Valor Gutter Guards

We had Valor gutter guards put on the next week it rained 4 inches and our basement was flooded. Contacted the installer he said we couldn't judge from a rain that happens every 10 years! Guards say they handle 40 in.per hr. They don't! The mesh is so fine true nothing gets in but debris sticks on top of the mesh.

Hard to beat THAT combo! Local gutter installer talked me into the Valor Gutter Guards from Artesian Home Products. They were twice the price of his other product but he convinced me I would never clean my gutters again (you've see ads for gutter companies hi-lighting the idea people buy these to AVOID ladders) so I went for it. Big mistake. HUGE! I was getting my guard less gutters cleaned out once a year. This spring I had to clean off their guards 8-10 times. The screens kept clogging. Water was forced down between the house and the gutter which will lead to soffit and siding damage. And the balance went over the backed up guards and soaked my deck in sections under the clogs for days. I went to them. I was promptly called a "liar". I was told that the large stain in the pictures I sent was "just drips". And I was told that it was completely acceptable to expect to have to clean off the guards. The the employee that called me a liar even sent me a picture of a brush on and extension pole and told me I could use a ladder to reach the guards. Most of my gutters are 24' up. Now instead of an annual clean, I have to clean them off in sections a couple times a week in the spring (when our southern leaves fall). He told me that the gutters were taking (some) water away from the house and that is all they warranty. If it takes SOME water, the garbage 10 year warranty is null and void. Now I am out the price of new gutters plus the once they took off to accommodate this horrible product. And if I want WORKING guards from another company, I will have to start from scratch. Unless you only have straight sections of gutters and no corners AND have NO trees near your house, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!

Have had them installed 2 years ago and no problems. Leaf filter tried to charge 3 times as much.

I'm a gutter installer with 20+ years of experience. I've used/installed countless styles and varieties of leaf guard / gutter guard. Out of everything I've ever used Valor Gutter Guard takes the cake for #1 all time best on the market as of today 2022.

I've installed it on my house, my girlfriends rental propertys, father in laws house and my mother's house. It's honestly the first and only guard on the market to work on all aspects.

1.It's a closed loop system this means (no openings front, sides or back) This is differnt feom other high end systems like leaf guard or gutter helmet. Along with debris, I've seen birds and bees enter leaf guard or gutter helmet. With Valor NOTHING gets in but water.

2. There are other micromesh guards on the market. Valor is better then them all for several reasons. Most micromesh systems (when In shade) have trouble with moss and algae growth. Valors team of engineers put zinc into the frame which makes it moss/algae resistant. I've never witnessed any moss or algae on Valor. But on other micromeshs like leaf filter, moss is 100% an issue.

3. Other micromesh system are flat screened. Valor has raised s curve design on its frame. This is patented design. It slows water down and can handle extremely heavy rains. The raised s curve also keeps debris elevated off the screen. This helps to prevent debris from sticking and allows it self clean.

4. The frame on Valor is strong, far stronger then ANY other system I've ever come across.

5. Some houses (depending on ŕoof style and insulation quality) have trouble with ice dams. Micromesh gutter guards can make ice dams worse. Valor once again came up with a solution! Valor has an Optional Add on called Melt away. This allows the whole Gutter guard to heat up and melt away ice dams and snow.
