I have all but a positive experience with Sorel brand. I discovered the brand at the local store. I tried their winter boots Whitney Short II and they were so comfortable I bought them right away. I enjoyed my boots over the winter and i remembered the brand Sorel well since their size 7 fitted me like they were made for my feet. After that I bought Explorer II sneakers online. I was super happy with them as well. Very good quality, very stylish and waterproof. Then I ordered Explorer Blitz stride lace sneaker for the Summer. Got so many compliments and again the fit was great and they were very comfortable. I went on vacation and spend most days in them but walking was no issue. It was like walking on the clouds. I am really happy that I found a shoe brand I can order online and be sure it fits me perfectly without even trying. Few days ago ordered again, online, this time it was sandals, Kinetic Impact II Sling Low. I hope they fit me well and I am looking forward to trying them. Sorel please continue making great quality shoes and please don't change size 7 molds :). JE

I love the way my Sorel boots look that I bought about a month ago to get me through the winter. It's only November now and they are already falling apart. I am worried they won't even last until spring. Other brands can last me multiple years, this is disappointing for the price I paid.

Brand new boots never worn sat in closet for 3 years. When I brought them out to use- the upper rubber completely fell apart. Sorel (Columbia Sportsware Co) would not honor the defect because it was over a year old since purchased.

Don't buy their shoes or boots. They are expensive and I expected comfort. All I got was pain. I thought they were leather boots but unfortunately they are made out of a cheap, man-made (in China) material. I wore them once and will never wear them again.

Paid $200 for winter boots. Only wore them a few times and they are literally falling apart, the rubber lower section is disintegrating, while the leather uppers look brand new, because they almost are. This company used to sell quality boots, now it's just imported garbage. I will never buy another Sorel product.

Great shoes, but your Logistics department is a mess and the only thing that is worse is your customer service department. Besides, not delivering the goods that were paid for, It took 4 weeks for the customer service to respond that they do not have a solution to the matter.

Its a shame that such a great product comes with such a horrible business operation

Sorel received my return of shoes got email 12/28/2023- they will refund my money
It is now 1/10/2024 and my bank still has not received the funds- they looked back and have a refund that was rejected and sent back to Sorel because they put in the wrong bank information when they sent the refund so my back sent it back to them- since it didnt match what they had for me-- i explained this to sorel and he said there was nothing he could do for me- that my bank needs to pay me the money. They dont have the money- he disconnected me since he said that we could not come to a conclustion- so SOREL still has my money and is refusing to resubmitt the refund --

The boots I purchased fell apart with in 3 months; defective! I sent them back to their warranty department; they said they were unable to fix them. They are issuing me a e-gift card they I have to spend with them, for another pair of worthless boots. AND they didn't refund me the $14.00 taxes I paid or the $14.50 I spent on returning their defective product! DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY WITH SOREL CROOKS!

Sorel... Buyer beware.

Ordered a $80 pair of slippers from them. Got notification from Sorel that they have been delivered to my PO Box. Went there, and no slippers, and Post Office says they never received them. Got home to another notification that says I picked them up...

Called Sorel. After 34 minutes on hold, listening to their horrible hold music and incessant messages telling me how many people are ahead of me and informing me each time, of their 20 to 30 minute hold time, I finally got to speak to a human who, after I explained the situation, said they would turn it over to their investigations team and that it would take a few weeks to resolve...

I said no thanks just refund my money since you are unable to deliver the slippers to me. They said they can't do that. I said fine, I'll just cancel the transaction on my card...

At that point, they threatened to "blacklist" me from buying all of their company's products... I told them to shove it, cancelled the card transaction, and here I am writing this review.

You want to be treated like that? Go ahead and buy from them.

UPDATE: It's been a month, but still no slippers and Sorel has my money and refuses to refund me.

USPS investigated and admits that they mistakenly informed me that they had notified me IN ERROR that the slippers were delivered to the Post Office and picked up by me, and now they are saying that two postal employees spoke with me about the package (they did not) and that the package was handed to me (it was not).

Sorel informed me of this investigation and the results therefrom, in an email to me. When I asked Sorel to show me the proof, they refused, and told me that I need to file a complaint with USPS. Sorel says it's out of their hands completely once it has left their facility...

I pity the poor person who has to deal with Sorel in the future. They do NOT care about their customers. They have my money and I have no slippers. I hop they go out of business soon.

I accidentally chose wrong size so I called immediately to change my order. This company sucks beyond measure. They keep you on hold on the phone for 2 hours and 46 minutes in a cue with a message saying you're moving forward only to hang up on you after you leave a message. The chat feature online never puts you through to anyone. I will be sending back my order and never buy from them again.

Would not recomend Sorels at all purchased 2 pairs with in 2 months they were both ruined - There response send us both pairs ( I pay the 100 for shipping) and after 4 weeks we will send you a credit so you can shop here again. First they no longer are selling the boots I ordered Second costs just as much to ship back, and they don't even care I'm spreading the word DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I have purchased my last pair of Sorel boots. They have fallen apart just like all the other negative feedbacks have said. Shame on you Sorel. Maybe you should bring the manufacturing back to the USA.
We know how to make better rubber here. That way you could offer a warrantee that lasts more than a year. You sold out to the Chinese way. Good styling, but garbage quality.

Company is refusing to reimburse me for unworn boots that are defective. One shoe is tighter around the toe area than the other. I've returned them at my own cost and they have never been worn. I'll continue to share my poor experience because these boots are expensive and their customer service is poor. Buyers beware.

Boots are in prefect condition still, I love the boot but can't ware them because of the liner, the leather rubs on my heals, is there away I could get a new liner, or fixed some how. I have asked different shoe repair places and said they could not repair, and I have no reciept.

Granted, it doesn't snow often in Portland OR. But just in case, I've had a pair of Sorels tucked in my heated, dry garage for years. I've worn them maybe 10 times.
It snowed last night. I started to put on my Sorels, and large chunks of the outer rubber broke off on both boots, and on one, the stitching completely came apart on one side.
I know they're too old for a warranty claim, but they were fairly expensive when new. Given the lack of wear and the care with which they were stored, there's no excuse for this.

Apparently it's Policy not to edit orders even if they're made in error, or with wrong information on them, regardless of whether they've been shipped or not. I ordered purple toddler boots, every part of the process showed purple boots in the correct size. When I received the confirmation email, It showed blue boots. I called immediately and they're only resolution is to place a return label in with the blue boots, instead of just sending the correct boots. Winter will be over before their resolution process would be complete, and they refuse to cancel the order as well.
Absolutely do not recommend supporting this company. The most absurd policies I've ever heard.

Shoes were aesthetic, chic, and comfortable. After less than two months after purchase, water penetrated my "waterproof" shoes from the toes area. I returned the shoes to Sorel to get a replacement and they were received 8 business days ago. I haven't heard back from Sorel about when I can expect to get functioning boots back. I paid good money for a quality brand, but now I don't have waterproof shoes in rainy Vancouver until further notice. I am disappointed. Also, I can no longer review the product on Sorel's website since it's been more than 2 months from purchase, which is ridiculous.

I order a pair of boots Emelie - short lace. Fantastic material and design, and to be honest the is very comfy. BUT! After less than a month inside thought starts to falling apart - they should work more on these things such as material.
I contact CS, send pictures of the damage and they offer me to collect shoes and refund the money. I order another pair of a different model. Warranty on these is 2 years - so any problem contact them and they have to refund you money. This is way too expansive shoes to have issues like that...
They gave me 10% discount on my next online shopping ( its not a lot but at least its something)
Once again, CS is really fantastic!

I like their comfortable shoes, however shopping online for shoes isn't an easy task especially some Sorel shoes reviews says run smaller or larger than actual size... it was my case! They were bigger than what I expected so needed to exchange them when I got the return label via email, I noticed that they were charging me $6 for the shipping! Their shoes aren't cheap! I couldn't believe they don't provide free exchange or return! So I'm spending hundreds of dollars and was willing to shop more but they totally lost me at $6 shipping. Sometimes it's a small things that turn me off!

Ordered my first Sorel shoes 3 days ago, got them today on the 3rd day. Very happy with it, love them. I read reviews after placing my order and got a bit scared to encounter problems but to be honest in my case everything went smoothly.

Sorels look nice and rugged. However... The quality of workmanship is terrible. My top of the line snow boots ($250+) fell apart on the same day, like magic. The plastic soles on both feet cracked, and the upper seam which appeared to be sown is actually just cheaply glued. Of course they are made in China, home of the cheap fake goods. There are so many other quality made boots you should buy before wasting money on Sorels

Ordered boots that were defective online. Sent them back at my own expense to be assessed. Heard nothing for 6 weeks. Get an email saying I have a $100 credit. The boots were disposed of. They cost $197 +tax and shipping and ARRIVED DEFECTIVE. Whole thing was horrendous. They were a special Christmas gift from my mom that took her hours to choose. Will never buy sorel.

DO not use their warranty service. Horrendous

I have 5 pairs of Sorel shoes from the last couple years. Love them so much. Ordered new shoes and ordered the same size as always and it was over a size too small. The material was TERRIBLE! Same price and horrible quality! So disappointed and wouldn't order until they prove the quality is back.
