This is the first and last time in my life dealing with this business. I place my order paid the money. They said item is shipping same night. After two days I called them and ask about the status, saying itam is on hold. I was dealing with those ladies from customer service and wasted my time. This business is just $#*!. So Iam not recommend this business for any body. Please don't waste your time with this brainless people..

You can't understand or use their online store, and it's super expensive. Not happy with the service or quality of merchandise.

Their Beat A Price Guarantee is a lie. They do anything to get out of it. I have spent thousands here over the years for them to not match, or beat by a penny, an identical item from a competitor by $25.

We have used Summit for several years- their service is definitely down lately. The last 2 orders placed did not get shipped as we were told- we had to call to see about them.

Clutch went out in my 07 rx-8. I called ACT to purchase a clutch and they advised me to purchase from Summit as they were cheaper than buying from ACT directly. I thanked them, and then called Summit Racing. After speaking to their salesman James, he informed me not only did they have the part in stock, but if I placed the order before 10 pm that my order would be shipped that day. I went online later that night to purchase it, WHICH ALSO SAID IT WAS IN STOCK, and would take 3-5 business days to ship. I placed the order, 5 days later, no email ever received, I checked my order status to see where it was at. It still said estimated shipping 3-5 days. I contacted customer service, and after 15 minutes was told that it wouldn't be expected to ship until the week of Feb 5th. Even tho I placed the order Dec 26th. I was stuck out of state, missed christmas and new years with my family, and summit does not care about their customer. They told me they would cancel the order and I would receive my refund in 3-5 days. 4 days later I checked on where my refund was, and they told me I needed to WAIT FOR ACT TO CANCEL THE ORDER. Summit stated if ACT doesn't cancel the order, then I would have to pay full price, wait until the part ships, then return it myself because, "We'd have to eat the money if they shipped it to us" quote from Customer service manager Zak. This company would rather the customer get bent over and rammed from behind then to give you your product or your money. I have never ordered a part from here, and never will again, and will continue to advise others to avoid this company.

Summit racing is horrible any more. Ever since they relocated their headquarters to Texas; nothing is in stock, items are discontinued, but yet still In the catalog. Costumer service is awful! Good luck if you have a problem with a order...So sad, the place was top notch at one point...
I have been a Pro Shop member for several years. The savings seem to have been significantly reduced recently. Promotional sales are frequently a better deal.
I have been promised a "call back" on several occasions from sales persons - but not received one. I then would call again and start all over with another sales rep because the original person could not be reached.
Today I encountered a sales representative who perused my request to the
Fullest extent. I am very pleased with his effort.

Bought engine and after running it, engine had a couple leaks. Summit says only internal parts are warrantied so I have to eat cost of fixing leaks. No quality if they can't build engines that won't leak.
Tried to have a price match done, Summit said the competitors item was out of stock.
Found a competitor who had the item in stock, Summit matched their price, but the item was out of stock for Summit, when it showed it was on stock, I received an email saying delivery date would tentatively be Sept 15. Over two weeks out? Shameless, looks like Jegs or Amazon will ge the go to for orders.

The first competitor who was out of stock was 20$+ cheaper than Summit, who wouldn’t price match due to out of stock.

The second one they sent me. Had a cracked case.
The third one they sent me did not have second.
The fourth one they sent me did not have second.
I had two different professional mechanics install it.
I'm out the installation fee times 4.
I have a truck that does not have second. Please stay away. Please do not waste your time. Go somewhere else.

I ordered a clutch from these guys almost 3 weeks ago. They were amazing shipped next day free. That's why 2 not 1 star. However I called to ensure part was correct well the one I had in cart was correct they changed it for wrong one. Honest mistake I still would have did 5 stars until the return. My car is at the dealership on the lift and I'm getting gouged for my car being on lift so I rush it back to them was going to get another from them until the price went up a thousand dollars. So I needed to order elsewhere so I check everyday to make sure return got there it did almost 2 weeks ago my car is still on lift and it seemed nobody would go extra to get my money after they "forgot" to refund me for over a week then tell me wait another 3-5 days! I'm my eyes my clutch was $1700 they have cost me 2k where my car is sitting because of them the right thing to do to get me to feel ok is give me the more expensive clutch for free as that is what they have cost me. I own a business and maintain a 5 star rating for 15 years by accepting my failures and making them right. I review good or bad I hope they rectify this so I can edit all review I'm posting. They are not bad but they really don't care what they did to me. Hope this helps

They have product for sale that's supposed ship within 10 days or so. It took 6 MONTHS to get this! Then they lost it as soon as it was in their hands from the supplier. They had to have it shipped again from supplier and when I received it it was the wrong quantity of product! Are you kidding me? I won't even bother taking this further.
When I emailed a specialist for my engine rebuild, the response I got took 3 days. The reply was cold, short and offer no insight. The replies always took 2 days each plus they would only answer some of the questions asked, meaning I would have to wait 2 more days when I asked again. Currently my order label was created and awaiting pickup by the carrier for the last 5 days. So I'll have to wait 2 more days to get a reply. Calling took 45 minutes on the phone and was even less friendly.
Also, promo code did not work and by the time they replied it would have expired.
I wish I has chosen Jegs instead

I have purchased three of the K&N Blackhawk Cold Air Intake system from Summit Racing. When I called Summit Racing about the tube having a manufactures defect, I was told that I didn't know what I was doing, He then put me on hold, to come back and tell me that the air flow sensor can be installed upside down. I explained that it can't be upside down and that the flange was welded upside down, and that I need a replacement. NOPE! That is what I was told. Call K&N and they will explain to you that that it can be upside down... I called K&N 3 days later (I'm busy), the K&N representative instantly knew what I was talking about, asked if I had the K&N box that was delivered, I said yes, he asked for me to read him some of the manufactures details from that box, and he said, we will send you a replacement tube, should arrive in 7-10 days... No worries about the shipping time, I appreciate the quality customer service and respectful manner in which this representative handled the situation. Summit Racing will sell you the same thing that you can purchase elsewhere, and will not help you past that point. They take your money, send you whatever, and then you are on your own from there... I will not buy from them again.
Ordered a part online. Realized it was the wrong part with a few minutes. Tried to cancel it online wouldn't allow me. Called the customer service department and she said no problem order is canceled be back on my card in 4 to 5 days... 12 hours later 11:59 pm I get an email from summit racing saying my part has shipped overnight shipping be here tomorrow. Called customer service its midnight they are closed. Robot system says parts shipped can not cancel 30% restocking fee and I have to pay shipping back to summit...

I ordered a front sway bar and fuel sending unit for my 66 Belvedere. Sending unit came and was not like the original, the one they sent had a return line I needed to figure out how to plug. I called and they said it was the right one and just plug the return. Also, my car has a 5/16" fuel line and the one they sent was 3/8". I contacted the manufacturer of the $60 sender and they had no reference to that particular number, they said it was probably a specific unit made for Summit. I will try to install it but told Summit my concern was if the sending unit was going to be accurate in m car. Second item I ordered was a ADDCO sway bar. Before i ordered it i did some research with ADDCO and found out it was a 15/16" rod when Summit advertised a 1 1/16". I called Summit and they told me if ADDCO says it is 15/16" then it is what they said and Summit catalog is wrong. Part came in a box that looked like something someone made in their garage out of used cardboard, and when i opened it the bar was scratched up like it was installed before. When installing, the ends were not aligned with the dropdown rods (the ends were twisted)? And they were not the same angle on either side. I do not send things back and got the bar to work. But for the money spent it was interesting. I am very dissatisfied with Summit, i have used them in the past with no issues but this was different.
Been ordering parts from Summit for some time but now it seems they are to big to take care of small customers. Ordered a clutch kit for a 1956 ford fairlane and the clutch release bearing is to small which all come in a kit. I talked to a Roger person and only got back talk and no answer to my question only that he told me how long he worked for his company. Waited 4 days and still no answer, done with ordering parts from summit until they hire someone who searches for the part problem and not his life story. Their are better parts companies out there and looking at reviews helps some what.
I ordered four shocks for my 69 chrysler 300 and they did not fit properly. The repair shop did not notice the wrong fitment until after they cut off the old shocks. Needless to say they made adjustments to all four shocks to make them fit and charged me for the fabrication. After speaking to customer service they said that they would have replaced the shocks but could not because they where modified to fit. The savings on the price of the shocks was eaten up by the extra labor cost. I will not buy from them again and would not recomend them to anyone.
Do you guys not review your shippers (GLS), my next order will be cancelled if you use them to ship my parts again. 58 reviews, only 1 has 3 stars the rest is 1 Star, does that not tell you their incompetent. I've never seen a company as unorganized as GLS shipping, I can't believe that a company like Summit Racing would use a shipping company with reviews like that or are you just trying to lose Business.
Have been using Summit Racing equipment for years, they used to be a customer service oriented outfit, always went out of their way to make sure customer was satisfied. Over the years have bought close to $100K in parts from them. Recently they just don't care, expect to be on hold with customer service for hours. I purchased a $2K air conditioning system from them and they got the parts wrong, not a big deal it was a complicated setup, but getting them to fix it was a 2 hour ordeal, and they made me feel that it was my fault for ordering it from them and charged me additional shipping. You can tell the employees don't care anymore and that is a sign of poor management. Going to drastically scale back on my business with them, have been using JEGS and ClassicIndustries more often now.
I thought my order would be simple: Order a radiator, hoses, cap and thermostat. Since it was a service truck waiting for this stuff I had them check stock before placing order. Everything was in stock and ship next day. A couple days later all showed up except the radiator. I called them up and asked what's going on? SR said it on back order for a month? I said wait you guys told me there was 12 in stock that morning when I placed the order! So a nice lady gets me a better brand and I explained VERY thoroughly this a service truck, I need it ASAP. No problem she said, its will be shipped next day, I will confirm with an email. Next day, I get NOTHING again. I called up, and its on hold because the original didn't get deleted. WTF! They have to wait to delete things on MY dime? In my opinion The Worse Company, I can't believe they are still in business. They need to overhaul their SOP on customer service. They don't care about their customers, its all about the money in my opinion. I will try JEGS or Autoanything next time
