3 years I used them with minimal issues. It's been 7 days since my employer transferred my paycheck to me thru Xoom. They have a tracking number they don't ever update since day 1. Their customer service is outsourced to India call centers, so they can't help with anything at all and are very rude. No one from Xoom has reached out to my employer or answered his emails. They literally stole my paycheck! DO NOT USE XOOM ANYMORE!

Paolo the rudest most unprofessional representative I dealt with in 6 Plus decades on earth. Horrible service 1 hour on the phone promises promises never lets the transaction go through and disconnects me with no explanation. Rude and disgraceful. With a million other ways to send money I will never use these horrible people or their disgraceful Representatives again. They should start by firing him.

First out of the blue they disabled my payment source it said wrong card type with both options debit and credit and wouldn't let me enter it. Then after two dozen transactions or more they disabled my recipient source it said wrong account number and it clearly was the correct number. Then they say it's an issue with the card issuer when it clearly was not. So I call to have my account deleted and they restricted me from using their service as if I did something wrong. No accountability just the runaround.

I tried my first transfer he was we found it then I tried again they charged my credit card and then I got an email that I was supposed to call to confirm my transfer if 240.00 that was charged on my credit card already
So they want to know why? To who? Why and the reason to send that money to a friend in Brazil. They are awful and this is ridiculous so I had my account all closed the money back to my credit card and spent hours trying to get them on the phone and then the phone call goes to another country, heavy accent you can hear this just young people deciding if you should have the transfer or not. So they canceled my transfer twice for no reason.

I tried to send $100 to a friend in Ghana who needed it urgently. I have done this before with no problem. This time Xoom first notified me that the money had reached my friend's bank, then a day later the transaction was cancelled, with no reason given.

A call to customer service yielded the following unacceptable answer: "Our bank partner did not give a reason for the cancellation."

Was it because the transfer was to Ghana? If so, that's absolutely disgusting! Do not use Xoom. It is a terrible service.

Worst experience using Xoom to transfer funds. They hold on to your money and send cryptic emails with no clear reason why they need to hold on to your money, sometimes for a week. Only way to know what is happening is to call. But they don't really have any answers for you. I feel completely at their mercy. I will never use Xoom again. There are better, less expensive apps out there.

I have used the service for many transactions but recently this has become a pattern. It has been almost a month and they are still holding my money hostage. Not everyone has a hundred dollars just laying around. I made the transaction almost 1 month ago now. I had to reach out to them multiple times via phone to speak to their customer service team. They all repeated the same script back to me on the phone and on emails, including the supervisor. I told them that when they have "technical difficulties" they should at the very least CONTACT the customer, it should never have been me contacting them first. Appalling service all round.

When Xoom works, it seems to work great. But if there's ever a problem, forget it! Xoom has nonexistent customer service! I used Xoom for several years to send money to the Philippines, but suddenly without explanation, they cancelled my account!

Paypal user for over 20 years. Tried to use Xoom, was immediately flagged for "security" reasons and spent more than an hour on the phone with them trying to figure out exactly what they could not verify. They refused to say exactly what it was. But my account is now permanently flagged as some kind of undesirable and all transactions I attempt to make are immediately denied with no recourse. Their so-called customer service is worse than useless. They waste your time, demand personal details that I am sure they sell off to data brokers, and do nothing to resolve any problems. The positive reviews have got to be shills, because I can't believe Xoom is even a real company. I've met Nigerian princes who were less shady. Avoid this garbage fire of a company at all costs.

Xoom sucks over a 10 years with them and they"re giving me crap after deducting from my bank account and still delaying my transfer specially all in emergency situations call customer service and not helping at all supposedly I have to use my debit card instead of my bank account nothing but a joke good bye

I initiated a transfer on May 2,5:08 pm. I received an email saying the transaction got canceled on May 2,11:30 pm. I initiated another transfer on May 3,8:45 am, as my previous transfer got canceled. Xoom withdrew $4000 two times and made my account to NSF. I was also charged $35 as an overdraft fee. When I called customer service, they kept on telling me to contact the bank for a refund and were very rude. When I called the bank, they informed me it was a genuine mistake from Xoom, and Xoom had to refund $35. The customer service representatives keep on repeating the same information again and again. They are not even trying to understand the problem. Very frustrated.

They lie about their transactions speed and the. Block your refund. I am cancelling paypal now as they promote zoom. Nobody answers calls! Not in French, English, German or Dutch. Go to pay send

They informed on their website they guaranty full refund but they did nothing. They just said we can not do anything as the money is transferred.

They keep cancelling payments. My boss has to call them constantly to tell them to pay me my money.

It gets frustrating and annoying like he has been paying me for a year. Is it not common sense to know its not working?

Send money thru Xoom from US to India. Got the notification that it is credited in recipient's account. I contacted customer service - It took 45 mins of repeated dials to finally get to hear a human voice at the other end. It seems like they have to check with the backend partner and confirm on the transaction status. Xoom could not give an ETA for the resolution. Service agent was so rude and abruptly disconnected my call stating there is no further update on this transaction.

I used Xoom after winning $700 on Draft Kings Sportsbook. I checked my account the next morning and they took out $700 instead of depositing it! When I called customer service, they said they do that to verify the account. So you take out my money to verify the account? What kind of sense does that make? I called my bank to put a stop payment on their withdrawal. I don't trust them and now never will.

My family send me money from usa to mx.Its been 5 buisness days and nothing again they got the money same instead but again hold it for ever so they can realize it. My family is trying to cancell now but are giving the run runaround. Its fraustrated. This is the first time I use this service and will be the last... if u guys need fast transfer this is not the place... they will take for ever... they dont transfer saturday or Sunday so now I have to wait till monday...

Please stay away from this site, they are full of scammers with deceit, if care is not taken, you will lose fortunes to them and they will block you afterwards. I lost so much to these scammers and they thought they could get away with my funds but i took actions on them after i reported my issues, i was able to get back my funds back and brought them to justice.

In order to transfer money from my PayPal account to my bank account I was forced to use Xoom. I followed the instructions and shortly thereafter received a message more info required however xoom did not specify what info. I tried emailing, I get assigned a case number and told someone would follow up but no one follows up. When i attempt to call the number provided the messages says too busy, call back and hangs out. This company is the worst holding My Money hostage and I have no way to retrieve it. Do not use this service or Pay Pal for enabling this.

Xoom is a great way to pay people in Latin America. They have relationships with the local banks so it makes it really easy.

When Paypal set up this wretched, woe-begotten, poor crappy sister company, they should have warned all its clients that they were the most poorly staffed, the most idiotic and equipped with the worst technology.

I have a payment, just 105€ from my Paypal account to my German bank account.
Can I set up the payment, no I can't.
I try twice and fail getting error messages, which are so unhelpful.
I should be able to pay the whole amount to myself, but... no.

I have to phone Customer Services...based in the USA...and only available Pacific Coast times...and then complete the payment. It takes 30 minutes to wander through the ins and the outs of setting up this wretched payment and then I learn about the payment charge. Does the Assistant know the exact amount of the charge? No of course not.

However I perservere and give over all the required details for my own account.
Payment made, credit in a day, honest.

No, no credit made.
14 days pass.
14 days later email from Xoom, we've stopped the payment because we don't have any details for the target bank account and we need proof of your passport details, nationality, date of birth, sending user address, receiving user address, address of the bank, etc, etc.

You couldn't make it up.

RESOLUTION never use Paypal ever, ever again.

I just sent money to Chile, per XE 1,297.000 pesos = $1,535.00 dollars. Xoom's exchange $1,596.00 dollars + $9.99 fee. Other companies like Ria and World Remit, were not so greedy. I do understand that they have to make a profit in the exchange, but $61! Mr. Schulman these are terrible times, do not take advantage of people's misery.
