I was a pre-pandemic backer of this inexpensive electric toothbrush. Unfortunately, I unsubscribed due to quality issues. 2 years later, last week in fact, I received an unsolicited package from Quip in the mail. The contents were a filthy, fingerprint covered clear plastic tube, an equally dirty clear plastic tube with a replacement brush head, a AAA battery, and a battered and half- opened bar of hotel size soap. I was shocked to receive anything from Quip but disgusted at the state of the contents. I contacted customer service and received a reply that showed interest in how I got the refill package but not at all in the unhygienic state of the contents. This is a company that provides dental equipment that people put in their mouths. Yet, their practice is entirely unsanitary and quality control entirely absent. To receive such carelessly handled items is unacceptable. During a pandemic I feel it's reportable. That's why I am writing today to warn you to beware the poor standards of hygiene practiced by Quip. They could be placing your health at risk.
