“Hard to find air filter”

Needed air filter for my 2007 Pontiac Solstice at a price I could afford discount parts stores wanted $45.00 dealer wants $40.to $50. At Rock Auto I got 2 For less than $20.00 ordering was easy delivery was fast I Am a very happy woman this is my 3 parts order I wish I had called customer service to find filters I would not have got 2 years with a new no So If You Don't See It Call and Ask

I will never use them again. It's always a problem and there is NO ONE to help you. It's all digital. When you get a defective or broken part... return shipping is on you. Then it's weeks before they send you a replacement. Sometimes they will charge you for the same part twice and say it's because you didn't send it in the original packaging or they determined it was my fault or whatever bullsticky excuse they use to screw me over. I'm done with them forever! For a few extra dollars, Amazon and eBay are the way to go.

I will never use them again. It's always a problem and there is NO ONE to help you. It's all digital. When you get a defective or broken part... return shipping is on you. Then it's weeks before they send you a replacement. Sometimes they will charge you for the same part twice and say it's because you didn't send it in the original packaging or they determined it was my fault or whatever bullsticky excuse they use to screw me over. I'm done with them forever! For a few extra dollars, Amazon and eBay are the way to go.

If they send you the wrong part you won't be able to call anyone to correct the part. The process of reporting it is unreliable. Then you're paying the return shipping on their mistake. Forget about being able to talk to someone to ensure the part is proper for a second purchase. They have a reputation of shipping faulty or incorrect parts from what i discovered in the following days of my incident.

I bought an AC Condenser from Rock Auto. I had it installed at a dealer. It also cools transmission fluid,which their CSR denied,but I have a factory drawing that proves I am right. About a day after I had it installed,it leaked out transmission fluid and my transmission (40,000 miles) was ruined. They are dishonest and irresponsible. I am at loss of over $4000 thanks to Rock Auto.

They are a horrible group to do business with

Ordered a water pump for an 07 F150, it arrived in a destroyed box with zero packing. I inspected and installed only to have it make lots of noise due to a bad bearing. Prob damaged in shipping or just plain poor quality. It's a Gates brand, but clearly stamped made in China. So I did a warranty return/replace and got another... you guessed it, same crap! Going for an OE pump at this point. I will NEVER EVER use Rock Auto again and have spread the word with my auto repair community to stay far away! Returns are a pain, zero customer service, you can't even get a human on the phone... there are none!

Ordered a set of windshield cowl panels for a customers F-150 that had been damaged by hail. Rock Auto sent the wrong set. The part number on each was correct on the box but inside the boxes was a set of cowl panels for a different model of truck. They refused to accept them as returns because I wrote the correct part numbers on the boxes and then charged me $29.95 to ship them back or they will throw them away after 5 business day. Absolute B. S.

Tip for consumers:
Stay Away! Order from your local dealer instead. At least they offer customer service.

Ok I wanna first off saying over the past 3 years I guarantee me and my family has done 40,000 worth of business "atleast "and some times it was are fault order wrong part,sometimes theres!whatever I bought a radiator and a turn signal, I believe it came out to 265 with shipping, I get the radiator, " cool" but never get the 89.00 turn signal, probably 105 with shipping, we exchange texts he said go to your local post office I said well everything always gets shipped to my house but whatever, I went to 3 of the closet post offices around and nothing! I reply and tell him, he says NO REFUND!"I GOT SCREENSHOTS,cameras all over my house,my mechanic is so busy I have him get it. I was just so mind blown all the money me and my family spent with this company, he doesn't issue 100 refund for his mistakes, I get the 3 foot by 3 foot radiator, but not the the turn signal, the size of a watch.was really mind blown they did this.maybe you should get customer service ******* was order number,I have receipt for everything and screen shots all for $100 dollars. I was like wow man.

Ordered 4 parts returned boxes unopened. Paid for shipping labels to return parts. They say they didn't receive all parts. Refunded 140 instead of 250. I'd say it's a problem. Either they didn't ship everything or the employees got a bonus. You pick.

I purchased a throttle body from them and it's sat in my garage for at least a month because I was on the road. I was finally able to install it and found it was defective and now RockAuto says because it's beyond 30 days they will not refund my money. They have lost a customer

FX continues to deliver parts making theft easy to accomplish by not following directions stated in my FX account. Rock has great parts but if they aren't received, it's not worth ordering from Rock.

Tip for consumers:
The Fed Ex driver did not follow specific directions and left my package exposed for everyone driving on the hwy to see instead of placing on the porch where my family is always home to receive.

Bought a alternator for 2007 equinox when I got it the box was damaged and were u plug adapter to it the whole plastic part was broken tried to return it for damaged product couldn't get ahold of nobody so went ahead put it on it lasted mybe a yr went out cheap prices and cheap $#*! parts a 6yr old could probably do a better job than the person getting the parts for people I wouldn't recommend anyone ordering from here

I purchased 2 DURAGO BR******* front rotors for my 2010 Equinox in July. Finally put them on along with new pads in September. Almost from day 1 the brakes would chatter and shake the steering wheel. Brought the car to my regular mechanic and he told me that they were warped and out of round. Trying to get a return from these people is like trying to enter fort Knox washout permission... impossible! Unless someone reads this and try's to make me happy I will never have anything good to say bout this company. I have the slips and when I tried to enter the order number it said it could not be found. There is no substitute for talking with a real person.

I order a few different part for my car when I receive the package I was one piece of parts from my order and when I contact rockauto customer service nobody can help me with the issue. I keep sending them emails but nobody reply. I will just have to buy the part somewhere else now.

Wrong Part, twice. Part sent completely different from description. Now have to wait for a refund, maybe.
Do yourself a favor, shop elsewhere, a great price for the wrong Part is not a good deal.

I purchased a set of shock absorbers for my Nissan Maxima and when Rock Auto shipped them they were so poorly packaged they slid around and ripped out both the inner and outer boxes to the extent that some of the small parts must have fallen out of the box during shipping (or they were never shipped from the beginning). I called customer service and was told to ship it back in the original packaging at my expense to get a refund. I disputed why I should pay for the shipping since it was not my fault that their warehouse/shipping team did such a poor job in packing. But even after I returned the items with the original boxes taped up and additional packing material to keep it safe for the return trip, they still refused to reimburse my shipping costs.
So beware of using Rock Auto especially if you want to order larger, heavy parts because you may be the one paying for their chinzy packing jobs.

Tip for consumers:
Don't order heavy parts that causes the poor packaging to fall apart.

My package went missing for a few days and I tried several times through multiple venues to let the company know what was going on. When I was finally able to reach someone I got an oh well get over it response. They claim that they don't offer a customer service department to keep prices so low, but really there is no one around to help customers? I have tried to contact them through the BBB as well and pretty much got the same response "OH WELL you had to find another company to purchase brakes from and NO we will not refund your money and accept the return"

Reach out to Rock Auto, no phone number online only customer service.
I explain, not recieved, not my house in the delivery confirmation pic FedEx sent.
FedEx wouldn't even talk to me about it and directed me to deal with Rock Auto.

Online system tells me to check with neighbors and canvass my neighborhood. What a load of BS!
Then it says I must wait another 7 days to open a claim " in case it shows up"!
Today after waiting 7 days I go back and initiate claim, system has the gall to ask if I want a replacement shipped, store credit or a refund.
Clearly I want a refund as I already had to get a more expensive local starter as I needed my car for Xmas.
Now I have to wait up to 3 business days for a refund and it's Friday the 29th.
I realize that FedEx messed up initially but Rock Auto making me wait 7 more days to even address the issue and then up to 3 bussiness days for a refund is terrible don't care customer service.

Ordered the correct fuel pump for my Infinity g35x however after removing the original I found the fuel lines would not fit. Rockauto would not refund me for the shipping. Was not my fault and it would seen I shouldn't have to pay half the return shipping!

I bought a set of rotors for my sons car that their catalog showed would fit his car. When they arrived I knew right away they where way to big so I went back online to double check and confirm I didn't make a mistake. I contacted rockauto for a return as this was their mistake. They took no responsibility and made me pay return shipping cost as well. NEVER again will I order from rockauto. I hope this review helps even one person. Rock auto I hope that 15.00 was well worth losing myself and family & friends business.

I have ordered parts several times using their criteria and have gotten the wrong parts all but once. I will never use them again and I don't recommend them for anyone! Stay away from this company!

When you order from them, for God's sake, don't make a mistake, I ordered the other day and made a mistake, and tried Immediately to cancel my order and to start over, but they won't let you, some of the items were canceled, witch made no sense. And because of this I was Hit with outrageous shipping charges," witch are high anyway" and now I have to pay a hell of a lot more... I tried to get them to help me out. And they said there was nothing they could do, Because I did not request in Time? What the hell, they canceled some, but not all? Just be careful if you order here, and make sure you have your $iht togather. Because they Do want your money.!

I have a 2007 Ford Explorer and thought it was time to replace the starter since my wife is disabled and I did want to take the chance of getting stuck somewhere. On 6/16/19 I purchased a new Motorcraft starter from Rock auto. Several months later we were 106 miles away from home and the starter failed too start. I had to pay for a tow new starter and the core otherwise we were stuck. Upon getting home I emailed the Rock NON customer service and were emailed to send it back, partially at my own expense, for a replacement. If I had not bought a new starter I would still be stuck but apparently Rock auto NON customer service could care less.On 2/28/20 I received an email from Rock auto NON customer service the starter had been delivered. I do not know where it was delivered to but not to me.So if I had relied on Rock auto non customer service my wife and myself would still be stuck 106 miles from home. I had also purchased a. Motorcraft front hub assembly on 1/20/20 and had it installed on the same date as the breakdown. The mechanic called and said after driving two tenths of a mile the bearing is no good as it is very loose. I had to now pay for the mechanic to purchase another hub assembly, the labor and the return of the defective part. At this point I am out $750 due to Rock auto apparently buying parts that are seconds. I guess that is how they sell lower than stores. Rock auto should use some of their TV advertising to create some sort of useful customer service. BEWARE OF APPARENTLY SECONDS BEING SOLD BY ROCK AUTO AND THE COMPLETE LACK OF ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I called the number on the web and the message stated "WE do not provide provide any phone customer service". I would give no stars but that was not an option
