I arrived in Boston, I kindly view as a hometown of sorts, only to find my hotel closed and so, "no room at the inn."
The Copley Sq. Hotel and landmark of Boston, turns out, went into renovations during heh pandemic - no idea when... but Unsold booked me a room without knowing they were closed. I arrived to NO ROOM available and had to fork out another $100+ to get a room the night before my flight home (LA area).
The moment I reviewed this and gave them one star I was called by customer service. They apologized profusely, and sent me a refund receipt, so now I await for the credit to occur. The offered to give me a multi night stay somewhere to make up for that, and I still await confirmation that will happen. They seemed to honestly now know what happened- but had this been a student or a family without the means to book another night is could have been terrible! * I am lucky to have found the Courtyard Marriott at 88 Exeter to take me in for a similar rate (+$15 or so) that night, so emergency averted. I will give them another try. We'll see if they follow through on the promises.
