Bought a large item on Amazon that I needed to return and the seller was kind enough to refer me to uShip. I did get a FedEx quote before listing my shipment on uShip. I quickly received a more competitive offer on uShip and accepted it. Never having used a shipping service outside of USPS, UPS and FedEx, I was a little intimidated by the whole bid process at first, but I had ZERO reason to be. It was straightforward, simple and saved me a ton of money.
The item we shipped was damaged and even though we purchased insurance through them they will not cover the minimal cost of the repairs. We didn't try to file a claim for the $9000 it was insured for, just enough for the parts to repair at $500 (not even covering our labor) and they denied claim. Great for finding cheap carriers but would advise not to get scammed by their insurance.

I have used Uship several times. I like that shippers can bid, and I can review their feedback and communicate with them prior to selecting the one I want to use. I've had nothing but stellar experiences and highly recommend! The prices are pretty reasonable and I get the item much quicker. I have moved furniture, heavy mirrors, office files, all through U Ship.
Through Uship we found Michael Story who professionally and collaboratively delivered a family heirloom to its new home. Michael worked with us to find solutions for a remote pick up and quickly delivered a rare and valuable antique to our home. I highly recommend and would partner with him again. Plus he's just one helluva nice guy.
New customer and I had a part needing shipped from Nebraska to Florida. Driver was responsive and communicated well. Delivered on time and as promised. All I would say is your service depends on the driver and you have some responsibility to accommodate the unpredictable nature of individualized shipping. Be flexible when at all possible and understand they are trying to book multiple loads and make a delivery schedule that is profitable for them. You will get better service in the end.

Makes shipping incredibly affordable. You choose your driver and can see their reviews so you know pretty much exactly who you are hiring. I ship furniture with Uship for a fraction of what it would cost me with other mainstream shipping services. The drivers are personally accountable as well so even though I still insure my items(for a very low cost) I don't have to worry about if the piece will show up damaged. You also have increased communication, why track a package(even though its available) when you can text message your drivers! I am really appreciative for this service, it keeps MY prices lower and more affordable for my customers when I don't have to charge 600-1000 dollars to ship a dresser across the country. So many reasons to like this company.
Our small business had its first need for LTL and ended up on uShip after a bit of research. The transaction went off without a hitch and the quote was within just a couple of dollars of the final transaction. I was most impressed with the personalized customer service responses I got when I emailed several newbie questions. Hopefully we are in need of their services again. I'll definitely go the uShip route in the future.

I have used UShip 3 times. My most recent experience was earlier this month when I purchased a bar from someone in Seattle and had it shipped to Orlando. As with my previous experiences, UShip was very easy to use and the shipper (Vintage Movers) communicated in a timely and responsive manner. They key to having a good UShip experience imo, is to manage your expectations and be a bit flexible. You aren't going to get daily communication from the driver. If they agreed to a specific delivery window, then they'll deliver within that window but you my not know exactly when until the day before. I haven't been disappointed and it's certainly less expensive than the big moving companies.

I shipped a very large picture with a glass frame from potomac, Maryland to southern FL. The people who came to my house were very professional and very nice. My son reported the same thing when the picture arrived as promised to his house. I would definitely use them again!

I truly appreciate this service. Communication is excellent throughout. The competitive bids are real time free market… Have used Uship 5 times or so - always honest and proficient operation… That being the case - It saves me lots of angst and the job gets done much to my liking.
I would use again and recommend. We have a couple of small pieces of furniture and boxes to move from California to Ohio. I was a bit nervous about doing this, but it went very well. Communication with the shipper was good. The shipper had good reviews on uShip's site. This was much cheaper then a traditional moving company. Everything arrived safe and sound!

This was my first time using uShip as I needed to get a few pieces of furniture transported from Arizona to California. I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent price. For my first shipment with Uship, I am very happy. After posting my needs, I was contacted by 2 shippers within an hour and another about an hour after that. I contracted with one of the first two, GBL or Golden Bear Logistics. The price was in-line with my expectations, and the timing was spot-on. Kyle was very communicative about his timing and expectations. My items - (two far-eastern statues withing about 200#) were well wrapped and arrived in the same condition they were when picked up.
I recommend UShip and GBL 100% and would surely use them again if needed.

A close friend passed in early December and she had an antique cabinet that needed to be removed from her apartment by mid-month. Original plans fell through and I had to scramble last minute calling several overly priced moving companies who would deliver in 2-3weeks! Found UShip online and although apprehensive, I created an account just to see what would happen. Within two days, I received an offer from a mover. With a 4.8 star, I decided to proceed. In three days, I received the antique cabinet without a single scratch, crack, or dent. I am so grateful to UShip (words cannot express) for making this experience much less stressful and reasonably priced for an item so personal and sentimental.

They will not stand behind what they do. They give you a bid to ship a package of certain dimensions and certain weight. I weighed the crate and measured it with the driver here. Two weeks later, they charge me an extra $200 and will not respond. They say that the package was overweight. Beware they are dishonest.

I was very impressed with the entire experience. They first, make it easy for you to place your ad/shipment needs on their website. You just simply complete the standard form they have online. From there, the long list of established and credible shippers are notified of your needs. You will automatically start receiving quotes from those that can provide service. It is similar to an auction, but in reverse. As you receive their quotes, the price normally lowers as each transporter lowers their quote to gain your business.
In our experience, the price started at $3600, however by the end of the five day bidding process, we accepted the lowest bid at a price of $2495.
The transporter was very professional. He would contact me at the end of each day and let me know his progress. There is nothing more that I could ask for!

I engaged in Uship's service to transport my BMW from a dealership to my San Diego home. Unfortunately, the experience was subpar – lack of communication, a significant delay in delivery, and the delivery occurring in the dark. Despite paying extra for coverage, my car arrived with a cracked back window. I reached out to the BMW dealership and they said there was no broken windows on the car. The shipper refused my claim, stating it wasn't their responsibility. I've contacted the BBB and plan to involve the district attorney's office in Austin, Texas. This seems like an insurance issue, and I'm dissatisfied with the service provided.

My car was supposed to arrive on 10/22…did not arrive until 8 days later no updates I had to call for the. Then when I asked for a credit for the inconvenience of me having to keep a rental an extra 8 days they told me their delivery dates are not guaranteed. No apology no updates why am I the one reaching out when you don't arrive on time. I would not recommend because they don't take care of their customers.

I had nothing but issues in trying to ship a motor using uship. To be fair, most of the issues were with the freight company that bid through uship, but when things went sour and the delivery and pick up were messed up, and I was charged extra on top of the original already paid quote, uship's customer service was not really interested in my complaints or making things right. It took a heated argument on the phone with a uship representative and getting hung up on to resolve the issues, that they did not want to take any responsibility for. In the end, the extra charges were refunded, but I will not be using uship ever again, nor will I be recommending them to anyone else.
