I stayed on with them after their 1st reorganization and sell out to Left Lane sports. They made good on about 6,000 dollars that I was owed. I probably received one of their last checks in late Sept this year. I cannot fault them. Yes they were not forthcoming particularly this time which is not a good policy. I'm serving a client this weekend that I will never get paid for because it's important to have a strong reputation. www.bikebackcountry.com
Don't make the same mistake we did. I don't want to go into detail or it's just gonna make me upset. I travel all the time, and this is the absolute worst company you could ever choose to do business with. Rip off. I feel completely taken advantage of. Phone lines don't work, period. DON' T WASTE YOUR MONEY, and choose a proper travel company. This one is absolute trash.

Like many others who have already posted, I'm now out $5,700 for a two-person trip to Patagonia in Feb 2023 due to TheClymb's non-payment to the tour operator. I paid for the trip back in 2021 to take advantage of the discount and now I couldn't get PayPal to reverse the charge since it's over 180 days old. I hadn't bought trip insurance yet because I thought the trip was so far out I could wait until November. Big mistake. TheClymb offered my friend who booked the same trip store credit, but they haven't offered me anything. Regardless, how could you even spend thousands on gear when all their big ticket items are sold out? They're probably forcing many victims to take store credit so they can off load all their inventory before filing for bankruptcy. This is so wrong.
Tip for consumers:
Do not book any trips through them. They defaulted on many local tour operators and many people are out a lot of money.

This company still owes us more than 40,000 USD. As their service provider for tour services, we find it disconcerting that they are attempting to evade payment by fabricating stories about changing ownership and the like. We urge them to settle this debt promptly. Until this is done, their actions depict them as a fraudulent company.

Used to be a great site with some really amazing deals but they have sold out and now just offer nothing that is actually useful. They have no selection or variety. It is a total waste of time to even visit the site. You cannot navigate anything making it nearly impossible to use
I purchased a coat on Clymb.com. I received a Black & Red Pike Lake Jacket. On the inside,it had a price ticket that says DAMAGED STAINED!
I sent 2 messages that say they will answer back in 24 hours. Its now 48 hours nobody has contacted me?

NOT USED EVER . I RECEIVED IT JACKET STAIN WITH NO CLYMB PRICE TAG . IT WAS A MACYS TAG. NO RECEIPT IN THE BOX . I WOULD LIKE MY REFUND .I dont order refurbished clothing ,already stained .
I don't care how good the prices are if they ship via a dinosaur - something called UPS sure post. You're sure not to know where the hell it is or when it's getting to you, neither does UPS. Never again.
Avoid at all costs! I am supposed to go Peru through the Clymb Adventures in 4 weeks and was informed by the local travel agent that the Clymb never paid them. They basically stole $4000 from me. All my phone calls go to voice mail. I see several other postings just like mine - looks like they are using this money to stay in business.
Posting again about my Peru trip they haven't paid the tour operator for...
They have had a week and they just keep sending me emails with empty apologies, excuses and little else. They offered a refund, and despite sending them my phone number, they just keep emailing back with apologies and asking if I want a refund.
If you're dealing with the same issue, please file a complaint through the BBB and the FTC.
I purchased an adventure trip through them that is supposed to leave in 2 weeks. I learned today they haven't paid the tour operator and now I have no services unless I pay for everything myself.
The Clymb's phones go directly to voicemail and so far they haven't responded to any emails.
I had used The Clymb twice before for adventure trips and had no problem - great itinerary, price and local guides. But I just heard, like others, my upcoming trip for September had been cancelled by the local operator due to non-payment by The Clymb. I'm out significant $. I hope they pay the operator so that the trip takes place; otherwise, I hate to have to take legal action to attempt to get my $ back.
Refund purgatory. These guys are the absolute worst...shipped me the wrong item, I returned it, they received it (and have probably resold it)...40 days and counting since they got it back and still no refund. They won't answer calls or emails. They suck!
Tip for consumers:
Their refund policy is full refund, but in reality, don't expect anything.

I booked a trip to Norway with them and they called to say the trip had been canceled because not enough people had signed up. They sent me a follow-up email saying that my refund would be processed in 10-15 days. I thought that was a long waiting period to get my $4,500 back, but I was nice about it. It has been a MONTH and I still have not received it. I have called and emailed and they just say over and over that they will send an "urgent" message to the right department. I had to file a dispute through my credit card company and the time I have wasted on this is infuriating! We have used The Clymb previously and have always been happy, but we will never use them again.
My friend and I paid the Clymb $899 each in October 2021 for a trip to Peru for September 2022. Just a few days before leaving for this trip the beginning of September 2022 we received an urgent email from the tour company saying the Clymb had never paid them for our trip —- and that if we wanted to continue and take the trip we would have to pay them directly
So now we have paid twice for the trip it was too late to back out because we would've forfeited our hotels and our airline reservations. Now we are trying to get refunded from the Clymb and they are refusing. The only thing they offered is to give us credit in their store for $899 and you know what that means the markup on stuff is so high they would probably get off for 200 or $300.
Now they are blaming PayPal, saying that PayPal has strict refund date limitations — even though I do not use PayPal I always pay directly with my charge card.
But The Clymb channels their payments through PayPal so we do not have a choice. Regardless PayPal gave them the money and they never paid the tour company.
There were a few people in our hiking group that had the same experience some people actually bought this trip back in 2019 and paid the claim then and they still have not paid the local tour company in Peru for their trip and they were faced with the same thought options that we were either to cancel and lose all their money or to pay double again take the trip and try to get refunded from the Clymb.
Tip for consumers:
Do not do business with the Clymb at all —- not for outdoor gear outdoor clothes or their adventure trips
I sent 2 pr of shoes back in Aug. I chose the "In Store Credit" because they were going to charge me $8 to get a refund. Three months later, I still don't have my credit and they are now not responding to my emails.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE CYLMB!
Do not book a trip with them. They are a third party and have not been paying the companies for years owing thousands and thousands of dollars. Your trip will be cancelled and when you try to contact them they will not reply to your emails or answer calls or call you back. RIP OFF AND INEXISTENT COSTUMER SERVICE
ZERO STARS

Only wore 2 week and toe started to separate. Now I have to deal with sending them back and choosing another pair from oyshous e.com
I found some Mizuno shoes on The Clymb recently and they were over 50 percent off, so I bought them. I have had the older version of the same shoe for a long time, so I needed a new pair, and I knew which size. If you don't know your shoe size, I would recommend going to a store to try the shoes on before ordering from The Clymb since they may run out of the correct size for you if you order the wrong size and then try to exchange shoes. Their sales do not last long, so you kind of have to snatch up the sales that you find, because they have limited quantities. However, if you are looking for great deals on expensive outdoor/athletic wear, this is the place to look. My order took from The Clymb took only 2 days to ship and then it took 4 business days to get to my house. It isn't the fastest shipping, but it was free because of a deal that they had when I ordered. I was totally satisfied when I got them. The Clymb had also added a couple of coupons and samples of a variety of things in the shipment, which was a pleasant surprise. If I need to order some outdoor gear, then I will probably use The Clymb again. I recommend buying from The Clymb if you like deals and you don't mind spending a while looking.
One of my absolute favorite websites to shop! Great selection of products, super customer care. Highly recommend.

Love theclymb.com. I have always had great experiences with them. They offer some of the best deals out there for outdoor and active gear and clothing. There have been no issues with any of the many orders I've placed and they even offer a discount off of an order if it is going to be later than expected.
Great high end outdoor gear as well adventure trips. Check it out!
