R K Bridal is a perfect place for buy your wedding gown. I have been there twice and has a good experience and they pretty reasonable prices for beautiful wedding dresses.

This place is extremely rude and unhelpful. Their sales representative sold me and others in a bridal party dresses that cost us more than the dress to get fixed. When we mentioned that it couldn't be possible for multiple women in a group "measured incorrectly" we were told we could have found a better tailor.

Actual response I received from the store after calling, emailing, and even dming the store without any response for days. Very unprofessional and avoid at all costs - there are much better places in NYC.

In review of your e-mail. The responsibility of the size ordered is the person ordering the dress. I do not recall giving information to order a size 14. I would have said the look at the size chart while on the phone and match your measurements to the size chart. In question, do you look at the size chart of the manufacturer? When ordering a dress, the size chart provided is in inches to help get the closest and accurate size.

As for alterations, the tailor can ask any price. You may have considered looking for a different tailor. If you were able to come to the store or even asked your local tailor to measure you, we would have been able to get proper measurement to have avoided this Issue.

I know this is not the exact answer, we cannot be held responsible for this issue.

I WISH I could give them less than one star. I bought my dress in 2019, and it came in in less than a week which was great. I needed alterations, which RK promised to do. The alterations I needed were VERY minimal because I did NOT take RK's advice of ordering a dress 5 sizes bigger than what I am, which is advice they give to brides because they definitely want to force alterations on them. Fast forward to the pandemic and RK gave me nonsense reasons as to why they couldn't alter my dress and literally kicked me to the curb, even after I told them my wedding was postponed to almost a year and a half later. I guess it's easy for a company to treat you badly AFTER they get your money. On top of that, when I tried on my dress one last time before picking it up, for some odd reason the employees left a needle in my dress and it scratched open my whole arm and caused me to bleed. Why was the needle there to begin with if they denied giving me alterations? RK didn't care about this situation at all, and I actually still have a scar because of it. RK provided me with a list of "trustworthy tailors." I went to a tailor RECOMMENDED BY THEM and the tailor RUINED my dress. I called RK about this and they tried to tell me they never recommended the tailor when they ABSOLUTELY did. RK LOVES to put the blame on everyone but themselves. Not to mention almost everyone who works at RK is either stuck up, rude, or just doesn't care, which is MORE than evident in the responses they have given to other brides who have left reviews here. I have been telling everyone NOT to shop here because it is clear they don't care about their brides. Don't even get me started on the ignorant emails they sent to already stressed brides during the height of the pandemic which had the opening of "did your wedding change?" when they could have opened it with "I hope your families are safe and well." RK does NOT care about their clients and only cares about the money they bring in. Go ANYWHERE else and avoid this place at all costs. Anyone I speak to who bought a dress here mentions how useless, rude, and terrible everyone magically becomes once a client purchases a dress. Absolutely disgusted with this whole company and I REGRET the day I bought a dress here.
