The author of the blog has a very unique way of introducing the very best of all aspects of youthful talent. This blog covers young movie stars, extraordinary young singing artists, the very best of Broadway musicals, fine arts, not to mention his excellent coming of age movie and book reviews. His ability to include guest authors and air a live radio broadcast enhances and adds to the uniqueness of this site.

This for me is the best site dedicated to coming of age films, which is a vital resource for me as a filmmaker. I myself have been featured on the site and have found its creator to be a wealth of knowledge on the genre and has always been very helpful for my own research. The interviews are very insightful and in-depth and i'm so happy that the site continues to grow in popularity, as well as expanding to other types of media such as the podcasts.

I just found this website and it has some really thoughtful movie reviews and blog posts. I would like to put my vote in for Whip It as the coming of age film award :), I will await the awards posted on the site. The site has a unique combination of information which celebrates and promotes the work of youthful talent from around the world. Reviews there are concise and resonate with me much more often than not. One of the best places to go to keep up on what's happening with Billy Elliot the Musical around the world.

TheSkyKid.com features Live radio, articles, discussion forum, audio and video clips, previews, introductions and reviews of coming of age books, short films, music and movies with a focus on adolescent development. The site has been certified as family friendly and is regularly monitored and moderated to ensure consistence of its content.

In addition to the usual reviews of films and youthful musicians which has been the staple of the blog from its inception, since last Fall the blog has been documenting the phenomenal growth of the Elton John/Lee Hall production of Billy Elliot the Musical as that show has grown from a London beginning to Broadway and Chicago and soon to several other countries. Several articles profile all the current Billys in those productions as well as highlight many other aspects of the show.

I am going to try to review http://www.radio.theskykid.com/ and not the skykid website itself, not sure if sitejabber will let me do that though. I found this radio station on the skykid website and it was so fun to listen to these young artists. I grabbed my nieces and they loved listening to it too. I just wish they had more photos of the boys that are singing!
