“I found my wife on this website so it does work!”

Dieter B.

I found my wife on this website so it does work! Another website member tried to scam me on this website. Was exchanging emails with this beautiful girl, the too good to be true type and a week later gave me this sad story about how she got robbed and needed money for something or other. I stopped writing and so did they, obviously there are easier targets than me to get money off. She had a Russian name and very ordinary english so 'she' was suspicious from the beginning. I bet it was some guy...

This site is full of scammers, and every time you contact them you lose your money. And its not cheap either, minimum 14 $ for a stamp which you need to send your first msg. And once they reply, you lost your money. My advice, stay away from it. They even dont block scammers form Overseas. Or may be the scammers are using VPN. They dont verify the users. So you cannot win. Just stay away form it

I have used it for about three weeks. Not a good dating site. Very few number of active profiles pop-up on searches. All of them will be on eHarmony anyhow. Several people have complained here of RSVP charging their credit cards inaccurately. There are negative reviews about this site everywhere.

DO NOT give your bank or card details to this site. BE CAREFUL!

Tip for consumers:
Too expensive and low user base. The website looks super old.

Just use eHarmony instead which is cheaper and much better, with a larger userbase.

I signed up under Sydney because their site would not accept my usa postal code or country, sent my photos via their email. But told my account was suspended due to my ip address was not Australia and wanted me to tell them why and I asked where does it say I have to live in Australia to join their site? And they won't respond. Though I am on their mailing list though asked to be removed. Weird part I was on there in 2007 and even flew to Australia in 2007 but they claim safety for their members. I live in las vegas so explain how am I not safe

I paid for 1 months stamps ($56), they automatically debited my A/C for another $56 straight after stamps expired, I did not authorise them to do this, I couldn't find any information saying this when you purchase stamps, bloody scam!

Tip for consumers:
Don't do it, scam

Had the same experience as others - within two days of paying for a year's VIP membership my account disappeared. They didn't let me know - even though they had my email. Exact same excuse - they said my ip address was suspect. How can it be - it's just a standard Telstra Internet account.
They asked for my phone number - I think this is an identify fraud scam. I will contact Westpac to get them to refund the credit card charge as there was no service provided
What a bunch of thieves.
Fairfax, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Paying doesn't make it any better. Difficult to tell who people really are because rsvp censor profiles. I wrote the word aural, as in relating to the ear or the sense of hearing. I believe the staff at rsvp are illiterate. They removed the entire paragraph. Don't waste time on your profile. Don't even waste time on the site. It scammed people early on and was sold once or maybe twice. Wake up. Go out. Find people elsewhere.

Buyer beware! Barely 30 hours after purchasing a 3-month premium RSVP online dating membership, I attempted to log in to my profile a number of times but kept receiving the message USER NAME DOES NOT EXIST. Thinking I may have inadvertently deleted my profile I contacted customer support via email. I was advised by RSVP that my profile was deactivated as "a security measure" because I accessed it from a different IP. You read it right, RSVP inactivated my profile simply because I used an encrypted web browser (TorBrowser) to access the website from another computer. It wasn't until I made enquiries that RSVP advised me of this. My profile is professionally written. My photos are current and conform to the requirements. I didn't use offensive language on my profile. For some reason, they took offence to me using TorBrowser. Two emails to Nathan in customer support remain unanswered almost 4 days later. They are yet to respond to PayPal's dispute email. In fact I had to escalate to the CEO of Fairfax Media (the owners of RSVP.com.au) in the hope that my complaint will be actioned by someone in RSVP. RSVP's Terms & Conditions are also significantly imbalanced, favouring them over the paying customer - they have the opportunity to delete or edit anyone's profile at any time without having to give a reason or notice. Does this mean if they don't like your race they can delete, or if they don't like your inability to use proper grammar they can delete, or if you're not attractive they can delete? Apparently, yes. Is it right? No, of course not. RSVP.com.au DON'T provide a phone number, so those aggrieved may find it difficult to have an issue resolved - a thorough search didn't find a phone number, so they must go to lengths to hide it. EHarmony, on the other hand, openly list a toll-free number AND a live-chat window. I have since decided to lodge a complaint about RSVP.com.au with Consumer Affairs. I urge anyone who's received a similar (unsatisfactory) experience to do the same. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that people NOT join RSVP.com.au. I'm a paying customer and I'm felling like they've scammed me. I'll post updates as (if) they become available.

Tip for consumers:
Buyer beware. I'm a paying customer - read how this company has treated me.

Well after trying Ashley Madison lost money and the only real babes were ugly as sin.

Tried Gagahai and enjoyed the experience but again it really only turned out to be after money and to take real advantage of the system you would have to live in China then use the Red Packets to buy a r...?

Don't mention all the fake dating sites... real what... no credit card... well only one

Tried RSVP and persisted for 3 months till I was at the last straw and set defined limits and then went through the final 600 systematically till I came across a Chinese lady who... well was worth the effort. We dated for 12 months and now live together... really a lovely experience.

Went back to RSVP to look at site for fun... I do have a good memory and guess what so many familiar faces especially the better looking ones probably cupids planted by site or may be they just go from man to man for the fun and excitement of the chase...?
