“Parts rip-off”

Amy P.
2/28/22

They have customer service reps that have no idea what's wrong with their leaky coffee makers, but are quick to sell you their overpriced parts. In the end, coffee maker still doesn't work. They make you pay shipping both coming and returning and a restocking fee to boot! Also, their customer service number for returns doesn't even go through. Have to communicate through chat. Just a total waste of time and money.

Do not buy a Shark vacuum!
This is a piece of crap vacuum that I need others to know so as not to make the mistake of purchasing this product. Everyone needs to know that when something breaks on this vacuum, Shark makes you buy a whole new bottom piece. You cannot get a new foam roller, you cannot get a replacement belt, you have to pay for the whole bottom attachment, which costs around $100+ dollars. I went through 2 bottom pieces in 2 years! This is unacceptable!
This is a terrible waste, shame on Shark for being so wasteful and adding more scrap to the landfills. I will never buy another Shark vacuum again.

Products used:
After 2 years and 2 bottom replacements. I ordered a Hoover.

I had a problem with the roller on my vacuum. At first the customer service representative told me it was not cover because it was a wearable part and to replace it will cost 120 plus shipping, then he got a 50% off with no shipping, but that is still BS.
After a long call, the manager provided me with an email for the ombudsman. It is a third party that actually care.
If you have problems with your appliances don't go back and forward with and agent, just request ombudsman's email

We just purchased the Shark ninja 2-in-1, self emptying model (rv 2610) and so far, I'm just ANGRY at Shark. The vacuum will connect to wifi, but not the app. The problem is with the app connection. I have tried every single troubleshooting video and article available. We're close to the router, internet speed tests day everything is fast, so please don't give me that line of crap AGAIN. I've rebooted everything so many times, I stopped counting. It never successfully creates a map and it simply will not communicate with the app after initial setup steps. I've deleted the app, tried adding a new robot, all of it - multiple times. Nothing. Works. I'm ready to throw it into the street, it's so frustrating. Then, top that off with finding out Shark actively does NOT want to help you. They make it impossible to get any help beyond a chatbot and online articles. Terrible app design, terrible customer experience. I was so excited for this product and all you've done is successfully create someone who is going to tell everyone - don't buy this product or any vacuum that uses the app. You will regret it.
Today I used the callback number the online troubleshooting guide told me to use, and the number DOESN'T WORK ON CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES. I regret this purchase deeply. Don't buy this product, it won't work and Shark has made it IMPOSSIBLE to get any help.

Tip for consumers:
Do not buy anything that needs the app, don't expect help with any product, don't expect the warranty to cover much of anything.

I had a shark vacuum that had a 7 year warranty that retailed for well over $300. I've called the company numerous times with issues with the vacuum. The vacuum just was not picking up or able to use the vacuum hose if the vacuum was in an upright position. Each time I would call they would have me troubleshoot with them, I was told just to shut it off for an hour what a joke. So I got an agent who said that they would send me the part that I needed I would pay the shipping Another joke I'm not a vacuum repair man They need to take care of their product which they don't. So after the next call I got a supervisor on the line who said they would replace the entire vacuum however I still have to pay the shipping and I have to cut the cord off the vacuum and send them pictures I was very leery of this. So I did what they asked I cut the cord give my credit End this email stated information After they received the photo they sent me an email showing that they used my credit card. The kicker of the whole thing also is I was told I would get the vacuum replacement in 2-3 weeks Another joke. Back to the email The email stated that they have the right to change the shipping and they also have the right to change the vacuum however the vacuum would be changed to an upgrade. However the vacuum did come very quick I didn't wait 2-3 weeks it was only a few days which was great. So I opened the vacuum put it together used it Through the box and the packaging out it garbage night. After using the vacuum a few times I noticed that it didn't have a light it didn't have features my old vacuum had so I looked this model up And it retailed for $169-$179, That certainly isn't an upgrade it's a downgrade So I called the company And they basically are giving me the runaround like they were in the beginning with the vacuum. Now they deliberately sent me a cheap vacuum and they want me to go to FedEx to buy a box to send it back to them remember I've already paid to have it sent to me. I don't feel like I should pay again for something they did deliberately. I've called numerous times and each person tells me the same thing that I have to send it back to them now I've already cut the cord off my old vacuum threw it out which I knew I shouldn't have done that I was gonna end up screwed over by this company and that's exactly what happened even though my vacuum wasn't in working condition I was still screwed. So my next step is going to be calling my credit card company and the better business bureau and any other place that I can pass this information to. I'm not 1 I'm not one of those people that's going to get screwed over those people that's going to get screwed over, If it's an upgrade it's an upgrade and you need to pay to ship it to me and take care of getting the old one back it's not my responsibility

Don't believe the Shark robot vacuum ads. They are highly misleading. The problem is with the app. When I tell my robot to clean a given room, sometimes it goes to another room. When it cleans a room, it will go over the same areas several times. Additionally, when I called to exercise my warranty, the rep refused to do so.

I purchased online a Shark Rotator vacuum model Nv680 order ******* on 11/30/22 for $214.55 and received email confirmation for the same from Shark. On Dec 2 I received in a badly smashed box not the Rotator vacuum I ordered but a Shark Apex. I do not like the Shark Apex. If that's what I wanted I would have ordered it. And most appalling is the fact that they did not bother to contact me for my consent for this switcharoo. It was not a mistake by an order filler because the packing slip clearly said Shark Apex on it. When I contacted Shark on Dec. 2 around 2 pm I did not get an apology and we'll straighten this out right away. I got a response that it would go to some team to be sorted out time frame unknown. On December 4 I have not heard anything from this team. I want to be assured that the vacuum I purchased Shark Rotator NV680 is immediately being shipped to me or that a complete immediate refund has been issued to me
