Why is Xfinitywifi hotspot unreliable, undependable, unsupported? Why does every attempt to communicate with Comcast end up with us being hung up on or ignored? Why is Xfinity Comcast still in business if you hate customers so much? Business Customer, xfinitywifi works half of the time, rejects my access 25% of the time. In 5 years i have never found anyone anywhere who acknowledges, understands, or will discuss xfinitywifi service, why it sucks, can we make it dependalbe in any way on a windows pc.

30 days for $20. Of Unlimited Broadband with no hardware fees... that's not bad.
Trick is to have neighbors with their Xfinity Gateway xfinitywifi channel enabled (by default), secure & separate, 60Mbs or so,... then to actually buy the Pass with your browser.
Millions of xfinitywifi hotspots available.

This is the second time now that my contract has neared its end, and I have tried for a replacement package. Both times were nightmares, including countless hours on the phone with foreign agents who are difficult to understand. I was later told, by an Xfinity Store manager, Ryan, that these agents also have no power to fulfill the promises they make. That same manager promised a $50 credit, since I've been enduring this nightmare for weeks, and that credit isn't showing up yet. He promised it would "after 72 hours". Thanks for making this Covid-19 quarantine even more horrid than it needed to be. I am filing a complaint with the FTC.

They never provide the speed that they claim. When you call their service tech, they are new. Doesn`t know what they are doing, Start blaming the router, blaming for poor speed. Then they want you to purchase an Xfinity router and upgrade to a super speed connection. You pay the hire price and then still the slow speed. Then they blame you to change the wires in your rental apartment, Which you can`t. So then deal with super slow speed rest of your life with super speed charges per month. Go to some reliable and ethical service provider.

Good thing I just paid for 1 month only. It doesn't work. What a scam. I would give it no stars. My phone works the same as it did without it.

Xfinity is the worst by far in everything do not go with them they are terrible! They had me set up everything and still doesn't work after days with no cable or wifi they are no help and could really care less!

The Home Xfinity wifi wit 5GHZ high speeds this for anyone living the struggle is by far the best and most convenient way to go this alos involvezz the WiFi calling u can receive and out going your phone once Hook to the Xfinity Networks your DEVICE should most likely Enable the WiFi calling aromatically just check your settings and download all 4-5 can't remember apps tho. U want the Xfinity apps for your not work for edit changees u make to your Network meaning internet changes wit plan - change the name and password anytime for your Network in the Xfinity account app butt plz trust me now when I tell u this Xfinity wifi is just a simple and no Brainer way to go I have had the Xfinity wifi Hook up for about a week now and yes I was missing out before and now I get the better internet experience I save alot of money every month instead of shoveling out $80 for a month to month Mobile Network I will now only pay 9.95 a month for as Many lines as I need in my home speeds of the Network never slow down the connection r excellent

They have some good things going for them, but I personally don't like dealing with their customer service and I don't know anyone else who does either.

The first problem I had with them is when I left their service during Covid and decided to come re-establish service 30 days later. They told me they no longer have the same plan and that I had to send my modem back, wait for a new one, self-install a new modem, and pay them more money each month. I just did not want to do that. Seemed pretty dumb to me since I just had their service 30 days ago and the equipment and everything was plugged into the wall at my house. After some back and forth with them, they finally allowed me to keep the modem I had, but I still had to pay more money than what I was paying (I only left for 30 days) before. So, now, I pay more money than I use to:(

The 2nd problem I had involved a 2 work accounts I have with them. We do a lot of business with them, and one time, an employee of theirs accidently closed 2 of our accounts. He needed no permission to do this. Once those accounts were closed by the employee without any permission from us (we also were never late), we spent 4 days on the phone with several customer service reps trying to get the accounts re-established. No apologies or reconciliation was made on their part. In fact, they told us we owe them for the days we had service which needed to paid prematurely before they would allow us to get service with them. It was around $20 from the new billing cycle before they shut us down. We ended up having to pay the pro-rated money on our old accounts that they closed, send the boxes back to them, and wait for new boxes to arrive, and self install. BUT WAIT! If that wasn't bad enough, they flagged our accounts as possible fraudulent accounts--delaying the process even further and causing us to do even more work to have service with them.

My 3rd problem with them was during Covid. Their customer service was basically non-existed in the beginning. Again, they would hide behind their endless security questions and technology to avoid helping anyone. I spent hours trying to get through to someone during that time period.

Tip for consumers:
If there alternatives, think about them, but hot spot or satellite might be the only service you have in your area

After having slow internet with Verizon and after calling them about it. I started shopping around and got Xfinity internet. Verizon was charging $49 for 75 mbps and I am now paying $49 for 300 mbps. I tried T-Mobile and the router didn't work, they charged me anyway. I'm fighting for a refund they charged me for services I never got and products I didn't receive.

Tip for consumers:
It pays to shop around , same price, better service.

I have been using Earthlink cable modem service for at least 15 years or more but recently Comcast bought them out. All of a sudden my cable modem service is laggy as hell. I still get 70mbps on download from multiple speedtest websites but for some reason it is slow as hell surfing the internet even with a new computer.

I called Comcast about the problem. They said that there is no problem on their end but every Comcast/ Xfinity agents told me to exchange the modem to be safe.

To make the long story short. Comcast/ Xfinity force you to rent their routers with a built in modem for an extra $20 a month to get better services. When you connect your own router they deliberately make it slower.

To make it worse, Comcast/ Xfinity limits your connection speed with their cable modems, which was never an issue.

I regretted exchanging my Earthlink cable modem.
