This forum is wonderful if you need assistance removing any kind of threat (virus, trijan, spyware, etc) from your computer. Recently, a friend of mine downloaded -something- onto his computer that was disabling him from getting online and from opening any of his antivirus programs. My friend told me to go to this forum for him. Since my friend couldn't get on the internet, I did everything/downloaded the programs necessary onto my computer first and then transferred it to his via a flash drive. There were at least a dozen others requesting help at the same time we were, so I expected the wait to be pretty long. But a day later I got a reply and from then on it would only take the guy assisting us an hour or two to reply. So my friend's computer got fixed and I got a free dinner out of it (totally worth it, because I did nothing but ask questions, and the guy helping us did all the work, but I got the dinner haha!). Also, I just got a trojan last week that my antivirus picked up but couldn't delete, so naturally I went to Tech Support Forum. They responded two days later, and my problem was quickly resolved. Yay! I definitely recommend this website as the people there are knowledgeable and reliable -- cause my only advice to solve any computer-related problem is to 'restart the computer', haha. (And then your computer doesn't turn back on... And you look at me... BUT... IT'S NOT MY FAULT *hides*!)
I just received message that my account on Techsupportforum.com has been banned. I had asked a couple of their admins to cancel my account, and I also called the company and left a message for the same request. I had originally received a message from "Corday" who is apparently one of the admins. He complained that I had more than one account, of which I was unaware. His message was rude and assigned "Penalty" points. Previously, this person had replied to a question I had posted. This message was rather snotty and condescending. I send them a message on their company website, about this, then received another message from another admin, further assigning penalty points for being rude (I wasn't). I finally then called the company number in Ontario and asked that my account be removed. They then responded that my account has been banned. So, if this is how they treat folks that made a small mistake, then I'm thankful. Up until this point I found that their site was great, and the responses from other members useful and civil. Apparently their admins don't know how to do this. In the past, I had recommended the website to our IT department, and others since I also provide minor levels of tech support myself. No longer. I've dealt with those whose main job is tech and IT support for decades. While I do occasionally run across those whose social skills are sorely lacking, this is becoming less common. But not from this company I guess!

If you don't mind having overly loud video adds auto-play on every site, sure got for it. I find this behavior appealing. I never even got to their content because I was so mad at them for this practice, I even sent to complain to their web master, only to find that their CAPTCHA is watching an add with the code at the end. Clearly anyone this desperate for add dollars deserves none.
Someone else characterized the mods on this site as "Soup Nazis." That pretty much sums it up. You bow to the Great God Microsoft, or they ban you. Not much in the way of competent technical help or advice here.
Well I never thought you could splice a puter nerd and a neo nazi but this site provides them in spades.
Think soup nazi!
Freedom of speech is not valued, petty infractions and temp bans are common.
There are better tech sites and I head for them.
I posted several helps and asked a intelligent questions. I got this back from somebody, "You are a f****** idiot. You are a Loser!" After I replied with some of my own choice words, management came back to me with warnings and 5 demerits for "Flaming". Apparently there is no connection between one or the other. I still go there, but I do not recommend this site to anyone.
