“The Content Authority: the best on the web!”

C A.
7/13/19

I've been writing for The Content Authority for nearly a decade- since a few months after the company opened. From my experiences, the staff is reliable, straightforward, and fair. Although I've had very few difficulties with clients, the staff has always been helpful. I've found the majority of clients are enjoyable to write for, reasonable with their requests, and pay fairly for work. I've been freelance writing for almost 13 years, and would give TCA an even higher rating if it was allowed.

Top Critical Review

“Poor UI and poor writing quality”

Shayne T.

Writing this review from the perspective of a content orderer. I've tested over 5 content writing services and The Content Authority is by far the worst. It was also the cheapest so I guess you get what you paid for. The dashboard design looks like a early 2000s era website. It did not allow me the flexibility to bulk manage my writing orders efficiently. I had to search and download my orders one by one. There needs to be a serious revamp on the UI front to something more modern. Next, the writing quality was terrible. Simple grammar mistakes all over the place, sometimes ineligible sentences, poor titles, and bad writing structure. The writers cannot follow simple writing instructions. For instance, my instructions said NOT to write about "How to find a good locksmith" and the writer submits an article with that topic. Content Authority suggested I simplify my instructions for the writers. Don't know how I can make it any more clear than that. But given the writers obvious foreign and poor English, I guess pictures would be better than written instructions. I would not use this website for content and don't recommend it for anyone. It is the cheapest around so there's that.

The Content Authority is a great website at which to order content, and it's also a great place to write if you're a responsible, high quality writer willing to invest your time into producing quality work. They have a commitment to quality that is unrivaled and some of the best writers on the web, with several ordering options, such as direct orders to handpicked writers and rewrites of original writing along with their standard content. Rates are reasonable and turnaround time is generally excellent. It's a great site for anyone needing to purchase quality writing or for writers looking for a place to write that pays writers weekly.

It started when I stumbled upon his article that rambles on and on about the difference between "unredeemably" and "irredeemable," words that are allegedly often mixed up. Being that one is an adverb and the other is an adjective, the entire article was doomed to foolishness before the end of its first sentence. The author, oblivious to his false premise, is blissfully unrestrained by rules or convention. It might be laughable if not so disconcerting. His pedantic rant includes endless bad example sentences, exhausting strain to sound academic while paradoxically doing so through elementary-school level prose, presumes to present practice exercises and a teaching guide. Intrigued or stunned by the horribly written and factually wrong nonsesne, I was driven to learn more about this Content Authority, which is staffed by a global army of crack writers who have provided brand-defining content to "thousands of entrepreneurs" worldwide. Wow, I thought, I may have missed my calling... If thesupermodelauthority.com is available, I can become the president and CEO overnight, leading the world's premier band of supermodels, redefining the face of fashion for millions of designers in every corner of the galaxy.

Tip for consumers:
Great site for a writing instructor to use in class to have students identify the various editorial, dedsign, and factual problems. Would be a valuable learning tool. Excellent example of bad writing and boring website design. Not to mention unconvincing, bombastic marketing style.

Products used:
None. The website itself informed me that the products being peddled are nonexistent.
