Terrible company. Stay away!
Don't deliver their product on time and can't refund you money if you don't have UK account (but to take the money of course they can). I've order in advance Sim card for my UK Vacation, they said it'll take up to 4 days, it got to the address 14 days after! Didn't got to use the Sim card bc I wasn't in the UK anymore. They refused to give me back my money, each person say something else, a month has passed and nothing is solved. Go anywhere else just not Vodafone.
BTW- they'll keep answering you that they want to help and solve the issue, but everything is lies. Tried talk to them again&again (being really naive). Still lies and a thiefs. Don't do it to yourself

Tip for consumers:
Just for your peace of mind, don't buy Vodafone. Nothing is worth it.

Boas tardes,

Att,

Vodafone is a scam organization. Never have I been so discusted and disappointed with he roaming service. Contacting Vodafone is a waste of time and money and I advise to choose a different carrier to connect your phone.

They refered me to a debt agency without even telling me or contacting me about this so called "£30" I owed. I provided vodafone with proof from my bank statement of all my payments that I have always paid on time everything is listed when I rang them up and even the voda agent themself said they could see all payments are done and said they will take it off my record and will submit a withdrawal form. For a good 3 weeks I was getting harassed by the debt agency. I rang and spoke to 4 voda agents in those 3 weeks I was so distressed they kept telling me a form was sent it takes time to withdraw my name. I then ended up ringing the complaint team where the agent said "i'll be honest I cant see anyone submitting the forms that withdraws your name from the debt agency" they apologised and then submitted an actual form. And that was it I received no compensation for using my own hours and credit to ring them up each call taking 60+ minutes, not to mention the anxiety attacks of having emails and letters to me pestering me with warnings to pay. Even if they didn't compensate me, which they didn't, I just wanted to have an actual apology from a higher authority, to atleast have acknowledgment and a proper reason for how they treated me in this way. I was just told "action will be taken for agent but we dont tell you what happens to agent, sorry" thats it. I asked to speak to a manager they would not put me on a line to a manager, I asked many times they refused especially the last caller I had, no emotions in their voice. I spoke to so many agents and not one said the form was not submitted, they all told me it'll take few days, they clearly didnt check the system properly when I was chasing the status up on my form, until I made a complaint I only found out then it was not. Absolutely horrible!, I was so stressed I got debt letter, email and calls, harassed for a payment that ended up not even being an error on my side its just cause they. Couldnt locate my payment even though I had clear bank evidence it was sent to the place I always paid voda. Ridiculous. Honestly still feel so anxious just hearing their company name, never in my life have I been involved in any sort of debt agency chasing me. Since then I've moved to voxi sim, which I know works with them but I am in the process of moving to another network, I want nothing to do with them. I still am planning to take this possibly further even though its been a couple of months cause honestly thinking about that time was so stressful and I received nothing except a word of apology. They did this to me few months before this of an "unpaid balance" and then again I was told it was their mistake! Unacceptable how I was treated when especially when I was a customer who always paid on time.

In 2015 I tried using their services. After a while my online account stopped working. I rang 8 times and chatted online 7 times, for over 7 hours of my time. I was promised several things on the phone (1 month free, 3 months free) which were not in the notes and so never happened. In the end I agreed to pay an early cancellation fee. That didn't happen. Rang again, they found out they should have cancelled last month and then did so, without an early cancellation fee. Then they billed me, but didn't send me a bill. Then referred the account to a credit agency for non payment who emailed me. I then had to call about this bill that should not have been sent, and also chase to make sure my credit was not affected. And no word of any compensation for the amount of time I spent and stress it incurred. I will never use Vodafone again and urge everyone to avoid them.

Vodafone promised a 5 day changeover. It didn't happen. The next day I phoned them and the lady apologised and told me to get my screwdriver out and take the front off the wall phone connection and re plug the phone plug in the port on the right. Nothing happened and after an hour of confusion was told they would have to send an engineer out which could be up to 72 hours. After my strong complaint the lady said there would be an engineer out the next morning which did happen. The Openreach engineer laughed when I told him the story and he said they will try anything to save calling Openreach and their charges. Sad but true. Lousy changeover time to say I was already with them.

I have been a customer for over 20 years (ironically I chose the Samsung Galaxy S20 plus for my upgrade). Service was actually good up until this event. Their customer care is abismal. I tried to 'upgrade' my phone as per directions noting this would save me approx £10 pcm on my existing plan provided I return my old phone only to find after delivery I was now going to pay over 3 times what I was on before. Their story? I bought a second plan at cost (new number & no discounts) and retained my existing as sim only. THAT's what MY Vodafone account login was telling me. An upcoming bill of over £100! Despite telling them it was an upgrade with discount for my phone returned, they still insisted I return the phone and re-negotiate my Plan. ALL of this on their TOBi messaging system ( they discourage phoning them citing long waiting times). Looks like the discounted plan doesn't apply to long standing customers. The ONLY phone call they wanted to make was not to resolve my issue but to discuss a new plan... I'm now awaiting a returns package for my shiny new phone. I'll Never touch them again. They can't be trusted.

Since writing my first review elsewhere, I got this response from Vodafone:

Hi David. We'd hate for you to leave us after all this time. I'd like to take a look at the notes on your account.

Then that went into a repeat of everything that transpired twice before with no added satisfaction and even more time wasted and all via Facebook Messenger. All I asked for was a phone call and someone to tell me what they were going to do to put it right. Not this time folks!

Just to introduce yo, As Vodafone deal on a queue based system, you will be dealing with many people in a Facebook or TOBi conversation. In a single conversation I had (THEY initiated this), I spoke to; Al, Stephanie, Kieran, Daniel, Harriet & Bethan.

ROBBERY
Had a great conversation with Harry, he really did try his best, however when I asked for a PAC code given when I thought I was on a 12 month contract I was told it was two years and not 12 months.

Asked for a copy of the contract to be sent as my rights under GDPR, was told cant be sent our system wont allow it. Really!

I was on the phone for over an hour. After being told i couldn't keep the contract running. This is daylight robbery.

All I wanted was to run out the contact and have a different number. Told under no circumstances, no! Having been loyal to Vodafone for over 20 years it wasn't a great experience. I am now on line having to request all the information you hold on me and my Previous company. That will take some time and effort on your behalf. I have unlimited data on this contact. I will now attempt to use it to the MAX. This is really not how I wanted this relationship to end.

Vodafone is the worst telecommunications company as they will steal your money from your account and then send a letter stating that you owe them the same money.
When you set up a direct debit on a device plan they fail to take the money then threaten to send you to a credit reference agency even though the money goes through my bank and shows on my statement. When you try to resolve the matter of reinstating a default debit, it fails again then you have to make a manual payment that goes through the bank shows on your statement and they state no payment has been made. If you want a joyful, stressless service AVOID VODAFONE AS THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALTH WITH...

Dear Vodafone.
>>
>> I am very disappointed with the service and the attitude I am receiving from Vodafone. I have been with Vodafone for years! Firstly in South Africa, then in The UK and now in Greece and I have always chosen them as a service provider cause they have been good to me. But sadly in Greece I am experiencing the worst customer service of any provider of any sorts!
I had an internet line whilst staying with my gran. In June 2019 I asked to have the line moved to my new residence.
>> I was aware of the 15 day timeline to get the line moved. However the Vodafone technicians experienced many problems with the setting up of the line. In collaboration with OTE they must have visiting my residence approximately 6/7 times. The problems persisted and the line was only set up and running end September 2019! Thoughout this period I had made countless calls to Vodafone to try and fix the problem. A few times the technicians had even come to my house without being aware of the history, testing the line and saying that OTE was at fault as they had not connected the line from the box. My landlord had even stepped in and tried to assess and help Vodafone and to point out the box and explain he would be happy to climb up and do the settings. The Vodafone technicians refused and just kept lodging a file for OTE to come and correct the mistake! I have the proof forms of how many times the technicians came to my house!

>> Through this period, I enquirer about the internet payment and was told not to pay and it would be corrected. I agreed as I did not see the point in paying for a service I did not have.
When the issue was finally resolved on 27sep 2019, I called the call center to ask for the account to be adjusted and cleared for the months of July -Sep for which I did not have internet. They agreed and after speaking to the technical department they had assured me this would be cleared and taken off my next bill. However it is now Jan and the amount is still not cleared! I called the customer care line again and after a 30 min conversation I was told repeatedly that my account for those months would not be cleared! I would get about 30 taken off! This is really ridiculous! And I am very unhappy about this! How can you charge a customer for a service that was not available to them! How can your departments keep changing their minds and provide customers with incorrect information and treat customers so badly!
>>
I am 1 in millions for you yes! But I still don't think that this is a reason to treat me like this. It is unacceptable! I want my case to be taken up by a responsible manager! And I also would like to lodge my complaint further to your global offices should you not be willing to clear my account for the months I did not have internet!
>>
>> I am waiting your feedback urgently!
>>
>> Kind regards
>> Andriani

The issue that I have experienced was: Not even 1 star! People reading this please don't use Vodafone! Vodafone just stole the money. This is my story read it and trust me I moved out 1 year 4 months ago I called from a property Vodafone said to take the same internet with me when I move first bill was £68.90 I think it's ok to move and pay must + the next month the bill will be fine, why do I have to pay 68.90? When is my contract £21.50? He didn't tell me hi, i can't use vodafone because it's still in your name., I call vodafon, break down my previous zip code, answers: yes call me tomorrow. Sorry, it takes 48 hours to apply, please call me back. I'm sorry it didn't disconnect. 48-hour phone call, don't be angry, it will be disconnected on the 10th of next month, sorry, something is wrong, call me back on the 9th of next month and it will be disconnected. Then the following happens in November: - money is returned to your Vodafone account. Nothing happened, I'm sorry, the next installation will cost your Vodafone bill. Excuse me in the next 7 working days. Excuse me in the next 7 working days. The money is in your account. I was in the bank where my money is money nowhere. So people don't trust VODAFONE.

I signed up with Vodafone broadband and was surprised to find that everything went smoothly, with any technical problems sorted out on the phone in 20 minutes. So far so good.

UPDATE: Finally ended my contract with Vodafone and it turned out to be a. Nightmare. No service for three months and a total of five hours on the phone to sort that out (it was never sorted). I repeatedly asked for a termination of contract when all the tech solutions they offered failed. I eventually got a human being on the phone who could see the pages and pages of chat history and granted the contract closure. Awful company in a marketplace full of awful companies.

Having been sold a package and a promise from Vodafone i moved from BT and joined the company hoping my days of service problems were a thing of the past. (Not a chance). For weeks and weeks the service was unusable, and fault reports were made three times online and i spent hours with so called technical advisers attempting to rectify the ongoing issue. I became an expert at channel changing and rebooting my router dozens of times a day with little or no effect. Vodafone did no more so i terminated my miss-sold contract. I was of course chased for an early termination fee of £169.00 and obviously complained and refused to pay. Vodafone then reduced the fee to £69.00 which i also refused to pay. I then asked to escalate my complaint and awaited a response. The response i got was that Vodafone had actually fraudulently withdrawn £169.00 from my account although it had been cancelled. I reported the fraud to my bank and had the payment reversed. I have since had a report from BT open reach that there are ongoing and serious issues with the substandard and corroding aluminium cable still in use around the local area. There is a fault at the exchange situated at Hawkins road that continues, and a fault with the cable entering my property (now rectified). Not once did Vodafone offer to send out an engineer, and to this day although improved, my service still remains intermittent and unstable. Super fiber optic packages are there for, being miss-sold by incompetent providers such as this useless lot and i for one will not be conned by some uneducated and clueless sales adviser. I look forward to a response..

There are a bunch of idiots sitting in vodafone who do not understand the customers issue and are just doing small lip service for the sake of their job.

I have been chasing them to clarify the reason for outstanding amount since the last 4 months. Every time I get a bill, but no clarification.

I emailed all the previous mail exchanges to them. Have been getting a call on each email sent - but non of the rep took the effort to check the actual complaint.

All I hear from them is that I have to pay - Why? What for? How? No one has a clue.

They say they will get back with details, but never do.

Bunch of incompetent jerks

Vodafone won't give me the data I'm being charged every month for. I've complained in store, via phone, email, letter and live chat. They won't listen let alone help. All their incompetent staff have done is make matters worse by sending my account login details to strangers. Now anyone could have access to my bank account and my children's phone numbers, etc. When I complained about that they wouldn't even look into how they leaked my personal details. My details aren't safe with them and neither are any of their other customers.

I cant even deal with Vodafone. I honestly have not dealt with a more useless company before... they know how to send me bills and accept my payments but they have no record of my (their) mobile number, they do not have my account on their "new system". They sent my "account" to debt collectors because they cant match my payments to my non-existent account and claim my outstanding balance jumped from £80 to £250 in 1 month but of-cause none of the idiots on the online help service can explain why, the call center cant explain why and the so called debt collection agency cant explain why either. Does it get any worse than that? I am dumbstruck honestly.

I had to unlock a phone and was told it was on Vodafone network.

I went into the store and explained this and the lady put a sim in it and after a while said "no it's not Vodafone".

I went to C********* W********* and they checked the system and said it is on Vodafone according to their system but couldn't be 100% sure.

I took it to a place that unlocks them and they checked it and said it is on Vodafone, it needed connecting to the network.

I went back to the Vodafone shop and explained what they did. Another lady said to go onto a website and put the details in and it will unlock soon.

Luckily it did after a couple of days, otherwise the review would have been 1 star.

I'll never go back to them because they charged my wife £96 for a month after they didn't explain partial month upgrade wouldn't have as many texts etc available.
