Have bought several purchases from Temu. All are Chinese made, and inexpensive. One item was damaged, emailed them, they refunded the money and did not have me ship it back. But, you have to look closely at the photo of the item. I was unaware they sold athletic sneakers with the tongue of the shoe being seamlessly attached to the body of the show. That leaves a small opening for the foot. Also, they offer a $100 shopping voucher to install their app on your phone or computer. I did not do this because like any other major company they collect data. If I want to open the site, I always type it in my search bar and open it like that. Some of the plastic household items were cheap and I decided to discard. A personal item I purchased required installation of an app on my phone to use. Went back and looked, it does show that in the photo add. My fault for not seeing it.

Tip for consumers:
Most shorts do not have back pockets. Was unhappy I didn't see that in the photos. Always read the item description carefully, look at the item photo carefully.

Have a 2 year old Bryant 2.5 ton HVAC system that was installed by an incompetent company. After so many calls to that company for repairs, finally called Kron & West. Top notch service. Chris, their tech, explained everything to me in detail and explained what was done incorrectly previously and what he was doing to correct it. They do not advertise; that should tell you how good their service is. They are recommended by satisfied customers to other future customers. Even had a misunderstanding about a yearly service contract, after the fact, and the owner gave me a no-cost 6 month service contract just to make things right. I love this company. Prompt, reliable and customer oriented service.

Tip for consumers:
They are a little pricey, but it's well worth the money for top-notch, professional service.

True People Search is also a part of Intellus. Both tell you in the first several pages you input data to that it is totally free and there will be no cost. What a bunch of liars and hooligans. Once I put all my info in, they asked for my year of birth, name and email address. Then a page pops up that says the first month is.95 to us the site. And there is a recurring monthly charge to your credit card. I immediately backed out of the site. Yet, they have my email address, so once the emails start arriving I will mark them as spam so I never see them. These two sites are scams.

Tip for consumers:
Scammers and thieves. Liars.

Wrong thermostat installed. The 1st one installed was a cheaper, on/off model. Electrical line not replaced with a heavier load line for the new heating system, therefore the heat pump is useless. The installer, Bret, lied to me so much about so many concerns for this system, I asked the company NOT to send him to my house anymore. Found out a license was never pulled and the company had a new woman handling that and that they were 6 months behind. I finally stopped calling 2Cool Air Conditioning for anything. I will use another company that is more trusted. I have nothing positive to say about them now.

Tip for consumers:
The first unit Bret brought out was broken and had to be replaced.

I had price estimates from 7 different installers. Almost all had the same price within $500. All the other installation companies sent out slick salesmen. What impressed me about 2 Cool Air, was their installer and estimator. Brett came out to estimate the cost of the removal and installation of my unit. Brett was so into what he was doing, he wasn't a salesman, he was an encyclopedia about HVAC. Although their office is located more than an hour away, I chose 2 Cool Air. In installing my Bryant unit, the first unit did not work and had to be replaced. Then there was a problem with wiring to the thermostat. And it was the wrong thermostat. But there were also problems with the house and house wiring. Brett had to custom build a return box to attach to my return so the system would meld correctly. I must have called their office person, Marcia 20 times. And each time she was pleasant and understanding. She must carry her office phone with her, because I've called her at home, at work, at restaurants, driving, etc. When it was all said and done, I had one of the best installers ever, Brett, who did the work. Brett explained in detail why he recommends Bryant over the other top name HVAC units. (I recommend giving Brett a nice raise. He's worth it!) And one of the nicest office managers I've ever dealt with, Marcia. When the County Inspector came out he told me the installer did a superb job. (It's the only compliment I've ever heard a Pinellas County Inspector give!) Marcia also informed me about rebates that my local power company gives after the installation and guided me to interest free 12 month financing. I highly recommend 2 Cool Air, but only if you get Brett as the installer! :)

Tip for consumers:
Get Brett as the estimator and installer!

Norton continually bombards me with ads to upgrade my services and telling me I have problems in my computer. I had to computer experts come to my home, which I paid a lot for, and they told me it's just a ruse to get me to subscribe for more Norton Services for my computer. I uninstalled Norton from my computer. I tried to unsubscribe on line, but it wouldn't allow me. I had to call. I called Norton this morning and was on hold for more than 50 minutes to talk with a representative in India. One more way to slow down the cancellation rate! After she told me I would receive a pro-rated refund, it sounded like she said "And your Mama too!" and hung up. I am so furious at Norton! What a scam they put on computer users. I will never recommend anyone to Norton for their computer security.

This company is located in Canada, and orders clogs sent directly from China to your door. You are also charged an international money exchange rate of about 1$ when paying. And to add insult, they offer to let you pay a tip to their admin workers in Canada! The web site looks great, but is VERY misleading. I ordered three pairs of clogs totaling about $85. I received two pairs, am missing one pair. Of the two pairs, one pair was so small my foot will not fit inside the shoe. The other pair is so cheaply made, I wouldn't by them at a dollar store. I sent them an email. No response. I called their customer service number which has an eternal busy signal. I think I am screwed out of my $85. I will never recommend anyone buy anything from this "company". Obviously fraudsters.

Tip for consumers:
Don't. Poor product. No customer service. Orders not fulfilled properly. Just a total scam.

Went there for the first time today with my ex-supervisor. This is a full serivce restaurant, not just a bar.
She ordered waffles, eggs, bacon. I ordered an egg omelet, tater tots. I'm a vegetarian. Wait staff was pleasant. Service was fast. The prices are actually lower than surrounding restaurants. Food was delicious and filling. It's a "trendy" district. And is gay owned and operated. Indoor and out door seating. There are high powered overhead fans in the outdoor seating area. Although the outside temperature was over 85 degrees, the fans kept us cool. I will go back.

Tip for consumers:
Enjoy the ambiance, low prices, and the food.

I purchased a heavy duty telescoping flag pole kit, 25', 11 gauge aluminum flag pole on Amazon Smile sold by Service First. The entire flag pole kit in no more than 5 feet high, but as each each section is fully extended and locked into place it finally reaches 25 feet. 18 inches of the pole will fit into a sleeve that has been concreted into the ground. And since I put two 3X5 flags on it, I lost another 2 feet. It is well built, easy to maneuver, and sturdy. I spent two days looking at flag pole kits. Most are only 16 gauge aluminum which is too flimsy. This is thicker and stronger at 11 gauge. It is wind tested at 100 mph with one flag and 70 mph with two flags. I live in Florida and sometimes the winds are harsh. Another feature I like is that if a hurricane or tropical storm is headed my way, I can collapse the flag pole, remove it from the sleeve and store it until the storm is over. It is not made in America, it is made in China. This troubled a lot of veterans. I am a veteran of 12 years. I go where the savings are. My American Flag (made in China) and my Gay Pride Flag (made in China) look really impressive on the flag pole. Additionally, I wanted a flag pole with no lanyard and so high the haters couldn't get to the Gay Pride Flag. If I could, I would give this review more than 5 stars.

When I clicked on t-shirts, a sweatshirt would come up instead. Your shipping charges are high, especially since it takes 12 to 15 days to deliver. After I paid for the order, I noticed two of the t-shirts came from England and one t-shirt came from, I believe, China. The two t-shirts from England were so small she could not get them on. The one from China was perfect.

Reason I chose this business:

Because of the catchy phrases on the women's t-shirts.

Reason I chose this product:

Buying for a sassy, older female friend. She will love these. Would love to have bought more, but your shipping charges are to high.

First let me say, I am a huge fan of Ryobi products, which is owned by TTI Group NA. One of my Ryobi batteries casing partially melted and I sent TTI an email asking for a replacement. The battery was new. A very nice representative, Alyssa Burns, contacted me and asked for a picture of the melting battery. I sent the photo on August 23,2021. On August 26, the emailed me and told me the battery was ordered. On September 14th, I emailed again asking when I would receive the battery. Ms. Burns emailed me back on Sept. 16th that it was back-ordered and they should receive the batter by the next week. It is now October 6th and still no battery. It's a hurry up and wait situation. These batteries cost around $180 at a local big box DIY type store. It appears the TTI Group NA is painfully slow in fulfilling two of their six points in the "Mission, Values and Quality" statements: (1) Doing the Right thing, and, (6) Exceeding Customer Expectations. (As a side note, one of Ryobi's batteries I had on charge in January 2021, exploded in my garage and I was unaware of it until the house filled with acrid smoke. It took the fire department to put the battery out after I had used 4 foam fire extinguishers on it. It took a friend and I one entire day of cleaning the entire house to get rid of the smoke damage. I was so traumatized by the whole experience, I never asked TTI Group NA to replace the 5 burned batteries, charger, the stand alone rolling tool box and tools that I lost in the fire. Watching one of these batteries explode and burn is like watching a mini-fireworks display! I now only charge the batteries outside, when I doing yard work and can watch the battery.)

Tip for consumers:
If you have to ask TTI Group NA to replace a faulty product, expect a very long wait.

This service is an escort service approved by Bay Pines VA Medical Center. I had a procedure at the Bay Pines VA on the 13th of August. Because I had no ride and an escort is required for this procedure, the VA recommended Helping Hands as my ride service. I call them on 12 August, and talked to a wonderful lady. We even had a lengthy conversation about her father's military service and how he and I are both sticklers for being on time. I wanted to be picked up at 6:15 am for a 7 a.m. appointment. She convinced me that 6:30 am would be early enough. At 6:30 am the morning of the procedure, I called her and asked where my ride was. She said she would call me back. She did, she said the driver, Jeremy, would be 15 minutes late. Jeremy also called me at 6:40 am and told me he would be 10-15 minutes, he was on his way. I told him t cancel. I called the lady back at Helping Hands and told her I had cancelled because the driver was late. She then proceeded to lecture me on how life is not always perfect. I will never use Helping Hands in the future. They are unreliable.

Tip for consumers:
Use someone else, this company and it's drivers are unreliable

  • Benedict's Family Restaurant

4/17/21

Two friends and I try out breakfast style restaurants we have never been to and Benedict's (Park Blvd in Pinellas Park, FL) was our target this morning. Parking is cramped and full. Tables in the restaurant are close together. The food was fantastic! Portions are huge, the flavor was fresh. I had the vegetarian omelet with English muffin and sweet tea. The large platter was packed. The waitress, (Nivea?) kept a full glass next to the glass I was drinking. Never ran out of tea! The food tasted great. Service was fast, extremely pleasant. The meal was really, really well-priced. As I left, I called the Manager over and complimented the restaurant, the food and the waitress. It was her first day! I would recommend this breakfast / brunch / lunch restaurant to anyone! Especially to vegetarians like myself.

Tip for consumers:
Appears to be very popular and packed. Get ready to enjoy some really good food.

Having had several all-in-one printers, the Brothers MFC-J491DW is my latest. The control panel is fairly complicated. The production is excellent. It's the ink cartridges I have a complaint about. I pay around $60 for a set of cartridges that include all the colors. I found out that it only costs around 23 cents to fill the cartridge. The copier manufacturers, and this includes all manufacturers, sell the copiers at almost cost to be competitive knowing they will make their adsorbent profit on the cartridges. And, all personal copiers are built to fail after so many years. You could fill your own cartridges, but under the holographic label on the cartridge is a small metal plate that has to be replaced if the cartridge is to be reused. The metal plates have to bought on-line from a third party manufacturer. It's a real shame that ALL copier manufacturers pull this same shill games on consumers.

Tip for consumers:
Go with the cheapest home printer you can find. They are all about the same. You will pay out the nose for ink cartridges.

The ad for Air Physio states: "This All-Natural "Lung Cleaning" Device Helps Me Breathe Easier & Strengthens My Lungs!" Essentially, it's a plastic pipe that you blow into to raise a metal ball. It creates resistance in your lungs and supposedly helps cough up phlegm from the lungs. It sells for around $60. Looking at the pipe and ball bearing, it couldn't have cost more than $2 to manufacture. I have emphysema and have continual build up of phlegm in my lungs, making me cough a lot. My specialist told me to buy a $1 pack of balloons from a dollar store and practice blowing them up. It does the same thing as the $60 for the Air Physio device. What a "crock" from a company in New South Wales to shyster someone out of money. I even read their medical documents from an unknown University written by an unknown scholar. He uses the words "theory" a lot in his medical dissertation. And since it's considered a "supplement" it is not evaluated by our FDA. Ads like this and companies like this that try to take advantage of a suffering and gullible public, really anger me. (The preceding statement is my personal opinion and has no scientific basis.) I do believe that if it looks like a skunk; if it smells like a skunk; if it sprays like a skunk; then it's a skunk. It stinks!

This site receives compensation for listing this device on the web. As does another tiered company. The companies that offer this device are not the manufacturers.

Went to Kim's Family Restaurant on Starkey Rd in Largo Fl this morning for a late breakfast. It replaces the old Peter's Restaurant which is a blessing! Kim's is clean, pleasant and spacious. The owner works the register and greets everyone coming in. She knows most of the locals by name. All of the waitresses are personable and pleasant to deal with. I had a vegetarian omelet with hash browns and onions with biscuits and sweet tea. My entire bill was less than $11. Very inexpensive. The menu is impressive and when my waitress was busy, another waitress came over to get me more tea. The menu is typical breakfast fare, delicious and well priced. The only thing I would recommend that the owner do, is remove the open boxes of jelly packs off the floor, under the table behind the counter. There is room on the shelves under the table.

Tip for consumers:
Enjoy. It is friendly, economical, clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. Kim has done a fantastic job compared to the previous restaurant at that site.

I went to Largo Family Restaurant last week-end and was very disappointed. There was a large banquet in an off-set room and only 2 other diners besides me. There was the owner, his daughter and two waitresses handling everything. One of the waitresses made toast in a conveyor toaster, which had a large pile of toasted bread just sitting on the counter. That waitress also handled and cut the toast with no gloves on. The father and daughter did not pull their masks over their noses. And I had to ask for jelly for my toast and refills on my tea. The prices are reasonable. The restaurant is a favorite with Eastern European clientele. It embraces the fact that someone can come to this country and do well. I applaud the owner for that. Unfortunately, the place seemed a little unclean to me and I will not be going back there.

Tip for consumers:
Waitresses do not check on their patrons to see if they need refills or to ask if the food is good.

I bought an Ozark Trail LED Spotlight SLV20 from Wal-Mart. I wanted a spotlight that was inexpensive, had a lot of lumens, lightweight and versatile. Was pleased with the purchase. The lights are very bright. It is rechargeable thus eliminating purchasing batteries over and over. I paid around $30 for the light. I researched hydraulic desks. One stood out fro the rest, but had never heard of the company. Bought the desk anyway, working from home, figuring I could return it if I wasn't satisfied. What a hidden gem. The desk is easy to assemble. Has programmable heights or raise and lower to your satisfaction. Quiet operation. AND NO SHIPPING COSTS. I paid $239 for the desk. It's now been reduced to $229. It is below the cost of comparable desks and all the other companies charge a shipping fee. I like it so well, I'm going to buy a 2nd one for my personal computer. I'm frugal with my money and was happy with the cost, free shipping and ease of assembly. The model I got, (from Amazon) is PTESD-S3B

I bought a Ohaho gaming chair through Amazon for $149.00 plus tax. It is listed as a gaming chair and an office chair. It has a high back with detachable vibrating lumbar cushion and a detachable head cushion. The seat part of the chair is not cushioned well and the wheel base is off-set to the rear of the chair. If I sit on the edge of the seat, it will tip over. The arms can rotate left or right and be lowered or raised. It has a pull out foot rest for someone who leans all the way back with a gaming console in their lap. And the back can be tiled back to super-reclining position. It I put pressure on the arms, they swivel out against my will. Because it is uncomfortable to sit in for long hours, I am not keeping the chair and will try to resell it to someone who wants it. I work from home and have 11 hour shifts every day. This chair IS NOT made for office use. I would not recommend this for office use or home office use. Additionally, Ohaho's web-site does not exist. When you do go to their web-site, all you get is a picture of the chair with neon lites embedded in it's outline. I could send it back to Amazon and ask for a refund, but I don't want to pay for shipping and the hassle of dis-assembly.

Tip for consumers:
Do not buy this chair for office use.

I have never used a gay dating site. I am 66 years old and just broke up with my partner. I joined Grindr because I knew my partner had used the site. Boy, was I naive. Most of the participants wanted to meet at my place only. Sounds like a great way to look over my residence for future burglary! And some participants sounded like trash.
