Money driven and NOT concerned with patient care or well being. My son is 17 and is special needs. He has had issues with his eyes for many years now. We have taken him to multiple "specialists" to help with his vision issues. He has been a patient of the parent company to Sightwork Vision Therapy Clinic, Advanced Eye, for years. He was recently referred to Sightwork Vision Therapy. Medicaid approved vision therapy but not at Sightwork's full rate. We offered to pay the remaining portion not covered out of pocket but Sightwork declined because they want full payment at the time of service. They are refusing to work with their patient, not because they wouldn't get their full payment but because they are being greedy. Again they would get payed the amount that our son's insurance doesn't cover on the day of service but would have to bill the remaining balance to his insurance, which they refuse to do. We have gone as far as to have multiple advocates and caseworkers speak to Sightwork on behalf of our son only to have them say NO. In an industry that claims to put patients well-being first, this flies directly in the face of that and I would NOT recommend Sightork Vision Therapy to anyone. Heartbroken and disgusted!
