“Great service and staff”

Susan M.

I have had Toast. Net for 5 or 6 years. I live in Toledo. The Connection and speed are great. Anytime I have had an issue, even hooking up a new Smart TV, they have been helpful, courteous abd patient. Being 60 leaves me a little bit more in the dark on technology than others lol. I had a recent issue where my auto withdrawal for my monthly bill didn't ho through and they worked with me for over 25 days to get it corrected without stopping my service. Everyone I have ever been in contact with for any reason has been helpful, cheerful and polite. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

Sometimes OK, but at times, only a marginally reliable ISP. Sometimes is a purely time-wasting, blood pressure-raising joke. Have had several problems, most recently, an on-going issue with their wireless offering, MIFI 2200. Recently (last three days or so) contacted their customer service number, at my expense, re: a problem with MIFI. They do not have toll free number for tech support. They used to, some time ago, but no longer, apparently. Called them, and got partial answer to most recent problem. Still awaiting final answer by email. Stopped holding my breath! Frequent disconnects on MIFI. Very frustrating at times. Unexpected disconnects, etc. Their MIFI is on Sprint network. Toast claimed service at 50X faster than dialup, when I first signed up. Not sure that is or was ever true! NOT happy overall!

We live in a rural area that isn't served by any broadband service except satellite. Of the folks I know who use the satellite services, only one is reasonably happy with that service. She uses it for business and is willing to pay its very high cost. We can't afford that, so we're stuck with dial-up for the foreseeable future. Over the years, we've tried four different services, but have settled on Toast.net for two reasons; they are among the cheapest services available and they have good (free) tech support. Our service isn't trouble free, but most of the problems are local and beyond their control. However, when we do have a problem, they've been more than willing to help. The only real downside for us is there are limits to usage time per month and it's difficult to stay within the limits with our slow service. With the need to constantly update software these days to keep up with security problems we often run out of time at the end of the month. Our phone line's quality varies from fair to poor. On a rainy day like today, even voice communication is difficult. If you have dialup, I would put them at the top of the list for service providers, They also offer options for broadband users and we look forward to the day when it will be possible to step up to that service.
