I made a reservation thru HolidayCars for a rental just before Covid hit. Due to Covid, my trip was cancelled. HolidayCars issued credit which could be used indefinitely. However, when I tried to use the credit, HolidayCars says that they cannot honor the credit. Here are the replies from them:

Giving out prepaid credits was one of the measures taken to sustain the business longer during this COVID-19 pandemic, keeping an opportunity open to repay the impacted customers over time. Unfortunately, due to the long-lasting impact, measures taken have not been enough to keep BookingMonkey Sarl (CH) from insolvency issues. Legal involvement needs to give more clarity on the situation.
