was Ridleys, from day one of the trip I have nothing but good to say about all of the drivers. Luke was our 1st driver who took us from Donington services through to Saint Augustine in France to meet our main Tour drivers and the other return he was friendly and professional. Then we had our main tour guys Vlad and Paul, they were amazing, funny, polite, friendly just 100%. They made the holiday so brilliantly. 2 other drivers who we didn't have much time with but again just so professional was from stop 24 to Donnington services was Andy and Jack. All I can say is Ridleys have some of the most amazing drivers. 100%

“School bus pass - too expensive and inflexible.”

I expect these days school bus passes to be expensive but with Ridleys charging £850 for three terms of travel per child. How can anyone afford this but the wealthy? If you have two children then £1700 which you have to pay six months in advance to secure the places. And they refuse to offer termly or monthly payments because it does not work for their business model. Captive market and with no other way of getting children to school other than us all getting in our cars this does wonders for the environment.

Witnessed a lady coach driver in Stratford today shouting foul and abusive language from her window at anoter driver!
Very poor if bus was empty but it had school children on board!
Not a good advertisement for you company.
Hope the children on board are smart enough not to model this behaviour.

We have recently returned from the above tour on one of your coaches, which proved to be incredibly uncomfortable. The seats were so close together our knees touched those in front of us, also it was impossible to stretch out your legs by putting your feet under the seats in front. Also when the passengers in front reclined their seats the feeling of claustrophobia increased terribly. The whole journey was unbearable and my wife speculated that the coach was only fit for use on a day trip not a 19 hour trip from Calais to Lake Garda. Having now googled your company it would appear school trips are the mainstay of your business, this is also borne out by one of the drivers telling me that after out trip he would be doing school trips for a few days & then another Shearings tour. The seats were not only uncomfortable & cramped, but the seat belts did not operate smoothly, meaning we were nearly strangled. The contribution your coach made to our Shearings tour only made the whole experience the worst holiday we have ever been on.! I have already been intouch with Shearings!

Ridley Bus service to Alcester Grammer school, think twice and consider your options like the Green Bus and others before sending your child on this service. I paid for the bus pass for the year upfront and there is no option for a refund which is stated in their T&Cs. My daughter used the bus service for one day and decided not to go to the Grammer school.
I have a spoke to Ridely's coach service on 10. 9. 21 and explained the situation and requested that they consider a credit note which could be used by the sibling next year. I had requested the director to call me back and i did email them on 13. 9. 21 but no response to the call or email. I have called on the 15. 9. 21 and the General Manager said they would not give a credit note and compared themselves to a travel / holiday package and said you would not get any money back if you were not happy with your holiday package if you returned back early.
I would rate this extremely poor in the way the general manager handled this.

Tip for consumers:
there are alternatives please check with the council and schools for alternatives

A number of dreadful driving incidents in our village by these people. Waste of time complaining because oddly it's always your fault - like having a bus come head on down the wrong side of the road at you. We should no better - when they're on the road get off the road

So far into France,wish drivers had opened up as much as the heavens had with a l mighty thunderstorm,not saying they were responsible for the weather but could have used the same "gusto" as the storm. To give out info on our forthcoming Lake Garda holiday and what the coach tour included!
