Bought a Boss Elite 8" subwoofer from SonicElectronix.com which was sold as new.

This speaker was DEAD right out of the box.
My multimeter read 0 ohms on the terminals

Rather than suffering the time and aggravation of dealing with customer service again I decided to carefully dismantle the speaker and see what was wrong... when I removed the dust cap from the center of the cone I was shocked to see dust and grit all around the area of the coil cylinder... this debris was not caused by my cutting through the hard plastic dust cap with a razor knife... it was obviously there when the speaker was assembled. This area of any speaker must be completely free of any kind of dust or debris in order for it to play correctly and for it to last... I could smell a burned odor from around the coil area and when working the cone up and down I could feel a scrubbing in the cylinder action... this speaker was sold as new and was dead on arrival... if you want to understand what I'm saying here you can go to YouTube and search... Rebuilding a subwoofer... and see how they're constructed... My guess is that due to a careless mass production of these cheap speakers is that time is more important than quality... I'm really shocked at what I've found... The cylinder area of a speaker works up and down with every pulse of sound and should be perfectly clean... I can see scrub marks on the inside of the sleeve that works up and down around the coils... I am really disappointed in what I have found and now I'm thinking about the saying ( You get what you pay for) Wow... I would have never expected this from any speaker manufacturer...

Don't buy a BOSS ELITE subwoofer

A few weeks ago I found a mower blade delivered by FedEx laying on the ground behind my mailbox which is actually about 175 yards from my house and completely out of my view... luckily my brother found it and called me

Tip for consumers:
If you live in a risky area for theft .... good luck on finding your delivery before someone else does .. no telling where FedEx will chunk it

FedEx left a new JBL stereo amp on a wet dirt driveway 3 houses away from my house... I was at home expecting the delivery at the time... One of my neighbors found it on the wet ground beside a street side garbage can as it was getting dark that evening... She saw the delivery lady down the street and confronted her about it and the lady blabbed something about her boss that my neighbor couldn't understand and jumped in her van and sped off... Lucky me again I guess...

If you like gambling with your online orders just buy from someone that ships FedEx

Pray when you see a shipment is coming VIA FedEx package service

Bad sub right out of the box. Their car specific measure was wrong. Didn't fit my car. Customer service sounds like they're in a cave. Can't hear them without a struggle of repeats on everything said... and to top it all off FedEx left a new JBL amp 3 neighbors away on a wet dirt driveway next to a street side garbage can... I'M DONE!

Tip for consumers:
Don't trust their sizing advice . Don't buy a subwoofer from them . The only thing good about it all was shipping time and FedEx screwed that up by leaving my amp 3 houses away on the ground

Products used:
4 out of 7 speakers and a JBL amp ... gave two that was wrong size to my brother and I will probably scrap the sub that didn't work just to keep from any more hassle
