1/13/14

Just did my wedding there. It was only for 47 and they messed it up...

Umm its a planners and Brides worst nightmare.

Its too much of a production line in 2014 that there is No rehearsal. Until day of and its 10 min. At that point who cares. And decorations can't be dropped off until 1:45 m ahead of time. What bride needs to worry about that day of?

When I do lunch/dinner events at restaurants or hotels for 40, I need at least 2-3 hours to. Set up and their are no major decorations involved.

Decorations arent handled well by coordinators if at all. My wedding party was put to work. I offered to bring in my own people and was rejected by Karen via email to come find out that they didnt do much of the work; my wedding party did. Lol@ I even put up decorations, some wedding.

The DJ rushed things, our 1st song cut short; cake cutting happened with just the 2 of us.

My sister informed me that strangers were allowed to tour the boat during set up; as guests had to wait at the dock. Said it was weird taking photos. No we were not asked if they could do this.

And finally the officiant messed up our vowels.

If your okay with last minute planning, disorganization, a rushed event and big errors on your Big day; Electra cruises is for you.

At the end our coordinator asked us to sign off on the tip. They cannot get it without you giving it to them. This should not be done when your dead tired; leaving and packing up.
Even my brother said it was is first time seeing a bride set up and clean up in her dress. Lol!

Yes people the reviews are absolutely accurate. Read them over and over. Ellope; go to hawaii, trust me it will be better than this waterdown, cruise idea. And you can probably afford 3-4 vacations for the costs.

The water is nice but seek out a more organized venue for your own sanity.

In retrospect I would never subject ANY bride or the wedding party to this. If you cant get it right with a party of 45 then what happens with a 100 or more?

Im grateful and embarrassed that I and my wedding party had to put up all my decorations; but with 60 minutes to game time, what choice did I have.?

Our photographer Sharon 'she is on their vendor list was Absolutely AMAzing. You can hire her privately. Fabulous instruction, took the photos we asked and kept all her promises; so unlike the Electra staff. Missed the sunset photos as the captain turned the boat too soon so out of her control on that one. Yet she was fabulous.

The officiant and the coordinator gave us different instructions. My husband is so laid back even he was disappointed.

I hired Electra because I was told theyd do all the work day of.
They quote 1 price but once you talk to the vendors you realize the listed prices do not cover the basics, so expect to add another $4000 to your quote if you want photos, a cake, some decorations and flowers.

It was rushed and not worth the trouble. They couldn't keep their promises with set up and drop off and rehearsal.

After throwing over 100 events myself; i have to say this was the worst handled venue & business. And we deserve a refund!

Ask yourself 1 question; if this happens to me; will I be okay with it and how will I feel day of. Ponder that because it can happen to you.

Weddings are so much more than just location; its about an experience.

Yes Electra Cruises take responsibility; you really screw peoples weddings. And I will post these reviews all over the internet so any bride that can READ will save herself from this chaos
