Seal Skin Covers

Horrible customer service! Two times I was told they will send me my size cover. Both times too small. Returned the first got the second 2 weeks later. It was also too small. Now they say return it and they won't send me one that fits. Will refund 80 percent of the money and keep 20 percent as a restocking fee. Stay away from seal skin covers as there are many better places to buy from!

I've had MANY car covers over the years. All of them either did not fit, were too big or leaked a little or a lot. The sealskin cover is light, 100% water proof and with the draft straps across the bottom works perfectly, doesn't blow off in wind and kept my jeep dry and secure. It was exactly the size it needed to be. I'll have to order a custom cover to fit over my roof rack. I'm 100% pleased with the cover.

Received initial cover but was a bit short in length. Car was a 1971 Dodge.

I contacted sealskin and was asked how short was cover. I said just 1 foot. They sent me a return postage sticker and I boxed up/returned cover.

About 10 days later I received the replacement cover and it fit perfectly and it's awesome.

The soft inside with waterproof outside and elastic ends fits and protects the car better than I could have hoped.

My cover ripped wide open after one hour of use! A complete waste of money you will never get back! Seal skin covers will make sure of that. When asked to speak with a manager, the level one associate assures you, that won t be an option.no matter how good they make their so called "Warranty" sound, They will not issue Refunds for any reason what so ever. Customer service is virtually non existent. Next step for us will be talking with the attorney general along with the better business bureau.

Website was easy to use and to find what I needed. When I had questions I called and was told they were not open at the time so I sent an online inquiry and never heard back. I had questions about installing the cover and how to properly use the included straps. There are no instructions included. The cover looks nice and is very water proof but does not really fit my boat very well. I tried to travel with the cover on but it kept blowing off. In storage whenever it rains the bow and cockpit areas of the cover sunk into the boat and fill with water. I am no longer using the cover.

For indoor use it's an ok car cover. If it's used where it is exposed to the sun it will damage it real fast. My cover is used on a vehicle that is in an open garage. The back part of the vehicle is exposed to the sun for almost the whole day is damaged. The rest that isn't exposed to the sun looks almost next except for it being dirty. The pics I've uploaded shows the part that is exposed to the sun and the part that isn't. *update 7/13/22*. Tried to warranty the cover. They replied to my emails pretty much the next day at around the same time. As soon as there was a problem they stopped replying to my email. They are totally ignoring my emails. Package came for my Mercedes very quickly but before opening I made a rash decision to sell the Mercedes and buy a. BMW. Not sure the car cover would fit the BMW I contacted Seal Skin Covers to ask what I needed to do: send the cover back or open it and try it on the BMW. I was told it should fit the BMW but if not or I was disqualified with the fit to return the cover. It fits perfectly and I am very happy with the cover,

I could never get anyone from customer service on the phone. I received my new cover over a month ago without even knowing it was coming. I still don't know if you guys want the old cover or not.

I had ordered a cover for my boat and it was a bit too large, customer service worked with me for a perfect fit. I did cover the cost for the additional shipping, i was very satisfied that they still worked with me even though their policy doesn't cover international exchanges! Thank you! In the photo we still had to adjust the straps.

I received a cover from my father as a gift for a 1957 Ford Sedan, which I assume would hug its curves. Not only was there no instructions to tell which was the front and which was the back, but the cover was horrendously small. There is no way it was actually for a 1957 Ford... I have a complaint ticket into them now, but reading some other reviews, it looks like I'm stuck with this piece of crap.

My order came earlier than expected and it has been raining here so I had to wait for a break in the rain to try the installation. They really were custom made for my 2004 BMW 330ci convertible. I got everything on and hooked up and will adjust them more after I break them in. Pretty straight forward process. Seems like they are well made from quality skins! I love them!

Seal Skin is the biggest crooks in the world and completely lie when they tell you they have car covers to fit. I have a 1979 Corvette and the cover from Seal Skin does not come close to being a custom fit. As many others have stated, the only place this cover is good for covering is trash - exactly where it belongs. They should be investigated by the NY Attorney General's Office for ripping off their customers by misleading, inaccurate, and completely BS statements!

I "ordered" this Car Cover for a friend. He wanted the Deluxe, saying he feels more comfortable with that one. In Texas. Cars need Hail protection, so far he's satisfied.

Y'all have no problem taking my money but when it comes to your customer service and warranties you suck. I've been waiting for something to happen since the 21st of April.
I filled out the report sent the information to y'all and paid the extra $35.00 and still have no results even after trying several times to contact y'all by email and phone.... NOT HAPPY!!!!!!

First do not expect a firm delivery date, my cover came in 3 weeks.
Cover was about 6 inches narrower on the bow and about 2 feet to long on the back.
The shape of it was not even close to the shape of the ski jet. I sent it back the same day i received
And never got a replacement.
After many e-mails i got refunded 80% of the price
They said restocking fee.
For what?
Cover came in a mesh bag
Nobody answer the phone for customer service waiting time more than 40 minutes

Bought for a Hyundai Santa Cruz. They don't list Santa Cruz. So the Expert gave me a discount and they sent me a cover for a Monster Truck! 4 ft to long in the back. No tabs to tell you what end is what! Pain in the $#*! to send back. They want to bill you 18% for sending wrong cover. Never Never Again.
Told them to change name to Orca Skin closer Fit.!

Have two small tears near the mirror placement after only one month of use. Durability and Quality of the product is definitely in question makes me feel that I wanted my money even though I like the look of the cover. Also as far as design some clip options like my neighbors cove from another vendor would be good to add. The middle grommet holds but the back of the cover often moves up exposing the back of my car to the elements.

so far so good. should have an email and phone number for contact with company. also the multiple touch points is confusing and alienating.

The chat bot feature was very helpful to find what I was looking for. It fit my 2018 Ski-Doo Freeride 165 excellent. Lots of straps to keep it secure. Quality materials and workmanship. I recommend Sealskins.

It arrived with nice storage bag and zero instructions or suggestions. Straps had plenty of length but excess for transporting. No reenforcement or padding on windshield corners.

Need better and more prompt communication. I emailed twice asking about delivery, since it did not deliver according by the expected date at time at order. First it took several days for a response. The response was non-committal on delivery. With the excuse being COVID related and hopeful estimated delivery. My next email a week later was never responded to. However, I did receive the order that very same day. Very poor communication and followup.

We purchased a cover for our boat and received it as quickly as promised, however we received one that was too big for our boat. We were leaving the lake for home when we realized it was too big and could not return it within the window allowed for an exchange, however due to the circumstances they honoured our exchange and got things solved. Great customer service!

Excellent cover and coverage. Easy strap hookups. I also bought the umbrella stand to hold up cover, worked very well.

Car cover only lasted but a few years. Sent my warranty service payment. It took months before the replacement was shipped. When it arrived I tried to install it on my classic car and it was too short. Emailed Seal Skin and the stated "Wr are not responsible for ordering wrong replacement cover. There is nothing we can do" If your team member cannot read the year make and model from the info I provided how is this my fault! I had to order a new cover from different company. I will never do business with Seal Skin again.!
