  • Gucci

5/11/18

So after repeatedly stalking our local Gucci stores for this one particular handbag I've been coveting, I was advised that they won't be getting stock for months. I got impatient and decided to order it online at Gucci.com where they have it in stock. My handbag arrived lickety split within 4 business days from the Gucci warehouse located in Seacaucus, NJ. I'm ecstatic about finally getting my hands on the prized bag. However, the warehouse staff could have boxed up the luxury item in a more secure manner. The sides of the corrugated brown cardboard box was not sealed whatsoever... leaving WIDE gaps where liquids (rain) could have easily seeped in and resulted in damaging the luxury item. The box arrived with one side of the box half torn open as if someone pulled at it to peer at the contents inside. If the gaps of the box were securely taped, this would not have happened. Would I order from them again? Hmmmm... only if I was desperate and don't want to be waitlisted for a luxury piece. I sure hope Gucci management takes a look at this constructive review so they can make improvements in their shipping quality control.

The Gucci ankle boots I ordered from net-a-porter.com arrived in lightning speed... less than 4 days. And came in a pretty box and packaging. Unfortunately, they were a tad too large for my feet so I contacted them via telephone to start the return/exchange process. The gentleman I spoke with had such a lovely demeanor to him and he immediately put me at ease. The whole return/exchange process was easy peasy and I received my correct size boots in a jiffy! HIGHLYYYYYYYYY recommended over the other luxury online website ssense.com who is crap at customer service.

  • Mpour Collection

This is the first time ordering from mpourcollection.com and i'm all smiles =) the shipping from the East coast was fast, the parcel was wrapped impeccably with chic black tissue paper, and the merchandise I ordered was of impeccable quality and true to size. I highly recommend this reputable Canadian shopping site!

  • Express

7/10/15

This was my first time purchasing from express.com. I ordered an item in a specific color which they didn't have available in any of the local Express stores. The merchandise itself was superb and very flattering. I would have given this online merchant a 5 star review... however, I wasn't too impressed with the mysterious "International Processing Fee" that was added to my order amount. I've never encountered anyyyyyyyyyyy online retail merchant that would charge this unheard of extra fee. Ever. Sure looks like an easy way of charging extra hidden fees to me. Shame on u express.com.

Just received my 3.00ctw diamond vs2 eternity band from costco.ca today and it is simply exquisite! I've never purchased diamonds from costco before but have heard rave reviews about them being appraised for much higher, so I decided to give it a go. And boy am I glad I did. The amount of fire radiating from these diamonds is just breathtaking! I highhhhhhly recommend costco.ca for their wide selection of quality goods as well as speedy and reliable shipping. I received my parcel in just 2 days. And the ring was carefully packaged to avoid damage to the fine jewelry piece.

  • Marks & Spencer

2/7/15

I applaud Marks & Spencer for their vast selection in-store in the UK. It's too bad that a lot of the stuff they have available in-store just isn't available online. So far I've ordered a handful of times from them online and their merchandise is of exceptional quality. My fave item thus far is their genuine leather duffel travel bag... such a classic staple. However, I knocked a couple stars off cuz they used to ship to Canada for free for orders over $30+... but they no longer offer this now.

  • Allsaints

2/7/15

I have an affinity for allsaints goods but on my recent online order with them, my jewelry item was shipped haphazardly without any bubble wrap or cushioning to protect the delicate contents. Just lightly handling the dark grey corrugated box it came in, you can clearly hear the jewelry piece banging against the walls of the box which could have easily caused damage to the product. My comment to allsaints: For a fragile item that costs over $300usd, are you guys that cheap to overlook proper packing materials such as bubble wrap or foam peanuts? C'mon, show some care.

  • Society6

12/3/14

Excellent experience purchasing from Society6. The item arrived safe & sound in a timely manner. But upon opening the parcel, it reaked of a strong sour smell. I guess it could have been from the ink during the custom print process? Anyhoo, so far after popping the printed tank into the machine for a wash, the color's haven't run and everything looks fresh and superb... just like the day it arrived. So i'm a happy camper :)

After ordering from missguidedus.com over 10 times, i'm sorry to say I am no longer a customer of theirs. It's unfortunate because missguidedus.com used to be one of my favorite online website to shop at. However, no longer will myself nor my online shopper friends be ordering from their website as they recently they changed their shipping carrier. They no longer ship to Canada via RoyalMail. Now they use FedEx who is KNOWN to charge exorbitantly high brokerage fees for international packages arriving to Canada. I only ordered a bikini top on my last order from missguidedus.com that was around $28. FedEx charged me $27 in brokerage fees. Enough said.

missguidedus.com: if you're reading this review, your loyal Canadian customers would like you to know that you're losing customers due to your sudden change in shipping carriers as it is just not economically feasible for us now. Go back to using RoyalMail THEN you'll win us all back.

My Stella McCartney bag arrived nicely packaged in a discreetly unmarked box which i like. My experience with ordering from ssense.com was good. However my only gripe is that this bag was advertised as WHITE. But in actuality, it was CREAM (OFF-WHITE). I decided to keep the bag as i couldn't be bothered with the inconvenience of the return process. But i would have preferred if you advertised the color correctly as OFF-WHITE or CREAM. So i'm out $1200 with a bag i thought was snow white when it's not. Meh.

In response to the ssense.com rep: You wrote "the Item color in promo images can vary from screen to screen." That is irrelevant as the description clearly stated the color as WHITE. White is white. White isn't cream or off-white in color. White is a color as pure as snow. So there is no disputing that your team's description of this 'white' Stella McCartney bag is completely erroneous and you should take responsibility for this error instead of trying to place blame on a computer screen.

  • GoJane

11/30/14

I'm giving gojane.com a MEH as they're not too Canada-friendly. Whenever they offer free shipping, it's always with no minimum $ for the US. but when they offer free shipping to all the loyal customers in Canada, there's always a catch... minimum order of $80 or $100... alwaaaaaaaaaaaaays. There's neverrrr free shipping for Canada without any stipulations. And their Black Friday/Cyber Monday promo's are the same. There are a ton of major online websites who offer free shipping to Canada without minimums on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. That's why myself and all my online shopper friends have not purchased anything from gojane.com this Black Friday/Cyber Monday. We had a shopping frenzy this Black Friday weekend at other major online sites and got a motherlode.

gojane.com: if you're reading this, i hope you know that placing a minimum of $80 and $100 purchase JUST to achieve free shipping is not a juicy 'deal' too good to pass up. Thanks but i'll pass.

  • CapezioShoes.ca

Fab selection of shoes without having the risk of paying any duty/brokerage fees as this online merchant is based in Toronto, Canada... scoooooOore! My Jeffrey Campbell ankle boots arrived in a timely fashion and everything was perfect. Highly recommended! :D

  • New Look

3/31/14

Good selection of products... although I prefer shopping at their actual Oxford store in London which offer waaayyy more in terms of selection. I've ordered from New Look several times and they've all been no probz. However, one time I ordered a pair of shoes and they weren't shipped in a box so they incurred a few dings and marks in the material. But my other orders from them have always been two thumbs up. So overall, a good reliable company with timely shipping and arrival.

  • Mango

3/31/14

Firstly, they took forever to ship my parcel... 5 days after I had placed the order. Secondly, the 3 out of the 4 items I had purchased were of poor quality. One item I had ordered... a gold-toned ring advertised as shiny yellow gold on their website actually turned out to be a dull, dark brass color. Complete false advertising. And another item I had ordered... a croc iPhone case doesn't even fit my iPhone 5 properly! The croc 'iPhone' case is more like a business card case! Pathetic advertising of low-quality meh products... UPDATE: ok so after that bad experience I had over a year ago, I spotted 2 items on mango.com that I absolutely had to have so I decided to order from them to give them a chance at redemption. And boy am I glad I did. My parcel was shipped promptly this time. And everything arrived neatly packaged and safe & sound. I'm a happy camper! Mango.com you have redeemed urself! I will be a return shopper! Two thumbs up! :O)

  • NeedSupply

After a horrible ordeal corresponding with www.needsupply.com, I'm warning all online consumers to stay away. After several days had gone by without any email notification of my order shipment, I contacted their customer service team regarding the tracking number of my shipment. I was given a useless tracking number that didn't even work after I tried several attempts. I contacted their customer service team again to inquire about the invalid tracking number at which point I received a shockingly mentally imbalanced reply: "it does work ok!"
- - - - W O W - - - - Needless to say, that tracking number DID NOT work and was indeed invalid. Just as I had thought. After patiently waiting, my parcel finally arrived after 4 and a half weeks with a DIFFERENT tracking number altogether. Avoid this abhorrent online merchant at all costs everyone.

  • Marcelle

3/21/14

marcelle.com was having a promotional 40% off everything to celebrate International Women's Day. So i decided to place an order from them. I placed the order on march 13th... my order was finallyyyyyy shipped out of their warehouse on march 21st... a full 8 days after i had placed the order. Completely unacceptable. If they're short-staffed on warehouse employees, they should think of hiring more staff to handle the sales events. Doubt i'll be ordering from them again.

UPDATE: their customer service representative named Liné emailed me to apologize for the discrepancy. She offered stellar customer service. Thank you Liné for your exemplary service. You have redeemed yourself and I will continue to be a loyal customer of Marcelle.com as well as continue to purchase Marcelle items from local retail stores :)

  • Aftershock London

2/12/14

Poor experience buying from aftershockplc.com (otherwise known as Aftershock London). Their lack of customer services rendered was extremely disappointing. I didn't receive a tracking number notification via email after my parcel was shipped out. The fragile item I ordered wasn't even packed with any effort or care whatsoever. It was only placed in a cheap flimsy plastic baggy without any forethought of the fragile item incurring dents or scratches. Would shipping the delicate merchandise in a box been too difficult for them? I have never had this occur when ordering from other UK websites such as Asos, Debenhams, House of Fraser, New Look, or Dorothy Perkins. What a nasty turn off this experience was.

  • REVOLVE

1/13/14

Received my Jeffrey Campbell's well packed and in a timely manner. However, the website advertises Free Shipping to Canada and I was charged a sneaky $5 surcharge. So you need to read the FINE PRINT that states there will be a $5 surcharge on shoes due to the weight. Having to pay $5 isn't considered Free Shipping now then is it? This should be stated loud and clear instead of in the FINE PRINT. Kind of sneaky if you asked me. But overall, great customer service and an equally great selection of goods.

  • Kind of Magic

7/2/13

Fantastic selection of costumes and props and lots more. The owner, Phil, was super nice via email correspondence. And my parcel shipped out on the 2nd day after I placed my online order. Highly recommended site!

  • Steve Madden

5/24/13

Received my order a couple of days ago from stevemadden.com and the ankle boots are fab. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 only because they don't offer more shipping options. They don't offer USPS shipping, only FedEx or UPS... which we all know charge insanely high brokerage fees. To my surprise, I only had to pay FedEx $19.74cad in fees this time. The last time I had shoes sent to me via FedEx from solestruck.com, I had to fork out over $80cad. So the fees were actually decent this time around. And the Customer Service Department was extremely helpful, fast & prompt in assisting me with the revision of my order in a different shoe size. Ordering from stevemadden.com during their 25% off Friends & Family sale saved me $50 compared to if I had purchased them for full retail price locally at the mall. :)
