I like Rolex watches, but not the vibe on this forum. The mods are very heavy handed (no, I'm not banned), they delete threads way too often, and generally it's probably my least favorite forum I've frequented on topics including beer, cigars, guns, and watches of course. Ohm and the "no gun" rule is lame. Anyway, I much prefer Omega Forums for watches.

Members have collective intellect of a gnat. Moderators: there's some old guy (mod) who announces his imminent demise, sucks up the condolences then returns. They salivate over "incomings" - how dull it is to see a cheer squad for another mass produced Submariner. Still worse, they think it's smart to snap photos of their watches and damn steering wheels while driving at speed on the highway. Mods seem to have no problem with this. See sociopaths in pics below who think that abandoning the task of driving for a photo shoot is smart - a few thousand bucks on a watch clearly doesn't equate to brains or class.

Can't talk to moderators. Lol-x is just the worst and I'd hate to know him/her in real life. Everything is you being argumentative. Feedback is not wanted. The incoming posts become sickening quite quickly. If you say you don't like someone's watch they'll start to gang up on you. Can't have an opinion on this online forum so what is the point of it?

If you aren't a millionaire show off, don't have $500k in unused camera gear or a German car you aren't welcome. Owned by Aussies may explain their condescending attitude. Anti gun and anti-American. They laud such brilliant threads as whether it is better to step on a lego or in goose crap. Call out the childish nonsense and get banned. I've been banned 3 times and each time it's more of the same vacuous "Congrats" posts. There is virtually no Rolex or any other watch conversation. The forum is a colossal waste of time. The only time I'm glad I'm gone is once a day, every day, all day long. Love, Rodentman

Just another bad online forum with faceless moderators who powertrip over anything and everything and hand out instant bans without warning to good standing members for very small things that aren't even transgressions.

If you take an online interaction like that where you got banned for something benign, and try and picture how that same interaction would have gone in real life if you were sitting at the bar next to the mod, made your benign comment, and they told you you're insta-banned, put a hand to your face and walked away not willing to discuss it, you will very quickly realize how comically asinine and detached from reality they act online compared to how the real world works.

With some of the benign stuff they ban people for, there's no possible way these people go outside into the real world at any point in time, ever. The real world outside doesn't work the way they determine the online world to work, so just ignore this place. It also runs on comically bad, archaic and most importantly, outdated and insecure forum software that literally looks like it's straight out of 1994.

Remember, it's a business, and without members, it dies. Stay away.

I tried to like this forum and learn about Rolex watches. Some rare posts are informative, but the majority are nothing but boring "incoming", "I got the call", "my AD ignores me", "I have spent $$$$$ on other watches and jewelry and still can't get a Rolex. Oh woe is me", "which one should I buy?", "I have been on a waitlist for 2 years and still can't get a Rolex boo hoo", "I stick to my principles so will NEVER pay over MSRP but gladly spend $$$$ of dollars more than it would cost to buy from gray dealers", "I will never buy from gray scum". Although the forum is based in Australia (from what I heard), most posters are from the USA/NA/UK and have the same mentality. Many members haven't got a clue about what the situation is with Rolex when it comes to buying, selling, or obtaining Rolex watches in the rest of the world. Nothing but the USA, and occasional UK opinions, matter to the majority of posters. The "same ole, same ole" repetitive, boring, whining, nonesense, uniformative threads drove me away.

Forum is full of self absorbed men beating their chests as if owning a watch makes you a rainmaker. Too many arrogant idiots fluffing their egos. Moderators are rude douchebags. Very little actual knowledge and quite a bit of old wives tale BS.

God help you if you are a woman and want to interact with knowledgeable watch lovers. The lockeroom trash talk and unbridled male ego prevents any reasonable discussion.

Avoid this site if you want to be respected and talk watches. The moderators wont protect you. They like it screwed up.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND BEWARE OF ROLEX FORUM.COM WHO HAS MEMBERS FREQUENTLY AND FRAUDULENTLY REQUESTING SERIAL NUMBERS CLAIMING THAT THEY CAN CHECKOUT THE WATCH HISTORY THOUGH THEY CLAIM NO AFFILIATION WITH ROLEX USA ARM BUT HAS ASSOCIATES WITHIN EUROPEAN ARM! THE WEBSITE AND THOSE INVOLVED ARE BEING INVESTIGATED! IT IS UNLAWFUL UNLESS OTHERWISE AND WITH THE FULL CONSENT FROM THE INDIVIDUAL TO HAND OVER SENSITIVE INFORMATION AT THIER DISCRETION TO ANY FORUM OR PERSON WHO FAILS TO I.D. AS AN EMPLOYEE OF THE ORGANISATION. HOWEVER PLEASE DO NOT HAND OVER ANY PERSONAL PROFILE SERIEL NUMBERS AS THIS HOLDS YOUR ADDRESS AND WATCH DETAILS. ROLEX FORUM.COM AND AFFILIATES HAVE NO RIGHT AND IS NOW BEING INVESTIGATED FOR PHISHING(FRAUD) COULD LEAD TO A CRIMINAL CONVICTION FOR THOSE WHO ENDORSE SUCH BAD PRACTICES!

The Rolex Forum is a waste of time. Most of the post are about "Incoming" new Rolex, Scarcity of Rolex watches, AD availability and Why Rolex is so good. Most of the post are repeating over and over again. Very seldom there's valuable information. I would stay away from this forum unless you're Rolex snub.

You have hundreds if not thousands of very knowledgeable if not the most knowledgeable people in the world about Rolex and other luxury brands. You can find the info you need there for sure. On top of that you have a sales thread that watches are posted for sale and looked at by the fine eye of the Rolex experts. If there is a problem with a watch they will spot it. I give this place a 9 of 10 for good place to shop for a Rolex.
