“If I could give her 10 stars, I would!”

She's an amazing injector. She takes her time and never over injects me. In fact she said that she'd rather be conservative because she can always use more fillers and Botox if I needed after a week or so. In fact, once I Had her do filler on me. She gifted me some Botox to complete my face...Even though I didn't ask. She truly cares for her patients. She always gives me huge discounts and loves to share samples of cool new products. I've had many injectors over the years. She's the most skilled one. Go to Simplicity MedSpa. You won't regret it!

“Simplicity MedSpa Gave Me Scarring”

Ava K.
12/5/17

Debra Tri and her Simplicity MedSpa took no accountability for what she did to me. I am only writing in my opinion and in fact. Debra Tri denied ever doing any wrong or anything that she did to my face. I would tell anyone who is considering to going to a small business like this to do your research and to know who you are seeing. I have a permanent scar that I will have to live with for the rest of my life. Since Debra Tri took no responsibility for me think to yourself if you want to risk being scarred or anything else and having her take no sympathy for you.

I have used facial fillers for many many years, and after my board certified Plastic/Reconstructive surgeon retired I came to Deb Tri at Simplicity Medspa based on a friend's recommendation. The results of my visit is one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I knew what I wanted (various facial fillers). Deb put me in a chair and agreed that I needed fillers to replace lost volume in my face. She started injecting my face never telling me what fillers she was using, nor the amount used. After more then an hour she handed me a mirror saying she was done, and I noticed marked asymmetry in my face, pointed this out to her, and she then injected more fillers in the side of my face where I had less "volume." She then handed me the mirror again, and despite swelling there seemed to be an improvement - case done.

I went to the front to pay her, and that's when I almost fainted as she handed me a bill for $6100. 00. Never at any time during my visit did she indicate what her prices were, or what fillers she was using on my face or the amount used. I immediately questioned her about the bill, and she pulled out a small scrap of paper which I saw for about 5 seconds which had a list of between 5-7 fillers (I don't remember the exact number as I saw the paper for such a short time). I noted that the prices and the amount of the fillers used were not on this hand written note she showed me. She wrote the amount of $6100. 00, and when I stated that I had been using fillers for years, and never ever paid this type of price she lowered the price my $1000. 00 immediately bringing it down to $5100. 00. I then stated that my ex doctor (Deb is an ARPN) charged me between $2500-$2800 per visit she said "well maybe she was buying her drugs illegally from Canada" what the heck? Really a board certified surgeon who was a business partner of mine, and long time friend, would risk her medical license to make a few bucks - the statement was one of the most offensive and rude statements anyone has ever said to me. Additionally, I paid the same amount from other Plastic/Reconstructive surgeons for facial fillers so this wasn't an anomaly in price from someone I happened to know. I again questioned Deb and she again lowered the price another $100 bringing my total bill to $5000. 00 for facial fillers (I do know she used Voluma XL and Botox, but beyond those 2 I don't remember the names of other fillers used). My face hurt, I was in shock and paid her what I considered an exorbitant and unfair amount. If at any time she had told me the price of her services, and given me the option to either use her services or not, I could have made an educated decision. But as I stated she never stated the cost of her work, the price of the fillers she was going to use on me, or the amount of fillers she used after she was done. There was never at any point the mention of money. What would she have done if I didn't have the resources to pay this incredibly high bill?! To make matters worse I texted her today (based on my friend's advice who has gone to Deb before she told me Deb would answer my text), and she never responded. I used her site, tonight, to email her directly as I have asymmetry in my face and one side is much fuller then the other. This is a medical concern and has nothing to do with her over zealous charges, nor her lack of disclosure for her costs, and the names, and amount of fillers she used in my face. So tomorrow I will attempt to seek her medical advice about the asymmetry I have on my face, and also get the full information about what fillers were used, and the amounts which were injected into my face. This whole experience has left me most unhappy first, and foremost, I'm concerned that I have marked asymmetry due to her injections. Secondly, her complete lack of disclosure about costs, fillers used, and amounts used is highly unprofessional. Third, the fact I contacted her today, and simply left a nice text asking her to call as I was having a problem, and she didn't return the call, is most concerning. What if I had redness, a fever, etc., and she has chosen not to return my call? I will update this review if, or when, I finally hear from her. I have been to numerous Physicians in the past for fillers (not nurse practitioners), and they disclosed everything up front, and their prices were 1/2 the price of this nurse practitioner. Secondly, I was always told in the past prior to injection what was being used and the amounts used. I was always told a price for the services, or an approximation of the price, and if the doctor got close to the agreed on price they advised me, and offered to let me spend more, or stop the service. I am accountable for being too trusting, and assuming that her prices would be commensurate with what I've paid in the past; therefore, I must be accountable for being lax, and not asking her what she was going to charge, use, etc. Even when I questioned all of this at the end of the visit all I got was a quick glance at scrap of paper with filler names on it - no prices, no itemized statement, no amount of the fillers used, etc. Without a doubt this is one of the most unprofessional medical experiences I've ever had in my life, and I would not recommend this individual to anyone I know. Lastly, the fact I've had a medical complication and she did not even call me back is by far the worse thing from this whole experience.

PLEASE SEE DEB'S RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW BELOW. I will directly quote the pertinent part of an email I received from her today. Any potential customer can decide if this is the type of medical provider they would like to see. After coming to Simplicity Medspa and being treated by Deb Tri I've had a terrible outcome. My face is asymmetrical, red, and swollen. I need to be on antibiotics, and will have to seek care elsewhere for the asymmetry. At the time of the visit I was provided with zero documentation, and not given a price for the services. I had no idea what was injected into my face. I began calling the owner of this spa the day after treatment going so far as to try and contact her through her own website where there is an area to send her a text/email directly. I finally got in touch with her 4 days later only because someone I knew gave me her cell phone number. I sent pictures of my face, pictures of my attempts to contact her on her website, and she has done nothing to resolve this issue. When I asked for a refund (due to the additional medical costs I will incur and the harm done to my face) her response was "what about my costs" - really. I have a swollen, red and asymmetrical face and all she cares about is money. Never come to this spa the owner has other reviews where patient's concerns were ignored - buyer beware.

Addendum - Deb Tri's Response to my review -
You can find multiple reviews about Deb Tri and Simplicity Medspa Google, Yelp, Birdseye and Dirty Scam. In Deb's response to all bad reviews she either denies any damage, is not accountable and blames the patient, or the denies knowing the patient (odd as there seem to be quite a number of patients that gave her a bad review that she doesn't know). Since Deb Tri loves to place the blame on the patient I will copy and include the parts of her email where she demands that I remove my reviews to receive any of the money I spent for this debacle. The quotes below are part of the email that Deb Tri sent to me today demanding I recant honest reviews in exchange for money. I'm appalled and distressed that a medical practitioner would go this far to avoid responsibility for a medical service which caused harm to a patient. This woman needs to think about her moral and ethical beliefs, in my opinion.

"I have to tell you that I really just want to be done with this nightmare as well. I am willing to compromise and send you a refund for my professional services. But not without you signing a written release that you will agree to remove your reviews posted on various social media sites, and agree to refrain from ever posting any defaming remarks on such internet social media sites about me, or Simplicity Medspa in the future."...
"Please let me know if you would like to resolve this as I mentioned above and I will take the necessary steps to have the release sent to you to have you sign it and also have a witness sign it. No refund payment will be made until you remove your reviews.
Once we have a signed release agreement, and you have removed reviews from all the various sites, then I will send you a check for $2500. 00 dollars and we both can be done with this very unfortunate and horrific experience. "

"I hope that I hear a response from you by 5 pm tomorrow, Wednesday, January 30,2019.

RUN AWAY from Debra Tri, ARNP! This was the most HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE! Debra Tri LACKS skill and is dishonest. I was left with hard BUMPS and LUMPS from Debra Tri's injections. I had constant burning and discharge from her injections. Debra Tri doesn't know what the hell she is doing. I went initially because it was CHEAP and I didn't want to wait but honestly if you have to wait a year to see an MD then it's better than going to this awful woman. This woman couldn't inject a target with a red dot even if she tried.

Debra Tri injured me and gave me unflattering injections that were lumpy and bumpy, don't take the chance that your body might reject a foreign substance. I want warn other women of the devastating effects of UNSKILLED injectors like Debra Tri who uses fillers and chemicals that dreadfully scarred me and I feel deformed now. Debra Tri injected me with way too much Juvederm and Botox in my frown lines and marionette lines. Debra Tri's back was turned and she also left the room before she returned to inject me. Any provider who LEAVES a room before injecting you be CAREFUL. Debra Tri also poked me about three times and kept muttering under her breath before injecting. I immediately inflamed with embarrassing bumps and welted overdone laugh lines, it looked horrible. Because I don't know what if she tampered with anything it is hard to know what this woman injected me with or what she decided to dilute or mix with.

Debra Tri REFUSED TO identify I had an injury despite the frequency of my visits. Debra Tri DENIED ever having any responsibility and she lied to my face. Debra Tri BLAMED everything and everyone, including ME, the patient for her fault in injecting me irresponsibly. Debra Tri is grossly NEGLIGENT and IRRESPONSIBLE. Because of Debra Tri I look freakish with hollow eyes, my eye bags fold when I smile and bumpy and uneven where I was injected. I have had Botox and other procedures before so I know what to expect but what I got from Debra Tri was on major insecurity to the next. Debra Tri has NO eye for aesthetics, and performs UNNECESSARY procedures that patients do NOT want or need. Save yourself the money, time, and stress, and go to a BOARD CERTIFIED MD who specializes in Plastic Surgery or Dermatology.

Debra Tri reaction to me was condescending, defensive, mean and so nasty when she didn't like what she heard. Debra Tri even said to me, "I'll just say I never saw you if you feel like you're going to talk about my services". Debra Tri kept insisting I looked better and what I had was exactly what "magazines" and "stars" have so I should be happy with the job she did. Debra Tri has a HUGE EGO and cannot take responsibility for doing something wrong. Debra Tri brags about knowing MD's on TV. Debra Tri does not know these doctors. Debra Tri goes to paid conferences and takes pictures CLAIMING to know them. Nothing qualifies Debra Tri as an "expert" except in her own head, her FAKE reviews which she pays for (Demandforce is a FAKE review site where she has her friends and family members post reviews, not real customers).

For those of you not familiar with WA State, even dentists can inject Botox if they attend a paid conference. Aesthetic medicine is no different, unfortunately WA State have little laws that require providers to have specialized training. It is difficult to be liable for malpractice in Washington State. Debra Tri has relied on that being able to run from clinic to clinic. Many offices consider injections not work doctor time and have a nurse doing the treatment. Aesthetic medicine should have the attention of a cosmetic surgeon, dermatologist who knows what they are doing. Debra Tri like to boast how long she's been a nurse. Debra Tri has had numerous problems with patients and colleagues leaving her to run a practice by herself. Even nursing students made complaints, "(Debra Tri) not a nice person, students know who she is before they have her as a teacher and have only heard negative statements about her". - Everett Community College Nursing Student. Debra Tri's last job was instructed staff to call 911 if Debra Tri was on premise. Debra Tri has run from Ambrosia MedSpa, to Radiant MedSpa, to now "Simplicity Medspa" and changing locations to prey on new victims.

Debra Tri is a FAMILY PRACTICE ARNP, not an MD or PA-C who is a board certified Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist. Debra Tri would NOT be able to work as a Dermatologist or open a clinic of her own at an actual hospital or ACC's. Debra Tri does not have the admission privileges, cannot do surgery herself, other MD's do NOT consult with her, and she lacks experience in residency and surgery for Plastic Surgery or Dermatology. Debra Tri doesn't seem to REALIZE family practice does NOT equal hours of residency and medical school in Plastic Surgery or Dermatology.

Debra Tri is the most unethical and unskilled injector out there. Debra Tri is dangerous and should be stopped before she destroys another persons life. Debra Tri cares about money, not her patients. Debra Tri takes ZERO ownership. Debra Tri fails on all scores, she's arrogant, inexperienced, and a poor explainer (educator) to basic questions. Debra Tri is in for a QUICK CASH GRAB. Debra Tri will present herself as an "expert" to skin, hair, and other issues. Debra Tri does not have specific credentials and training in many of the areas she is promoting. Do not waste your hard earned money with someone who does not respect you and will BLAME you and LIE about injuries like Debra Tri!
