I needed a resume that would allow me to get through to recruiters and get interviews, and not get rejected by the auto screening process. In addition, I needed a more concise LinkedIn profile to help accomplish the same thing. Hank C did a great job for me, rewriting my resume and LI profile. Both were well-written and the turnaround time was fast.
I purchased the $189 package with a $75 two day turn around on 3/3. On 3/7 I got an email that my Resume was just assigned to someone. I informed them that if this is just getting assigned, I would like a refund. No reply. I just got an email now on 3/8 stating that they just reassigned it to someone else. So, no reply to my email, no acknowledgement of my request, but time to pass around my order/resume like a "hot potato", got it. I do not recommend ZipJob, many other qualified and quality resume writing sites out there.

I invested $300 for the resume rewrite and LinkedIn profile edits, with the hope of achieving better results in the initial stages of job interviews. While I acknowledge the challenging economic conditions and the competitiveness of the job market, I had anticipated at least some modest improvement. However, my experience so far has not met this expectation.
I've noticed that the resume still does not format properly within systems like Workday, which indicates that it might not be effectively optimized to bypass algorithms. This optimization was a primary reason for my investment in these services.
I alerted the tech support team about the issue I encountered when uploading my existing resume, as the information was not being parsed accurately. Regrettably, when a resume writer was assigned to my case, they gathered incorrect details. To rectify this, I had to manually provide all my resumes and CVs separately to ensure the accuracy of the content. Additionally, the response time from the support team was quite lengthy, and by the time they addressed the matter, I had already completed the service.

A writer was assigned to me, to review & revise my resume, and write a CV and LinkedIn profile. I first was prompted to complete a brief questionnaire where I listed out accomplishments and basic work history. I was hoping that the resume would be crafted taking into equal consideration the existing resume draft, the questionnaire, and conversation with me. What I found, though, was that the resume and CV were pumped out at breakneck speed, with little thought given to content. In order to meet their "3-day guarantee", my writer spit out a version of my resume that was hardly different than the one I submitted in the first place.
After a quick round of reviews, I submitted the resume back with notes and revisions. Rather than read, comprehend, and critically think about the notes and questions I had written in the margins, they were simply added to the resume as bullet points, creating nonsensical run-on sentences and totally out of place items. After pointing that out, I got the standard "thanks for your feedback, we'll be back to you shortly" (paraphrasing) email, after which little to nothing was changed with the subsequent draft.
Overall, I got a decent resume, and they wrote a CV & LinkedIn profile that I otherwise would've neglected or written poorly. But the experiences left a lot to be desired. Definitely not remotely worth the price for what you receive.

I know it sounds harsh, but the reality is that they outsource somewhere outside of the US. most likely India. I wanted my resume tailored to a Director level position in Artificial Intelligence, but the language used did not have appropriate connotations and did not display relevant experience. Their customer service was good - as I was assigned a second writer when I expressed dissatisfaction at the first, but the second did not improve the verbiage. I am going to strip down my resume completely and rebuild it and recommend against using ZipJob.

I would recommend ZipJob for assistance with resume and cover letter writing. Judy was very patient and helpful during the process. She had some really good suggestions that helped to tighten up my resume. She also helped me craft a strong cover letter that offered the flexibility to make needed adjustments for different job applications. Resume and cover letter writing is not easy, especially when you're not used to the process and Judy made it much easier. ZipJob also helps develop the proper formatting and key word usage necessary to get through the screening process which can often be based on computer algorithms instead of human eyes.

The service was prompt and professional, from the initial contact to the subsequent correspondence to the phone call consultation that I added on, everything was done timely and professionally. Kevin, whom I worked with, provided an easy, readable format for my resume, and streamlined it for better ATS search. Kevin answered all the questions I had and was very patient. The products that ZipJob provides are second to none. The writer contacting you is a whole other story. I never once received any follow up or feedback from my writer, I always had to call the customer service phone line to see what the progress of my order was. Going forward ZipJob needs to provide service after the sale and keep your customers posted on the status of the package that they purchased.
Turn around time after first draft was more than 10 days! And the quality of the first draft was very low: inconsistent, unrelated, and a random copy paste from my letters of recommendation at best! Like an elementary school kid wrote it.
I emailed them to refund the money and they said "no refund".
The cover letter was written for the wrong job! I cannot believe it!

I was very hesitant to use ZipJob after reading some reviews on other sites, but my experience was great! While I wish they were a little more upfront about how their process works (only so many emails/changes within so many days). I had an amazing Resume within 72 hours!

Well thinking that I may have a fork in the road career-wise down the road I foolishly thought it would future proof my purchase by buying the Premium package for $299. Well, it turns out that means they will add whatever current job I am at to the end of the resume they created for me.
RIP OFF. Frankly, their resume and cover letter were average at best as well. Don't waste your money.

Hired this company based on all the positive reviews. Well, they must be either paid, or old, or something is off. I had to ask the writer to revise the resume several times (to include correcting many typos that I pointed out repeatedly). I was finally fed up and accepted the resume. I've applied to no fewer than 20-25 positions since mid December through end January. 100% have been rejected. I went back to zipjob to request a rewrite and was told I have to wait 60 days from the day I accepted the resume for them to do one complimentary edit. Definitely not the service I thought I was paying for. If they don't get it right, I will be submitting a complaint with BBB and if necessary, disputing the charge.
I imagine there are other more qualified resume writing companies out there, maybe a bit pricier, but I've learned probably worth it. I'm a mid-level finance professional if that helps add context to my review.
I was extremely pleased with my new resume and cover letter. Not only were they massive upgrades from my previous versions, but the entire process barely took a week's time. My expert was quick to respond and understanding of my needs and requests. I feel much more confident and comfortable applying for jobs with this resume and cover letter than I did previously.

The investment for a new resume was comparable to others. The process was timely, the resume is a good product and my views increased a little on LinkedIn, but navigating through this job market and how to best edit the new resume per job is where I need more coaching. That's not available.

Pros:
- They were responsive.
- They delivered the first round within a few days.
- I did acquire a tip or two from my phone conversations with the writer.
Cons:
- I bought their most expensive package and regret it. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten the same results from a lower-cost package. The writing is good but not great and I've had to correct/modify a fair amount of it myself.
- This could be my fault for not reading fine print, but I thought the pitch for quick results would have been based on the customer's timeline, not ZipJob's timeline. They sent my first drafts to me during a week in which I was on vacation and could not respond with edits and then closed my job out when I didn't respond in a week.
I believe it's a good investment to get professional help for resume writing, but would look elsewhere next time. Nothing special here.
