Hi, I am an age pensioner and have my disabilities. I am already listed with Specsavers for my glasses for $ 39.00 and though I might as well make Specsavers my provider for my hearing as well. Everywhere else one has to pay the basic fee for the supply and maintenance of the hearing aids and the batteries. I was pleasantly surprised when the staff member told me that Specsavers even pays the basic fee of around $ 47.00 p/a. Please pass this along to other pensioners.A. Timmer
Never again will I ever go to specsavers Waverley Gardens shopping centre. This is a member choice service. For private health insurance providers. The staff is rude. The waiting time for your glasses is well over the estimate day or week they tell you. I am very disappointed. That I'm still waiting. Shame on you people...

Really bad experience. Booked an appointment to get there on time to then be told nothing I can do im late have to reschedule. The best is to be told by the manager that even you book an appointment this never guarantees you will be seen. Specsavers really have to train their managers and explain to them about their job and learn to be apologetic yo *******@Specsavers Clarkson

Tip for consumers:
I have been around along time (87 years) and only found out this week that a bargain can be obtained by Specsavers. Never too late to go and ask!!!!

As an Age Pensioner I made Specsavers my hearing aid Provider.
Specsavers maybe cheap but as far as value goes they are a waste of money.
Their service is non existent and their product is rubbish - specifically glasses.
Bought my glasses from them just six months back.Reading with them gives me a headache. Their long distance glasses are equally disfunctional.
Would stay away from them and go to a proper optician

Incompetence and ignorance at a high level!
Be aware people.
Went there recently due to a sale on lenses.
I had my own standard frames and chose sunglass frames from them, had my eyes tested and paid for transition and multifocal lenses combined for my frames.
For the sunglasses I chose brown polarised and multifocal lenses combined.
I must say that I have never had multifocals before and was impressed with the marketing spin that was shown to me on their tablets.
I have attached a photo of the multifocals I chose, with the widest clear window view for the close up vision. The premium and standard appeared too narrow for me so I paid the extra money to ensure I had the best and widest field of view as shown in the photo.
The sunglasses arrived first and I noticed immediately that the left wasn't as clear as the right, and that the close up vision was nowhere near as wide as shown in the attached photo.
I have drawn on the photo exactly what I can see clearly, it is disappointing to say the least especially for the money I paid.
I was told that it would take 2-3 weeks to get used to them.
Well the next day I called about the left lens not being as clear as the right and was booked in for a second eye test.
I was told that the left lens was in fact better than the right and that was that, " it will take some time to get used to them ".
I went to a different optometrist the following day and found my prescription in writing was correct but what was in the lenses themselves were different.( A report was written by this optometrist which I forwarded to management via email with my request to cancel this order)
I called Specsavers and attempted to speak with the owner Sachin but he would not return my calls and requests for a cancellation and refund via email were also ignored.
Very very unprofessional behaviour.
I have contacted Specsavers customer complaints late on Friday and will update this review as soon as this horrible experience is resolved.
Specsaver 2 for 1 offer interested me. Went along chose a frame $299 was told I would get 2 for that price.
Asked for transition lenses for 1 of them. Told I was up for $100 extra. OK say I. Was talked into an anti reflective coating for $20. Reluctantly OK. Had to pay upfront. Paid $396.75. A lot for a retiree but for 2 pairs acceptable.
One pair arrived. Why not 2 like you promised. Oh, you only paid for 1, the second pair have mysteriously vanished like a fart in the wind. Got abused by the sales person for not understanding the situation.
She tried to politicians double talk with a view that if you say nothing over and over again my confusion would be allayed. I will never darken their doorstep again. I
Will spread the word to the honest people of this world
Great to have a business give such an efficient and very friendly service experience. I went to the Mornington store. From the receptionist to the Optomitrist, with glasses from $39 incl. Lenses, I bought 2. Very happy.
I bought 2 pair of glasses 450 dollars
I had problems with seeing with them
I told specsavers Rosebud about this
And they keep putting me off till the 3 months time limit is up
Not happy at all

The optician and eye check was excellent. Then came the process of ordering the glasses. Did I want this extra, or that extra, or this eye visual range... for perfect range for top dollar price. After choosing the best range, the glasses arrived, and had limited vision. They would not redo. Said my eyed needed to adjust. Following year went to their opposition - PERFECT vision, cheaper price, better service. I does not take any extra effort to mold the lenses regardless of choice, so why ask double/triple the price? If the glasses has blind spots at best range, then should it not be fixed? Replaced? And if the opposition can do it perfect and cheaper, is not your name a lie? Go elsewhere - not SpecSavers.
Good site, easy to navigate and complete with helpful hints and info. Plenty of choice and good price points.
