Disclaimer, I was formerly a moderator at this site,(4-5 years ago) and am a current member, but somewhat inactive. I have no direct interest in this site now, other than I support what they do. Romancescam.com is the best place to look for help, and information on internet romancescams from the Former Soviet Union countries, and West Africa. Regardless of where you you think your scammer may be from, most garden variety internet romance scammers frequently are from these two generic regions. Experts who are not emotionally involved with your scammer can easily help you understand who, or what, you are actually in contact with! That 'white' person is often a black male in West Africa. The sexy 'Russian' girl is usually a young Russian man, making money by tricking gulible men. Most of the scams are very simple to figure out when you are not emotionally involved, and have just a little experience. Romancescam.com can help you!

“Website and Forum was helpful, pity about the admins.”

This forum was a useful source of information about romance scams and how they work, and seemed to have some genuine members on there giving support and exchanging about their experiences - especially people who have also been victims. But I'm pretty disgusted by the behaviour of the admins who run it. They say in their rules about being banned if you disagree with the admins, and they're not kidding. I have been permanently banned without warning or explanation just because I didn't 100% agree with what the admins were saying. There also seems to be some system where if you pay you get promoted to a higher 'rank'. So maybe it's all to do with the money making side of it, and people who have paid thinking that entitles them to some kind of elevated position of authority. So I'd say go on there as a resource for information, and you may have some helpful exchanges with other members, but make sure you do what you're told, and don't question the "wisdom" of the admins. I also wouldn't recommend it for anyone feeling vulnerable as a result of having been scammed - as whilst other members may be helpful, an encounter with the admins would probably be more of a hindrance than a help.

Excellent antiscam forum. This forum is a wonderful tool and resource for exposing and listing scammers such as Nigerian scammers and Russian and Ukrainian and Asian scammers and it is also a helpful in exposing scam sites like anastasiadate.com, hotrussianbrides.com and armyofbrides.com, etc

One can post their experiences on the forum and the information can be used to help protect many others from romance scams and romance scammers that are out there.

The information on this site is very useful and can safeguard many from being a victim of a romance scam.
