The managers of the store are on top of things I sent an email about some pants I was trying to return for a different size but they never had my size received a call within 10 minutes. They offered to exchange my jeans even for a more expensive pair. I declined because I like the pants that I bought so they are ordering them and going to have them at the store for me to pick up. I have to say their customer service is top notch I wish more stores led by their example will definitely be doing business with them for a long time to come, awesome job Shannon and Matt!
Applied for new credit card was approved same day. Tried to purchase a 5 foot tiller online was unable. Called store thinking they could or would help! Ha! Sad day when you have money that you want to spend and the associates not able to make it happen. I was trying to keep Alabama strong and buy a machine made here at home. What has happened to America :( no pride)

Finally got website to show me what I was looking for, so I added it cart, then went to check out, signed into my account as I have done before, only to be told I had requested a password reset? And would receive a verification code. 15 minutes later I finally get the code, go through all the hoops to get signed in only to be told the verification code was incorrect, I checked 3 times, it's the code you sent me? I mean wtf? Tried everything I could think of everytime I get the same thing the case they send is invalid, so why send an invalid code? Again WTF!

Every time I go to check on my guns I order the gun barn is always closed. It's has been 3 weeks and I have had no call or email. The guns a paid for and being held hostage. Went to another gun dealer and was cleared the same day.
Purchased a Champion generator from Cape Girardeau store in December of 2023. Tried to start in Jan and would not start. Tried to return to the store and they refused to take it back. They said it was their policy. The problem with that is their policy is not displayed where the product is in the store. The assistant mgr also told me it is stated on the back of the receipt. That is absurd since you cannot see that until AFTER you purchase the item. Very deceptive practice. I'll never enter that store again and would advise all to beware.
In March of last year, I bought a brand new RK 55 tractor with everything on it. The most expensive tractor that rocking sells. Everything was fine until the summer when the air-conditioning started making a screeching noise. We did everything on the farm to try and fix the problem, tightening, belts, lubricants, everything nothing worked. I literally have not been able to use the air conditioning all summer. I called in July to try and get an appointment for them to send out a service person to the farm to fix it. I was told when I bought the tractor that they had a mobile service team that could come to my farm and fix most issues. I was told it would be three weeks. OK, so I have to be hot for three weeks. That was six weeks ago. I have not heard a word from them. I finally called yesterday and was informed by the new, tractor sales manager, but they do not have a service team, they do not even have people in their service shop. He informed me that if I want my tractor fixed, I will have to pay $175 an hour to get a technician to come to my farm, even though it is still under warranty. This is no way to run a business and no way to keep customers.
After two weeks of waiting for shipping information on some firewood I ordered I called to check the status and was told it was placed on hold for verification, I was told if I hadn't called I would have never been informed! They then stated it would take an additional 1-3 day for verification and another 1-3 weeks for processing! I asked if there was a way to expedite the processing and they refused, said they were unable to do that. 4 days after calling to verify my information I received an email that my order had been cancelled with no explanation as to why. This is a bad company that treats their customers poorly, obviously has very poor management and I will never purchase from Rural King again. Additional I will make it a point to post this on every review forum and share my experience with everyone I know. Not that is matters because I have no doubt this company will be bankrupt in no time!
March 9. I ordered two dehumidifiers to be shipped to store, as I am in the area 3 or 4 times per month, so convenient pickup. While I was at it, I put bird seed in the order (I usually purchase when at this store). Within a few hours an email of order cancelled. I contacted customer service immediately on same day to inquire as to the problem. I spoke with Parker who explained the dehumidifier was not in stock at "the store", but that the seed was shipping. I knew that the dehumidifiers were not in stock at Winchester, and that is why I ordered -"ship to store". I also requested that Parker cancel the seed and obviously ridiculous shipping cost on a $13 item.
Today March 12, I receive an email and tracking number for the birdseed from FedEx. Call and speak with Cassidy who says it was in process at the warehouse/pique list and that the shipping was part of the TERMS agreed to when I placed the order.
Though I always liked RK, no more. Advice:be very cautious with their online store...
I was trying to purchase birdseed online...first of all, it won't show which items are out of stock until AFTER you try to check out and have been through PAYPAL ( 4 times!), and it keeps asking for a shipping address, even though I have entered one multiple times. Get your act together Rural King!
Please go elsewhere for purchases. I ordered a swing for my grandson and was never notified if it shipped. Called Customer Service and they said my order was flagged as fraud. Confirmed all info with customer service and she was to notify the fraud dept to clear the order. Then was notified 2 days later that order was cancelled. No reason. No explanation. Credit card is fine, been at this address 11 yrs etc. The purchase was only $46...but they DID want to charge $17 to ship...ridiculous. So they have the nerve to ruin a Christmas gift with absolutely no explanation. I will be making it known to everyone I know who does business with this 2 star company (that's pretty bad actually) to do their business elsewhere. A joke of a company. Will also be contacting my local news to inform them to air my story.

I purchased "Heavy Duty" tomato cages from Rural King. I received the cages in a fairly timely manner. These cages were anything but heavy duty, they were so flimsy that two of them were broken when I received them. Unfortunately I decided to keep them because my plants were already in the ground. I filed a complaint with RK customer service, at this point it has been two weeks and I have yet to receive a response. This was my first and last experience with RK.

I've tried purchasing an E-gift card TWICE & it says it instantly goes to your email. They have cancelled it BOTH times with no explanation, even though the funds have been taken from my account. I called customer support and spoke with Tori and she was rude as $#*!, first of all, and then claimed that it didn't match the account even though the $250 has been removed and said there's nothing she can do! Absolutely makes NO sense and I'm VERY dissatisfied with this experience! Absolutely pathetic!

My two complaints are as follows: I've ordered a couple things from Rural King and have found that the people who take the calls for product information are quite clueless when it comes to the products they sale. It seems as if you have a question about a product you better do your own research because they can't really do much more than tell you if it is in stock or not...even that isn't a for sure thing with these people. I just got an email saying that they no longer ship anything at all to California. I thought it must have been a mistake so I called and was told that in fact the 40,000,000 customers (potential or established) in California can order from other companies but that they in fact no longer ship anything to the state of California! Not only are they a company of uninformed, under performing employees but it seems that the management is somewhere between "really dumb" and "totally stupid"! That's ok, we have lots of other online choices.
Cannonsburg ky. I stopped in to see the ammo price s. I've never set foot inside this place ever. Was shopping for ammo. Went to the counter and the girl there was very knowledgeable and helpful and the young man there was nice and polite as well. I bout 60$ worth of ammo and paid for it no problem at the gun counter. I was walking out and I stopped in the front and was looking at some plastic totes. I had my bag in my hand and as I was walking out this manager lady yelled at me and said hey I need to see what's in your bag. First of all that was unbelievably rude. I said yea sure no problem. What made me mad was her calling me out in front of everyone. This manager doesn't know what she is doing. If your a manager you should know that you have other registers throughout the store. I will tell you this I spend a couple grand a month on target ammo and that was going to be my new spot. But after that I will take my business elsewhere. That was absolutely ridiculously embarrassing. They get 2 stars because the gun counter girl and guy were polite and knowledgeable. I'm not the type to go around and get folks on trouble but that was handled the wrong way. So to you Red headed manager at cannonsburg ky rural king you just lost a lot of business I will never be back. Acting like I did something wrong or stole something is utterly ridiculous.

Would be nothing wrong with store in ocala FL if they would mark prices for things they sell. Looked at jeans, spf50 shirts and drill bits last night among other things that had no prices marked anywhere. An employee went to register to get price on lee Jean's and items still did not get marked. This is every time we go to store.

I realize I had the best customer service on Sunday than I ever had before. I think his name is Larick. I hope I spelled his name right. He has an extremely unique name, and personality. All I have to say about him is he's phenomenal and helping me discover things around the store. He even went out of his way to help my husband get something outside in the cold weather. And then he got me checked out by the lovely cashiers he also mentioned surveys, but I had to write a review about this young man.
I went to Rural King to pick up a hunting tree stand for my son. The one he wanted wasn't available, so being he was out of state, we were checking for another one. He comes home every November to go deer hunting. Thanks to Josh, Deb and Tim for allowing us to purchase one they had in store for the online price (which was not ringing up the sale price). Appreciate your patience and helpfulness!
My wife used the restroom in our Bedford Indiana store and she said it terrible the doors on the stalls had been ripped off and were leaning against the wall and another was hanging off the stall.
Stopped by Rural King in Dothan for the first time. Lots of dead chicks in with the live ones. Area starting to smell!
I was shopping at Rural King, Owensboro, Ky, I had bought a case of Rotella oil in gallon jugs as Trey were out of the 5 gl buckets. They sell these jugs by the case, they are labeled for the case price in their rack. When checking out, the box didn't ring up so the cashier took one out of the case. She asked me if there was only 2 in the case and I corrected her as there are 3. So she rang up 3. The price of 3 individually was 9.00 higher than the case price. When I pointed this out to her, the cashier informed me that's the only way she had to ring them up so that was my price. I told he that it's not my problem it don't ring up right but they can't just overcharge people because it rings up wrong. So I didn't buy it and asked for the manager. I explained to the manager the difference in price, the manager said the same, they can only ring these up individually even though they sell the, but the case at 9.00 cheaper. I told the manager that just because it doesn't ring up, that's something they need to fix because they will over charge anyone that they ring up if they scan each jug.I thought the manager would contact someone to get the price corrected, but they didn't. They offered to contact the oil guy and correct my price but I didn't want it just for me. When I realized they was not going to correct the pricing issue for unsuspecting customers, I was done and had already made up my mind, I wasn't buying the oil but I still wanted the pricing error fixed. When they refused to fix the price and I told them I wasn't buying the oil, she smirky told me to have a good day and I left. I shop at this location a lot, as I do the ones in Pikeville Ky, Winchester Ky and Ashland Ky. But I'm done. I am pretty sure there is an obligation for pricing issues to be corrected and that did not happen. Had they told me they'd pull the case pricing from the display, I would have been satisfied. At least then you know what price the item would ring up.
The manager kept telling the cashier that they did the right thing by scanning the individual jug. I had a problem with that due to the price difference in the case vs. individual pricing. She thought I was being argumentative but I wasn't at all as it's wrong if there is a difference in price.

Ordered a sprayer + weed control. They cancelled the order because sprayer not available and immediately shipped weed control for $38 shipping cost. When I told them to cancel the order because shipping is nonsense they said they cannot cancel the order as it is shipped. So it cost me $38 for shipping one bottle of weed control! They said they will see if they can do something with the cost and reimburse me but never came back. On top when i wrote them a review they replied it do not meet their website guidelines so they removed that. Stay aware and do not buy from them.

The ASMs are all best friends, get away with doing minimal work throughout the day. They've all got a superiority complex once in the position, with the exception of one, who was always that way. They're incredibly disrespectful to anyone under them except for a few favorites they have, and it shows blaringly obvioualy. They pile tasks onto other employees including the HR rep, whose job is NOT to be moving freight or any other task on the floor as it isn't their job. Now they have no time to assist employees with issues or check scheduling requests.
There's a particular employee who keeps stealing coworkers food and drinks, sabotaging things in the breakroom which can and have made coworkers sick but management won't do anything about because, and this is an actual quote, "There's no cameras back there so we can't do anything about it." They have the witnesses but refuse to punish the person.
There is no longer a dedicated person to clean restrooms and they have not been cleaned in 2 weeks now. The mop bucket still has the same black water in it. The floors and toilets are nasty, even the stall walls are disgusting. There's no ventilation in employee OR customer restrooms.
I respect the store manager for all the effort they put forth but they seem to have difficulty getting the ASMs under control. Management needs an extreme make over.
Special attention needs to be given to the chicks as well. Their care is severely lacking as of late. I would attach photos but they may upset some people.
Overall, I love my job and really enjoy most of my coworkers. It's not a bad place to work but it's easy to go home angry.

I stop at Rural King any time I am within 50 miles of one of their stores. We were recently at Rural King in another state that we were visiting. We purchased a couple of the summer sausages. They are amazing. When we returned home one of them had some mold on the inside. The vacuum packaging had not sealed correctly. I contacted Rural King through their website and asked what we could do about it. Less than an hour later Rural King called me and pleasantly asked for a little more information. When they found out the entire story, they apologized for the inconvenience and asked for my address since there is not a store anywhere close to me. They then rush shipped me a new one and another surprise was in the package for the inconvenience it caused me. If all retail stores were like Rural King the world of shopping would be a much better place. Thank you Rural King for being amazing at what you do.
Bought an item online and they sent me the wrong item. Customer service said it was a mistake with skew numbers, so why send me something totally different and never notifying me of the error. Horrible customer service and horrible business practices. Would have given a 0 rating if available. I should have read the reviews before ever doing business with such a bad business.

Store was clean, felt very welcomed. I have to say the floor associate or cashier I have seen the girl do both I believe she said her name was Susan she made my little girls night. Susan let her pet a bunny and a chicken while she was on one of her breaks on the evening of January 20th.
