I have been almost exclusively shopping RockAuto for vehicle parts for the last 5 years. My experience has been great! I constantly find a good choice of quality name brands to choose from and great low prices compared to anyone locally. I always get what I orderd and the few times I have needed to return parts, their return service is streamlined and simple to follow just keep original box parts came in. Really, customer needs to know what they are looking for when they buy. RockAuto isn't going to hold your hand but if you know what you want, you can find it.

I ordered a front end kit to include upper control arm, both tie rod ends, sway bar links, and lower ball joint. After taking everything off and finding the inner tie rod end is the wrong size I had to go locally for new ones. So now there is no way to just return them. I have to return it all. I also have to pay for any return and it's their screw up. No way to contact them so looks like I will have to just loose $120 for the other inners.Never again.

Their site layout may be confusing to someone who doesn't know vehicles and vehicle parts; however, if you know what you are looking for, you can find it pretty quickly. I have been thoroughly pleased with this business over the last 5 years and I make orders with them frequently. I am very surprised they have such a low star rating on here. That is not an accurate reflection of my continual experience with them.

Ordered a parts and paid $14 extra for next day shipping. Label was printed on a Monday morning. Item wasn't delivered until 3 days later. Contacted Rocakautos horrible customer service and they said they don't guarantee delivery. I said I know that but UPS does. UPS said when I contacted them that they can provide a refund but I must have rockauto file the claim since they paid UPS for shipping. Now Rockauto won't respond to any of my emails. They are horrible and will scam you out of your money on shipping.

Received unusable parts because of Inaccurate item descriptions. Costing us extra time and shipping cost. Support person "Ronald" unwilling to verify inaccuracies and find what parts actually do fit.
We can't trust future orders because of the possible hassle involved. They tout "in order to keep costs low" as a reason for limited support. Even so, they need to learn there is a minimum level of support required for customers. A level they haven't achieved. Any customer's savings is sometimes lost, with their lack of support.
No matter how many thousands of dollars you spend at rockauto, they don't care. When they send the wrong part, you either have to keep it or pay the return shipping to get a refund. And they never offer free shipping. I am done with this dump. They have no customer service to contact so when THEY screw up YOUR order, YOU are burnt! I will never shop with them again. Learn from my mistake and go anywhere else

I have spent thousands of dollars at rockauto over the last 2 years and recently they have screwed up 3 of my orders and made me wait for them to slowly ship me the part I originally ordered. Except thus time, they sent me a completely different part than I ordered that doesn't even fit on the other part I ordered from them like it was supposed to. And I am the one who is screwed out of my money and rockauto come to find out, doesn't have a customer service department to unscrew you

I Ordered parts and paid for shipping. They gave me a date it didn't arrive then I received a email saying it will come a week later! Totally unacceptable! Now mechanic is charging me storage fee because the car is sitting waiting on the parts to come! Rock auto has no customer service so you basically screwed it you have any real issues. Never again! I rather pay store price and get quality parts and if I have any issues I can take it right back and or at least have someone to talk too about my issue

Oil filters arrived with open gasket packaging. Filters and boxes had oily fingerprints on them. Expensive NGK platinum spark plugs came in open boxes with oily fingerprints as well. For convenience, Rockauto has no number to call and no one to answer emails. I purchase parts online regularly, (AudionlineParts, PartsGeek, eBay.) RockAuto is the worse. PERIOD!
I find what I need then google part number, NO one has EVER been cheaper.
Purchased, coils,all suspension the components, body panels, you name it, I have Never bought the CHEAPEST part they have. Buying The cheapest part made for a repair is never a good idea. But name brand parts, I have had ZERO issues. Love Rockauto,

Never purchase the cheapest part made for your car. it won't work out well. Go for at least middle price. once you have part number google it an you can see other prices and reviews. I bought a case of 12 oil filters for $42.00, that cost $9.00 EACH at wally world.

Ok, the negative reviews got to be by either auto parts stores or people buying the least $ parts. I've only had one return I ordered more than i needed, and the credit to my account, "my choice" was no issue 6 months later when I ordered again. I have never bought the least $ parts. When I find what I want i look it up at local parts stores, and ALWAYS have bought at rockauto. Example, this week i bought 6 iridium NGK 6441 they were $6.00 each at rock auto $12.00 each at Autozone, O'reilly, and advance auto parts. I bought 6 NGK coils at $19.00 each, they cost $49.00 EACH at the parts stores. I have ordered for about 15 years, I have recommended to the construction crews I work with, and no one has EVER said anything bad.

First time and last time dealing with RockAuto parts. I had a day or two of flexibility for delivery but never received it till the next week. When setting up a return I had to send each part back to separate warehouses which was going to cost 50% of what I paid for the parts initially. It wasn't my problem came a week late now I have to eat it. You can be sure that everyone I know will be deterred from using RockAuto!
Ordered a radiator for my truck with two year warranty. Had it four months it started leaking at the seams. Which is no fault of my own. But they want me to pay for shipping to get a new one on a part that was defective by none of my doing. Bad return policy. Don't think I will be ordering anything else here.
I was a long time customer but that ended today. You pick your delivery method and then no tracking information for a week. Took a week longer then the already one week shipping time. That extremely poor customer service especially when you can buy from Amazon and Ebay with free shipping in most cases. They act like they don't care. My money will be spent elsewhere.

Be careful. Website is not specific and no phone number for help. Ordered a part for my truck. Received it ok and part was sealed in brown paper, glued and sealed. Factory part. Of coarse you have to open it to check the part. Paper tore because it was glued. Of it did not fit my truck. Wrapped up in same paper package and returned for a refund. They said it was damaged and installed. It NEVER left my living room. They said no refund. Never purchase here again.
I ordered a pair of front struts, they sent me 2 rights, one of them not even for the right car.
Then theres NO CUSTOMER SERVICE when you have a problem, and when you return the items due to their professional negligence, they fail to refund the tax which is illegal.
I'm going to report them to the FTC, CFPB, and DA, but I thought you all should know about their fraudulent return process.

I ordered a OEM radiator mopar from rock auto. The radiator they sent me from a dealership they use in Wis. Sent me the wrong part. Rock auto even after telling them the part was wrong had the nerve to charge me return shipping. This rock auto will never get my business again.They have no real customer support who you can call just email. Who ever reads this review do yourself a favor and get your parts from some where else.

Bought parts for my truck, I recieved the wrong parts. I returned them quickly. I was then notified that they recieved the package but it was empty. They even sent pictures, of the box, there was another box inside (manufacturers box) which is the original package for the parts, you can clearly see the shadow. I have been trying for months to receive a refund. They absolutely refuse to do so. I am disputing the charges.

In ordering a part from this company the part sent was wrong. In contacting the company they knew the part was incorrect before they sent it. In returning the part the system for Rock Auto would not allow me to print a return shipping label. I had to return on my own with UPS costing me over $15.00. This was confirmed via phone call they made to me to return all of my funds in full for my shipping costs back to them. Today I get an email they will only return half the funds? This is lousy customer service. Tell your customer one thing then do something else that benefits the company and not the customer.
Ordered and paid for parts. Tracking showed label printed, on 23 miles from my home. Package shows in USPS and enroute. 3 days now no tracking update no way to cancel order and just buy items locally. It's Friday and won't hear from rockauto or usps until next week. I'm done with rockauto. You can not contact them

Purchased front breaks for my civic. They sent the right model number but wrong part was in the box. Tried to contact rock auto there customer support is a nightmare/non-existent.
Ordered break pads and routers. When they arrived it only had one router... That was my fault I guess. So I needed to purchase another one. Which I did before starting the job on my car... Started the job and they. Don't fit... Partly my fault for not confirming the right parts were in the right box... but man I'm not impressed. Will be buying local from now on... Bought a ton of parts off these dummies till they got me for $3400 dollars worth of parts the engine tech lifters were horribly machined and cause damage wrecking the block and beaeings. So i tried dealing online and nothing after about 20 emails i said $#*! u rock auto and called my credit card company and opened a fraud case had my money back in 2 hours. Rock Auto USED to be a great place for auto parts but their customer service has deteriorated this past year and I will now shop elsewhere! Don't be mislead by their "in stock" inventory - and don't be misled by their shipping options and the expected delivery date that you have paid for! It is all "smoke and mirrors" and then when your order fails to arrive in the advertised time-frame, they have the gall to charge you for the return! NEVER AGAIN!
Ordered rotors from here and they were cut wrong. Of course they don't help. They want you to send back the purchase, which I was willing to do after I got new ones because how tf am I supposed to drive with no rotors? My car is my work! Horrible way to deal with customers

I ordered some springs and struts from rockauto I have Dodge Durango, 5.7 hemi but they sent springs and struts for 3.6 after I paid a shop to $250 my truck was sitting low in the front the shop said I think they sent u the wrong parts … NO one answers the phone you only could contact them by email 3 weeks later the struts start rattling $340 +250 money just wasted…. I will never shop from rockauto again. I also have other stuff I purchased a week after I bought my springs … like lower control arms
