“Poor customer service”

On the first of December of 2022 I found 20 fraudulent charges on my rushcard. I contacted them and was treated with very poor customer service. They canceled my account which I was expecting however they sent me another card but when I tried to activate it I couldn't because they will not let me have another account until their investigation is resolved. I was told that this could be up to 90 days. That is $525 gone and now I can't pay for my utilities.

On the first of December of 2022 I found 20 fraudulent charges on my rushcard. I contacted them and was treated with very poor customer service. They canceled my account which I was expecting however they sent me another card but when I tried to activate it I couldn't because they will not let me have another account until their investigation is resolved. I was told that this could be up to 90 days. That is $525 gone and now I can't pay for my utilities.

Tip for consumers:
If I had reviewed rushcard I never would have used them.

This used to be a good prepaid company but NOT anymore this used to be my go to card But there's no good customer service reps they're very rude And won't listen & the log in is TRASH! All you can do on phone call is check account or dispute a transaction Which is a waste of time My card was LOCKED TONIGHT and I have an EMERGENCY as I'm righting thus review $400 and the RUDE REP BLOCK MY CARD! & told me he was Cause he didn't like how I was speaking to him [>>> Thry even make it HARD to WRITE A REVIEW

This used to be a good company I don't know what happened to them once they changed banks they were never the same again they don't care about their customers anymore I have a fraud case that needs to be examined and there's absolutely no customer support whatsoever not on the phone not on the app they exist to collect their fees don't waste your time if something goes wrong or you just have a general question they're not going to be there for you.

Got fraudulent charges RushCard refunded money to the closed hacked account who does that? Now I am waiting for replacement check it's been three months since I requested refund every foreign Cust service person says they'll put it through but I haven't gotten it yet! Terrible customer service

I HAVE HAD MY ACCOUNT FROZEN WITH OVER $4k IN IT SINCE 2018. AND I HAVE CONTACTED THE OFFICE FOR COMPTROLLER CURRENCY, BBB, AND THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE AND THEY WILL NOT SEND ME MY MONEY. RUSSELL SIMMONS SHOULD BE SHAME OF THIS COMPANY HE BUILD AND IS NOW $#*! EVEN THROUGH HE SOLD IT. NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH, CAN'T TALK TO ANYONE BUT BY EMAIL AND THEY WON'T ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS STILL. I AM CURRENTLY SEEKING LEGAL HELP TO GET MY MONEY. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I EVER CAME ACROSS.

Rush Card have an inside security breech. An employee of theirs was using my credit card to purchase Google Music down-loads. I never got my money back. The employee stole hundreds from me. This happened last month. I had been a customer for twelve years. BE WARNED.

DOUBLE FEES! THEY CHARGE A FEE THEN THE RETAILER CHARGES A FEE! YOU CAN'T TALK TO A PERSON BY PHONE UNLESS YOU'VE LOST YOUR CARD! NO LIVE CHAT FEATURE! IF YOU GET DOWN TO $0 BALANCE AND TRY TO CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT, THEY SEND YOU A "SCRIPTED MESSAGE" SAYING THAT THE ACCOUNT WILL CLOSE EVENTUALLY AND OF COURSE THEY HAVE "INACTIVITY" FEES SO WHILE YOU'RE WAITING FOR THEIR SYSTEM TO CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT, YOU'RE HIT WITH AN INACTIVITY FEE! THESE PEOPLE BELONG IN JAIL! I HAVE CONTACTED CFPB AND TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL AND LODGED A FORMAL COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM! MY NEXT ACTION WILL BE MY ATTORNEY!

Rush card is a piece of $#*! want let load app and put info in or nothing sonif i cant do that no access to my info and also i can load the money more than 2 times then it loks like fraud but that is the only way to load 500 at a time which they policy then onece u do that its locked

This is the worst card and has created the most problems for me financially, as they are refusing to fund my account with a large deposit I received from the federal government. Rushcard originally held the funds until I could verify where the funds came from, which I did with a letter of verification and remittance letter, along with my ID, as they requested, only to have my funds sent back to the sender after being told they would be released in one to two days because my verification was approved.
I wanted to love this black-owned company; I just can not. This is the second time I have had to send in my identification to receive funds. There is too much of a hassle to get the money that belongs to me from this card. Save yourself the trouble and money and get a real bank account or use a credit union.

Get another card that is not affiliated with this company

MY CARD HAS BEEN FRAUDULENTLY CHARGED FROM OVERSEAS, MULTIPLE TIMES. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT SOMEONE... ANYONE TO GET HELP WITH THIS! I AM DISABLED, AND FOR DAYS HAVE NOT HAD A PERSON ANSWER ANY OF THEIR FORMS OF COMMUNICATION. NO EMAIL. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE ONE PERSON WHO EVENTUALLY DID ANSWER TOLD ME HE COULDN'T HELP ME. Dear reviews if anyone is looking for a safe debit card RushCard is not the one, on January 7th RushCard allow a transaction to go through without my authorization to a company call Park Mobile in Atlanta Georgia. I Googled the company's name I Googled the company's name while the representative was on the phone and the representative heard for themselves it was a scam when I called the number that google provided.

January 8th I called RushCard back I spoke with another representative that told me I will have to have a new card sent out I can either choose standard mail or I can have the card expedited for $35, I ask the representative why should I have to pay $35 to receive a card that I did not authorize to be used then the representative replied to me again stating that I can choose $35 to expedite or standard mail I chose standard mail, but the representative took it upon themselves to take $35 off my card anyway today I called to speak to someone else about the situation in hand and I was told just now by the representative that I cannot get my $35 back because that's Rush cards policy.

Ever since Russell Simmons sold his company I have been having plethora of transactions done on my card without my authorization and all the representative can tell me as a customer since 2008 is it's nothing they can do until I sign paperwork for the claim I told the representative that I have been having problems trying to download the paperwork they sent to me via email I have been unsuccessful to get this documentation that was sent to me, so I said all of this to tell you guys this if you have a RushCard I will cancel my business with the RushCard and they are trained to tell us as customers they understand us my question is how can we understand the next human being when we don't even know the capacity of their frustration their pain or their hurt that's like telling someone we understand their hurt from the loss of a loved one we don't understand the next person pain because we're not in their heart we can only imagine the significance of pain that they're in.

So how can RushCard Representatives understand me when they don't even know nothing about me they don't even know my financial situation to understand me but this is how these big corporations do they make you go through all these loops and jumps to retrieve your money back but they don't make the thieves that steal our money go through all the things that they put us as customers through and we have been loyal to them for years I've been a loyal customer with RushCard since 2008 and now they have the audacity to put me through the wringer to get my money back I don't care if it was 10 cents they took it's my ten cents. So again viewers do not get a RushCard I don't have any of these issues with my green dot or bank mobile. Thank you guys for taking the time to read my review please do not get a RushCard find other debit card companies that are more safe and will protect their customers better than RushCard you guys stay blessed and make sure that none of this happens to you..

I am so sick of these people getting over on people... Taking their sweet time posting people deposits... I really don't understand why I get my deposits later & later every month... They really should be able to set date & keep it the same... But they have no problem charging that monthly fee... I've had rushcard since 2010 & hadn't had any problems until recently... Mine you, they had cheated me out of over $50 a few months ago... I'm bout to report them to BBB & FTC... Then I'm changing my direct deposit. RUSSELL SIMMONS (RUSHCARD) NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER! This is why society don't like dealing with black folks.

These people are the worse service to ever trust with your money. If you have an account with them, do NOT have your tax refund sent to them. These people rejected our refund because it was "too" much. Netspend has a higher limit and that is the account I should have used in the first place. We provided Rushcard with all the documents they requested and they said it just took too long. It took us two days because their representatives couldn't figure out exactly what they needed from us. One person even said 1080 instead of 1040. Because of all of this, the IRS said it will take them 5-10 more weeks to resend it and they will not be able to send it back to the account but in the form of a check. The IRS representative said Rushcard should not have done that because they delayed our already delayed tax return. They did this in the middle of a freaking pandemic when people are trying to just make it. My husband has been an account holder for over 7 years. After today, he will not be. I can promise that.

My account got hacked on July 27th from online order that I did not authorize I call RushCard to tell them about the transaction error and that I didn't authorize transaction they told me that I would have to do is this Feud and they put the old card on hold they said they will be issuing me a new card that was 7 to 10 days ago another 7 to 10 days ago and now they tell me today and still has not been sent out it's another seven to ten days they're about to pick up my car my rent late never been late because of their era now they should have told me that they were not sending me my card while the dispute was going on that was never relate to me now they're trying to charge me $5 for replacement card that I never received in the first place because they were supposed to issue me another car once I get my money out of this mess I am closing my account I have been a customer for over 20 years and they don't give a doggone about what my situation is for I didn't have nothing to do with so RushCard stinks their websites terrible their customer service reps hang up on you and they act like they don't care 20 year customer really don't do it don't do business with them you're going to be in a world of trouble and don't have any transaction on your account that you don't know anything about because you'll be going now been over a month the hell with RushCard

I have been with Rushcard since 2010. Ive never had an issue with them until recently! I have two cards which I use for both my boys SSI benefits. Last month (Sept 27th) I received an deposit for the Oct payment. When I checked my account through the app only one childs payment posted but not the other, mind you its not supposed to come until the 1st so i waited. I reached out to Rushcard after it didnt post the next day. I was told wait 1 to 2 business days. I waited... I end up reaching out to SSA and they told me on their end its clear. So I called Rush again. They told me it was recieved but for some reason did not post. They told me they would escalate this to cooperate and to wait 1 to 2 days. Reached back out again and this time they told me it was never a deposit for that amount. You can only imagine my fustration! They again told me to wait 1 to 2 days so they could fix it. Long story short I still havent recieved the deposit for SEPT and and its now going into NOV. Rush claims they have no idea what happened. I called SSA to change my bank acct. They confirmed with me that it was switched. Fast forward to Oct 26th apparently SSA lied to me because it went to the same acct. Yesterday I was supposed to had received Nov payment again one child posted the other did not. Reached out to rushcard and they told me the same thing that it was recieved but not posted and they would escalate it. Now I am missing two deposits and no one will help me! Please Share this I NEED HELP! I have proof of everything I said and more!

I've used this card for years for my direct deposit..so one day I get off from work and stop by the grocery store to buy a few things and my card says declined ..i look at the cashier like no ma'am please swipe it again..so she swipes it again it declines again..i remind you I've never had issues with my Rushcard before nor have i ever had to call anf confirm a deposit status..usually my payroll is deposited 3days early..I immediately go outside to my car call customer care wondering why my ddp hasn't loaded into my account...customer services tells me sorry ma'am your deposit was returned to the sender then they proceeds to give me another call..needless to say long story short it took me 7 days to get to the bottom of the situation..they closed my account due to fraudulent activity which never happend ...a few days later they contacted me with a letter by mail asking me to contact them...i contacted them they apologized and offered to open me a new account up over the phone with a 1$ credit ...yipeee 1$ what will i buy..i declined the offer ..why would i put myself thru that again and risk my bills being late..

My wife signed up for a Rush Card but it wasn't that good once we looked into the terms and fees. I think Russel Simmons might be just capitalizing on his fame and connects to find one more way to make money from people who don't have credit cards. I don't think pre-paid debit cards are very good in general.
