These candles are amazing. Not only does the smell last forever but they are beautiful colors. The people are nice too. The older man talks a lot but is very pleasant and a great salesman. I would definitely recommend there candles and melts to anyone.
Smell So Sweet Candles is the worst online retailer I have ever done business with... bar none. I had befriended one of the owners Online and discovered the business is family owned. I wished to support them but the person I dealt with was not the person who eventually wrote me a nasty and threatening email. That person was as insulting as she could be. The six 24 oz. Candles I received each had 4 wicks! They were never ordered with 4 wicks nor were they shown on site or spoken of. Having done business with Yankee Candle for over 40 years as well as other retailers through the years, any 24 oz. Candle I've ever seen has only 1 wick in it! The jars I bought anywhere were the typical apothecary type one sees everywhere & suitable for only 1 wick! Smell So Sweet Candles chooses whatever jars they have on hand to make theirs & claimed they needed 4 wicks to burn properly! Since the owner I dealt with knew I had been a Yankee Candle customer for years and wished to compare their candles to those, I had arranged with him to keep track of and rate each of the candles and kept copious records on all of them. They charge for shipping no matter how large the order and I was not going to spend another $40.00 + to return them so I found an alternate way of burning them. Out of the six, there was only one candle that worked properly and on a follow-up order, I chose only those. They actually sent me 1 wick candles in the SAME jars as the 4 wick candles! Apparently they don't need 4 wicks to burn properly after all! Their candles do not last nearly as long as compared to Yankee Candle burn times of between 110-150 hours for a 24 ounce candle. I had told the person I was doing business with that the burn times offered by Yankee Candle were fairly accurate! I eventually found their site to be below mediocre & describes virtually nothing a customer should know before ordering nor do they show the type of candle I received. Their scents are faint & do not last and they charge more than Yankee Candle! In my opinion, this is sub-par merchandise as compared to the many other candles I have purchased and burned in over 50 years of doing so. When I answered the nasty emails sent by a person I had never spoken with before, I was threatened with a possible lawsuit and was ultimately accused of all manner of falsehoods. I have reported them to the BBB and the State they do business in. Further information has now been sent to both. Beware!

Products used:
I burned the candles they sent and found only one type to be at all useful. That was the type I placed a second order for. No scented candles were desired or ordered. From the receipt of the first order I could not understand why anyone who knew what they were doing would place 4 wicks in those jars. At that point I voiced my preference for 1 wick candles since that is what I am familiar with, saw in the marketplace and always purchased. Since the jar type is always left to them, I had suggested they use a different type of jar for a 1 wick candle but they did not do so and placed only 1 wick inside the same jars they claimed needed four wicks! I had placed two orders and each would have cost me over $40.00 to return. I could not see any sense in spending over $400.00 for the two orders and not get some use from them. I would have had nothing in return. I had liked and trusted the person I met online. After burning two of their candles I could see that they were not up to par. Since I am a business woman and knew two of the owners were almost my age and retired, I wished to help in any way I could and while thinking it over, decided to compose and send a list of suggestions for them to utilize if they wished to. I hadn't wished to insult them however, that list was apparently misunderstood completely. That list and the fact that I am a smoker (The second order consisted of 6 Smoke Eliminator candles which I thought worked well and which she now claims is the reason I cannot smell her candles!) and more was used against me as an excuse for their own deficiencies. I find it beyond strange that I can smell every other manufacture's candles as well as the Incense I am fond of using from any room I am using in my three and a half room apartment! I've even been accused of "Marathon Burning" their candles which is ridiculous and was never done! As already stated, copious notes were kept on each candle and included burn times. I have taken photos of a few of the candles after burning them and each has about 3/4 - 1" of wax left in them that cannot be used. The wicks are totally burned out so they cannot be re-lit. Every candle I have ever bought from other sources and burned had a marginal amount of wax leftover but I've never seen anything like this!

The woman complaining has gone to every possible site including the BBB to complain and all her outlandish accusations have been dismissed by everyone. She placed 2 orders in one order she ordered them with 4 wicks in the other order she ordered them with one wick even though she was told that was too many or too few wicks for that candle size. She constantly compares us to Yankee but Yankee uses soy wax which burns hotter and doesn't hold the fragrance as well and they use different wicks than us. Yankees candles are more expensive than ours as well. She complained about the shipping cost so she was not charged for packing the candles so they would not break or tax on both orders. She was also given a $5.00 discount on each of the 6 candles in the second order as well as was sent a free small candle. By the woman's on admission she stated that our candles lasted 5 days and 56 hours (why she put it like this we do not know). Which is a total of 176 hours which is also more than Yankee says theirs lasts for. We use double to triple the amount of fragrance in our products (depending on what they are)that is suggested to be used per ounce. Our fragrance is mixed in with our wax as well where as the majority of major candle companies wait until the candle is almost solidified and then just add a dropper of fragrance in the middle. This woman was never insulted or threatened or disrespected in anyway even though she claims she was. She was informed if she did not stop trying to tear down our company with lies we could possibly consult with our lawyer to see if legal action should be taken. It also fully states on our website that we get our larger jars at random as they are hard to find and we like to get different shapes and sizes to make them more interesting so we can't post pictures of them cause we never know what we will have. She just happened to get both orders that had the same jars as we were able to find 20 of them at one time. This customer is just upset that she tried to give us business advice on our company that she knows nothing about and was told we would not be taking her advice and that is when the complaining started.
