Purchased Toast 17 Pro (Platinum). Got a little over 2 years use. Upgraded my operating system to OS X Catalina. Toast (and some of Corel's photo software) ceased to function. They could care less. They never fixed the problem. Their answer: 17 was not designed for that operating system. This is a company to avoid at all costs.

Tip for consumers:
Roxio/Corel does not support their products when there are changes in the operating systems of computers. They take no responsibility even when there is a short time of use (e.g., about two years for a $119 product). Look for another company that makes the product you want.

Toast 17. Got less than two years out of it before it no longer functioned under upgraded OS X Catalina. For $119 that is a complete rip-off.
Don't ever think they will stand behind their products because they won't. I contacted support to resolve a file backup issue I was having with one of their legacy problems. The representative's response was unintelligible and didn't describe a solution in any manner. When I asked him to please define what he meant by "it" and "that" when describing his "solution" he simply left the chat. So when they don't know what to do, they will just ditch you. I was prepared to spend $100 on a companion program to help resolve a file-saving issue with a legacy product, but the customer non-service displayed to me today convinced me to save my money or use another company's product. The only service I've seen this abysmal was Tracfone. I've attached the end of the 40 MINUTE CHAT. What a waste of time.
Bought a program from them and it is not loading up on my computer, called 7 or 8 times and the person says they promise that someone from their Tec Dept will get in touch and they never do. They are trying to sell me a higher version even though the one I paid for never worked.
I am totally fed up with them. I wish I can give them a zero rating.

Do not buy Roxio Easy VHS to DVD. I bought the latest version after the old version crashed my computer 3 times. Called customer service. They said program was outdated for Windows 11. I bought the new version. Didnt crash my computer this time but I got messages of no drivers available. Found a questionable driver after making several adjustments to computer. Program still fails to work correctly. "Roxio not responding messages" etc. I tried uninstall and reinstall a few times. No improvement. I uninstalled and threw it in the trash.

Years ago I had a Roxio program that worked on Windows 7. I'm no expert but I can manage most programs and normally correct issues. I think the company does not give a $#*! about producing a crappy product as I have read many negative reviews about this product on other sites.

I have bought this product before and was told the my computer was too old to run the product and therefore bought a new computer (top of the range Dell) and a new up to date software from Roxio and still not working properly!
I had to go through several emails with the tech team taking hours of my time only to find it couldn't work!
My husband bought software for burning cd's. It turned out to be a corrupt copy and he couldn't get it off of his computer or laptop. Now, he is having to reset both to factory settings. If we would have known there would be so many problems, we wouldn't have wasted money and it can't be returned. Buyer beware!
Customer service is so bad they will not fix a problem with the video capture device and its software.

Couldn't even get one copy of a DVD I made using Nero. Which EXCELS. I bought form Walmart, refurbished (TechforLess)
I have recently purchased the "Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus" and the verdict is still out on whether this product is actually worth the money. This product gives you no indication that you still need to purchase double ended male leads, a male to male "S" cable, if you want better quality, and a USB extension cable because the supplied one is a massive 1 foot long. No wonder this product was on sale. This is misleading advertising and that's putting it kindly. The additional cables cost more than the product. This product is a rip-off.

My advice to you is, try another product and make sure it includes everything you need for your project before purchasing.
Some time ago I bought Roxio Creator and recently tried to remove the program from my computer. Bad move. I can't remove the program and can't contact Roxio to obtain any help. I tried using Geek Buddy and they just messed things up.
It appears Roxio has been bought by another company and they want nothing to do with older Roxio software, I'm stuck with a window at start up telling me "Roxio installation is stating up, after hammering on Delete 5 or 6 times it goes away...
Used to be great when it was Simple Star. I still have the old CD's but won't work with WIndows 7. The clip art from Roxio is very poor. I am glad I only paid for 1 year!
Used to have great comics & Garfield, etc. Miss it!
