Veseys

Almost 5 weeks and still no sign of seeds that were supposedly mailed over 2 weeks ago... I paid $13.95 for shipping (expedited?) and they were sent letter mail (less then $2.00 for a few packages of seeds) Customer service is nonexistent after several attempts to at least have part of my shipping costs refunded. Not impressed!

I loved the beautiful colourful catalogues and the promotional deals were very attractive as well. HOWEVER many weeks after placing my order only some products arrived with an indecipherable invoice and no explanation as to why the rest of the order was not going to be sent at all which I found out by phone. Still no reason given. No planting instructions. Castor beans crushed beyond recognition upon delivery. Incredibly disappointed at what was expected to be a very positive experience. Days later I am still waiting for my credit card to be credited.

I ordered my seeds April 7th, they were finally shipped April 29th, however it is now May 4th and they still have yet to arrive at my door. I do understand that the Covid 19 pandemic has been a trying time for everyone, but this is getting ridiculous! Guess my green house will be unused this year.:-( I will NEVER order seeds again.

I recently received a very disappointing Veseys shipment of Hostas, Peonies, Bulbs, etc. Entire shipment (opened immediately) upon delivery was in extremely poor condition. Small, dried bulbs, very small Hostas and Peony "starters". Extremely dissatisfied with this order. Complete waste of my money. Will likely never, ever order from Veseys again. Lots of other better mail order companies and local suppliers.

I ordered several varieties of irises last fall, the beautiful pictures seduced me. I was concerned they were late so phoned Veseys and they assured me it was not too late. I planted them as soon as they came in early October. I have been waiting to see them this spring. All my other irises are up. My day lilies up about 6 inches already. My irises from Veseys? Not one is up. Not. Even. One. I spent $100 for nothing.

After placing wrong order quantity, I contacted them immediately. Got my reply more than one month. Won't order any thing from them. Totally waste money and time!

My plants spent weeks at a mail processing centre and many plants on my order died during this time. I am a professional horticulturalist and I can tell the difference between dead and dormant plants never ever order the romance cherry collection they send tiny seedlings in dry soil with very little chance of making it. Honestly they're lucky to get three stars I am not happy with the quality the pink honeysuckle said shipped as 18 inch branched cuttings one of them were 18 inches the smallest is 4 inches tall! Far from the 18 inches they say the bulbs were soft and don't have the best chance my raspberries and magnolias are the only acceptable part of my 400 dollar order. They don't even allow reviews on Google anymore because of the number of terrible reviews they've been getting this year. I hate to diss a local business but get your sh*t together by's.

Veseys does not include a planting guide with your order. Plant labels only say name, height & zone. Not helpful when you need to know spacing, light requirements, bloom colour & planting depth. Be prepared to write your own planting guide out, maybe while you're ordering & have the info in front of you. Apparently they've been doing it this way for 80 years & see no reason for change

This is not a good company to order seeds from. Placed my first and last order and I waited 2 weeks and still nothing has shipped. I emailed them requesting where they are at in the process of sending out my order and they replied with a copy and pasted email from their website; see attachments. Didn't even take the time to actually look into my order and respond. I paid $18 for expedited shipping from Canada Post and they haven't even mailed it yet. They blamed Canada Post for delays when it's actually them who is causing the delays, as the orders aren't getting shipped in a timely manner. As a seed/gardening company I expect more from them! Late seed orders=bad harvests, as customers cannot get started on seedlings etc. this is something they know! It's their business to know! They're only interested in money and not in actual customer service. If they cannot keep up with order demands then they shouldn't be taking on more orders. I won't ever be ordering from them again.

Their seeds are great and grow well but if you deal directly with Veseys when placing your order you will be highly disapointed. I was short shipped 2 items on my order and it took them 3 months to process the refund. I ADVISE anyone who want to purchase their seeds to go to a garden center and deal with them and leave the headaches to them. ALSO I have purchased seeds from MacKenzie seeds and they grow very well too so Veseys is not your only choice. My choice is to never deal with Veseys directly ever again and I will leave the grief and wasted time to someone else. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

All items over the years have always arrived alive and well. Seed germination rates have been very high as well. Don't care for the newer sites look as i preferred the older look more so docked it a star. Been using them for five years or more.

I placed an order in Jan./21 for seeds and 3 live plants (Haskap Bushes Collection, #*******). By the time Veseys sent the Haskap bushes, they had already broken dormancy (they were sprouting leaves). The stems of Haskap Bushes were so spindly and under-developed when they arrived that they failed to survive transplanting 2 of the 3 bushes died.

Veseys finally mailed the seeds but it was already May, so much too late to start the seeds indoors for transplant.

I contacted Veseys about the dead Haskap Bushes but they never replied to my e-mail.

I wouldn't recommend buying from Veseys.

I have ordered from Vesey for years with great luck on everything I have ordered. This year Vesey was over welded with orders and for the first time a few products ordered were unavailable. Thanks to a great customer service rep. Tracy Simpson I received most of my order. Vesey does what they can to make sure you are happy with their plants and bulbs.

I placed an order in March of this year (2020) and about 2 weeks later, I received an email stating they could not charge a bank debit card from the US so I asked them to cancel my order. Fast forward 2 months later, this month (June) out of the blue, they just charged the very card they told me they couldn't. When I called asking why 2 months later this would happen, they had no explanation. I did not receive our seeds either! I requested a refund and am now still waiting 3 weeks later, I have called over 4 times and am told over and over again they will refund my card but have not. I am extremely frustrated by a company that first states they can't accept my money and then just charges the card they refused months later, seems like fraud so I reported it to my bank. I highly do not recommend working with them, they are rude on the phone too. I ended up buying some amazing seeds from True Leaf Market and even with Covid 19 going on, they shipped out 1 week after my order.

Ordered seeds April10 advises they would ship in 14 days, 24 days later it was shipped via regular mail it still has not been received as of May 11th. Courier should have been considered as now I'm a month behind in my seed starts in my greenhouse. Do not order for this season

Do not buy from this company! I ordered several plant root from this company in the early spring. The roots for the ecinachea and strawberries looked miserable when I received them but I had bought good soil from Pic a Mix so I planted them along g with the rest of my vegetable seeds which I purchased from a different source. Out if all if those I have only one ecinachea about an inch tall. The rest never grew at all. They have been watered without fail every day. I will never purchase from them again and would not recommend them.

Last March 13 I ordered a number of items from Veseys Seeds ($210.97). Included in this order was for a Featherweight Slim Hose. Upon opening the box in which this hose was packed, I did notice that there was a "kink" in the hose, close to the hose guard. Yesterday, while using this hose, it burst... at the point of the "kink" in the hose.
I am writing this note to let you folks know that this happened and you might have other customers encountering the same problem. Obviously, this hose is useless and not even fit for giving it to our voluntary family charity.

I have dealt with Verseys for a number of years now and have always received my order in a very short time after ordering it. The plants bulbs and seeds have never been anything but very productive. I have even phoned and ordered things, and the very pleasant person answering the phone after pulling up my past orders to get the name of a very productive tulip, I wished to plant at my husbands grave site. Took the order and they arrived in a very short time in the fall to be planted. Keep up the great work up Verseys. You are making a lot of people very happy.

Do you like being gouged? ($20.95 for ONE peony root. Found Identical flower at local store offering TWO roots for $15.95)
Do you like pre-paying in January then waiting until end of May for your seeds? I'm still waiting! Do you like waiting for bulbs in the fall, calling Veseys and being LIED to that your order will soon be shipped? But instead, your order arrives at end of October before a snowstorm. So, of 150 bulbs I paid for - NONE produced a single shoot.
RUN AWAY from Veseys. They take your money months in advance, don't ship on time — AND to add insult to injury? Ship you crap you NEVER ordered. I waited nearly FIVE months on a pre-paid order. When it came? They substituted with crap that was CHEAPER that I didn't want and did not order. So: charged me a HIGHER price in January, then sent me cheaper stuff in May that I NEVER ordered.
VESEYS is HORRIBLE

I ordered cherry tomato seeds, and I knew that the Company is on the other side of the Country, so I ordered early, got the seeds, planted them and only 1 seed germinated. I contacted Cust. Service, and recieved a replacement and again, only 1 seed germinated. This totally mucked up my garden plans.
I had thought that it was my soil, however, if 1 seed germinates, then they all should.

I requested this order to be cancelled. Sent an email today early. The email I received was that the order had shipped. I had requested it be cancelled in September as these were fall bulbs. Refused. Now I have to wait until the package comes and ship it back. Please don't bother!

My snowblower has a total of 4 hours on it. THEY HAD THE MACHINE FOR 2 WEEKS BEFORE THEY LOOKED AT IT(IN FEBRUARY)? One of the cables broke and they had to order the cable in. This cable is a $30 part and they do not carry it... REALLY. I called again(3 weeks later), Eric said "Oh yeah the cable is here, we will put it on in the next couple of days." I had to get my driveway blown three times at a cost of $90 and 7-8 hours of shovelling out walkways... YES I AM SENDING THEM A BILL AND THIS IS THE LAST ITEM I BUY FROM THIS COMPANY... THE WORSE I HAVE EVER EVER ENCOUNTERED!

Two weeks and not even shipped yet. When I called them I was told two weeks to get this far was pretty good.
