Struggling with the problem of loading a certain type of mobility scooter into a small car, I presented the problem to Ramp Champ, whose business offered several promising alternatives in ramps. We exchanged several emails, detailing weights, heights, loading gradients and price. Ramp Champ's Kristine even sent me a diagram. The upshot was that the honest advice she gave me indicated that the cost and difficulty of using ramps was just not a possibility in my case. I was more than grateful for not having wasted money on an online purchase; so, top marks to Ramp Champ. (No proof of purchase included as no purchase was made)

I thought it might be a good idea to have password protection as well as the convenience of automatically logging in to a range of websites... with just one password. So I surfed the web, found Keeper Password Manager, and thought I had signed up for a free trial. It was probably my mistake - but it was none too clear - and I found myself paying for a year's subscription. So, to make the most of it, I fed in all the websites in my records - 100+ - got Keeper to enter passwords for them, then found it ponderous (continually feeding in the master keyword), unworkable (the long Keeper passwords failed to override the existing website passwords), and I was in a mess. An email to Keeper failed to bring a response. So, I have spent hours re-installing passwords (Forget Password... you bet) and regaining some independence. Conclusion: Keeper is probably excellent for a business with a lot of valuable passwords but, for a home user, it is a lot of stress and a waste of money. I have now transferred all my passwords to Firefox storage with the exception of four banking passwords which I know and have concealed back-up for.

I live in Australia and selected the stockings I wanted at $38, postage free. I was not aware at first that this was $US... but should have checked. I began my order and got a message saying: "Congratulations. "You qualify for free postage". So I continued with the ordering process, including payment details, and went to the final check-out page. This was difficult to read, as boxes kept popping up obscuring the invoice. Eventually I was able to read that $US20 had been added to the $38 price which, with exchange rate, came to $80 Australian. This was too much; I could buy them cheaper locally. So I hit the delete button and did not confirm the order. Then two emails immediately popped up, confirming the order from Compression Sale, and payment from Pay Pal. My query to Compression Sale got a one line response... "We do not pay for postage outside the US", while PayPal said my complaint did not fall within the guidelines for any action by them. So the stockings have arrived, and there is no problem with quality. But I feel that I was misled into buying them and was not given the opportunity to confirm the order after being shown the final cost. Will buy from my local pharmacist in future.

I received the Meetup Resist email and could clearly see that it had absolute nothing to do with the Meetup charter regarding bringing people face to face to enjoy shared local interests. Further research showed that it was a misrepresentation to extend this invitation to join to Australian members, who might applaud its politically correct aims but were actually unaware that this was an attempt to gain support and numbers to oppose Donald Trump. I too am resigning from Meetup.
