Right at Home

My elderly father could no longer care for himself. However, he was adamant about NEVER going to a nursing home. So after hospitalization, the only option was to place him in an assisted living facility, but that was fraught with problems due to the degree of care he required. Someone recommended Right At Home and Kevin Armes came to the rescue! His staff have been exemplary in around the clock for my father.

Don't bother working here or receive services from here! They treat you like crap. I really have no words. In 12 yrs this is the worse place ever!

Paid $30/hr for sub par help. One person came in, introduced herself, then sat at my kitchen table for 20 minutes eating her lunch. When she finished I informed her I paid for 4 hrs. And the time started now. She objected and I had to call the office. She did not finish a 4 hr. Shift and I did not pay for it. I terminated RAH services over a month ago and still waiting for my deposit back of almost $1000. Tony the owner told me the person who handles this has been on vacation. Bet they have someone that handles billing working during this time. Is my check in the mail Tony?

I have been working threw right at home taking care of my Family members threw the company, The pay is great The hours ate great... I've worked for right at home for about 2 in half years almost. I would recommend Right at home for your loved ones if you want the best to care for your loved one... The employees are nice and understanding and they work with you... Just all around the best company I've ever worked for...

If your going to work as a CNA get it together and work for yourself instead of making pennies for yourself & working hard bring in money for an agency who work's you long hours just to pay you short I learned years ago you can make your own working for yourself... CNA or not get out and get your own clients you can do it...

These people have been extremely accommodating. Yes it is not cheap but what price do I put on my mother's care? They have listened to me cry and rant and always were caring and understanding. From day one they understood the situation and were on top of it. All because someone was there, I got a break and sleep. They are wonderful.

Hiring anyone that will work for $11. Per hour regardless of qualifications. They have now hired an LPN to train. They have raised their rate to the customer by $4. Per hour more in 1 year, yet no trickling down to the worker.

The Townsville Right at Home service was provided to us through Carer Gateway - it was meant to be a means of support. Right at Home Townsville made this an incredibly difficult and extremely stressful experience.
The lack of communication, lack of transparency, lack of honesty (eg - lying about referral receipt, hanging up intentionally when I called to ask about resumption of services) the gross over charging for cleaning services - the entire experience has been terrible and despite the people who came to our house being lovely, I would not recommend Right at Home Townsville.

I worked with this company and was aloud at a choice with clients I was emloyee of the month a few times as well as employee of year but they don't pay you properly... so I learned to work clients on my own.

Right at Home is one of those big chains of senior home care companies. They are not bad, but they are really big and their prices are not that cheap. I was able to find a home caregiver much more cheaply on craigslist. I don't know if I got lucky or what, but the person I found on Craigslist wasn't any worse than the Right at Home people.

Nasja was assigned to my home to help with the care of my 96 year old dad. I have been so impressed with her that I wanted to take the time to write a review. From the start she listened patiently to my concerns and willingly jumped in to care for my dad as directed. I have such piece of mind while running errands and doing other things while she is with my dad. Additionally, she is sweet, kind and compassionate. You can tell that what she does is truly from her heart. I am so grateful to have such a caring individual work so wonderfully with my family!

I was supposed to get house cleaning, the First Gal to show up didn't even know how to sweep a floor, after doing the work myself for an hour, so she could learn how. I told her I didn't need her anymore and to go.
Two of the supervisors came out to clean and even they didn't have a clue how to clean so only kept them for a short time and told them to go, finally they sent a girl out that was good and I asked for her to always come, but the next time another girl showed up, also good, so I told them I was tired of always getting a new person without any notice they just showed up, never knew who to expect so I told them ok if you can't send one of those two, don't send anyone! She said the one is no longer with us! But she showed up the next day? I said to her, you know they told me you were no longer with them, she said no, I' ve always been there, so they also lie to you. That was the end! Told them they were done. Hired my own. Much better, they get to keep all the money without someone taking half of it and working to cheap! Those 2 good ones need to work for themselves and quit supporting such a company.

Susan is a pleasure to work with and my dad has been very comfortable with the ladies that Susan has sent to him.

Caregivers were late, rude, and not well trained to care for my mother with Alzheimer's. Would never recommend this company. Stay away!

I found a caregiver here that was pretty good. I'd use them again.

The Vancouver office of Right at Home provided my mom with very prompt, skilled care aides on short notice. Highly recommend this company.
