“Not a good way to treat people”

My overall experience of the Bass Gallery, London is frustration. I've wanted to buy things from them, but they themselves are the main obstacle to that endeavour! They don't seem to know what they're doing. Poor communication is one of the obvious problems, which I've experienced on many occasions now. Either they haven't replied to emails at all, or given a part-reply with no follow up. I've emailed them about a new bass build in the past and the email was just ignored. Again, requesting some repair work - no follow up. A bass I wanted to buy - zero website information, with the ever-present 'information to follow' on most instruments, when the information never follows. Then I tried to buy a bass and it had already been sold but was still being advertised as for sale. The Bass Gallery has advertised other goods for sale that they don't have in stock and at the wrong prices! I've placed orders on items that say 'Add to Cart', paid for them, the money has come off my account, and I've waited for delivery, only to be told that there is a 3 month wait for the item to actually be in stock, and that 'we also need to check the up to date price and get back to you'. This is an amateurish way to run a business that wastes peoples' time and ties up the customer's money unnecessarily until refunded. It also means that they lose countless sales by sheer incompetence. Insanity.

Tip for consumers:
Be careful not to place an order and send payment until you're absolutely sure they have what you want in stock and that their advertised price is correct

I went in there with a 4 grand budget. They have some nice basses but the staff were more interested in their iphones and computers than in discussing what I was after. I could have bought a bass there but decided not too out of principle. They dont deserve my money
